I've carried around a chapstick in my handbag, schoolbag and car since before I can remember. They're a good quick-fix treatment. Chapstick does provide some relief to dry lips, however, if I had intensely cracked sore lips I'd reach for an alternative product. Two fave's would have to be the strawberry for day-to-day use and the black packaging stick which I keep next to the bed. Its a classic that I simply can't discontinue buying.

My teen daughter likes this chapstick, but I found it dried my lips out so I needed to use it all the time. I didnt really like the consistency of it either.
"it is what it is" some would say. my opinion is that this product is a little out dated, for the same price you can get a nicer branded nicer smelling better looking lip balm that does do the same job and maybe a little healthier for lips.
I used these for a while a few years back and found them terribly drying. My lips would get "addicted" to them and I would find myself having to reapply every 15 minutes. Not a fan of the chemical and fake flavour and smell either.
The strawberry chapstick was the fist lip moisturizer I owned. I liked having something with spf after coming back from family vacays with dry, sunburnt lips. Now that I have tried other lip balms and moisturizers I wouldn't go back to using it as it wasn't as effective at moisturizing my lips compared to lip balms and other brands this is more waxy than moisturizing. But it definitely served it's purpose when there wasn't anything else available and I didn't have the funds for some expensive brands. Tastes fine and my boyfriend has a tube sitting somewhere since he likes strawberry chapstick.
This has been around so long and I have been given it a couple of times, some people seem to adore it, but not me. The 'flavours' are ok, a little more fake than others I think and some I find I can feel in the back of my throat, like something in the product catches there. I also find when I use this I need more and more of it, it starts out moisturising but then it drys out my lips and I need it more frequently.
Tips: Maybelline Baby Lips works much better for me.
I didn't mind the strawberry one, but the black one is pretty gross. It smells bad and hasn't really helped to soothe my lips at all. I wouldn't use it again.
It worked but then made my lips even more chapped and its bad for your lips I would not recomend this to anyone.
Tips: Don't buy it, it makes your lips worse
I used to use chapstick and it worked well initially to moisturize my lips but once it wore off I found my lips dried out. I have since found another product that contain more natural ingredients and performs much better/
I'm not a huge fan of chapstick. In the winter, i tend to use a lot of lip balm but this only moisturises for not very long before it starts to dry out my lips. Another thing I didn't like about this was the smell of the strawberry one. It smelt very fake and at times it was nauseating
