L'Oreal Pure Clay Purity Regime - Review

I was lucky enough to be picked to trial this regime by BR, so big thanks as always to them! I was really excited. Anyway, this regime retails for $14.99 for the wash and $24.99 for the mask I believe. For the price, you get a great amount of product in either. You can find it at supermarkets, Farmers, The Warehouse and other similar stores nationwide.

I did like this range, as I have oily combination skin, however, I would be wary if you are susceptible to dry patches. I sometimes do get them, and I found that these products sometimes made them worse. If you have dry skin, definitely steer clear of this range because I can only imagine how dry your skin would feel after it. The packaging of these products is also great - the wash is just an average tube however the mask comes in a hefty glass tub which feels very premium for the price. I will definitely be keeping these products out on display!

Overall, I definitely wouldn't say this is a miracle skincare regime, I didn't notice any huge improvements in the things I care about most (blackheads, huge amounts of oil) but this regime did perform a bit better than other face washes and masks I have tried. If you have to get one product from this range, I'd say get the mask, the smell is quite strong but it smells of gorgeous eucalyptus and my face felt nice and fresh after use.

Great Combo

I have been using the L'Oréal Purity Face Wash and Clay Mask together for about two weeks now.

I have noticed dramatically how much less oil my face is producing which I am loving :)

I use the face wash in the shower and leave it on for around two minutes, then rinse it off thouroughly. After jumping out of the shower I put a nice even layer of the clay mask on my face and leave it for about 12-15 minutes. It dries after about 10 minutes and makes the face feel super tight! I rinse this off with lukewarm water making sure to rinse everything off.

The results are very noticeable if you have clogged pores and blackheads. My blackheads on the nose shrink dramatically and almost disappear. My face looks a lot less congested and looks very fresh and clean.

My makeup during the day usually starts fading as the face oils melt it away, but the last week my makeup has stayed on all day with my face producing ALOT less oil.

I would recommend this to anyone that gets excessive oil.

Tips: Use together about 3 times a week. If you have super oily skin, try not to use too much moisturiser afterwards to keep skin on the dry side.

A good little combo for the oily skin

I loved these products individually and they work awesome together as a regime. Both products do not have an overpowering smell and the texture is smooth and glides on your skin.

The mask definitely drawers out all the oils and impurities from your skin leaving a silky smooth result. You can definitely see the mask working when its applied as the pores are sucked clean leaving a refreshed feeling from the eucalyptus.

The cream cleanser is great for washing off the mask as well as those days when your skin is super oily or dirty. Its a lovely formula, doesnt foam too much and it is not too harsh but does leave your skin quite dry afterwards and will need quite a heavy moisturiser to replenish the moisture in your skin.

I do recommend only using the products when you are going through oily periods or even limiting the use of the products to one or twice a week so you dont over stimulate your skin to produce more oil to cope with the dryness.

Tips: limit the use of the products if your skin is becoming too dry or irritated

Bye to blackheads and clogged pores

I've been trialing these products for a week now and have used the cleanser daily and the mask 3 times. I've got oily, clogged skin with a lot of blackheads so this regime was ideal for my skin type. Both products have matching attractive pale green packaging and are gentle on the skin, the regime didn't cause me any breakouts. The regime has a really strong eucalyptus scent so steer clear if fragrance puts you off. Since using these products in conjunction my skin has been noticeably smoother and softer. I've also found my skin feeling hydrated without it's usual oil slick! My pores have been less clogged and my blackheads reduced. This has also given me much better make-up days as my make up application is so much better going over clearer and less oily skin. I'll happily continue using this regime as it's made my skin feel and look so much healthier, I've even been able to ditch the concealer most days. I'd happily purchase this myself too as it is a bargain for the results it achieves.

Great duo

They say that team work, makes the dream work and this duo is good. They complement each other and look great side by side in the cupboard. The scents are the same and mild - please check out my reviews for my opinion on each product.

My skin is feeling lovely, and my complexion looks clearer, I also have less oil in the afternoons.

Definitely a duo I will continue to use & look forward to contemplating the results in a month.

Tips: Use a foundation brush for the mask, and less is more.

Great combo for oily skin

I used the clay cleanser everyday and the mask every 3 days for a more thorough and intense clean. The eucalyptus in the clay made both products smell pleasant, fresh and clean.

The cleanser is a wash and go product that makes it easy and convenient to implement into a beauty routine. The clay takes around 10 minutes to work it's magic so it's best to use in the evening.

These products really compliment each other as they both leave your skin feeling soft and fresh and both help remove excess oil, especially (for me) around my nose and forehead. Although it helped to remove the oil in my skin, the cleanser and mask aren't harsh as they didn't leave my skin feeling dry afterwards. If you suffer from oily skin I would definitely recommend adding these products to your beauty regime!

L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Purity Regime Review

I got the wash and mask in the BR trial team. Firstly I can really see where L'Oreal was trying to go with these products. The packaging looks great and is cohesive, both products are quiet similar in smell and consistency. But to me they might as well have been two completely different products.

The mask is fantastic, it does an awesome job cleaning and brightening my skin, I really felt like it made a significant difference to how my skin looked and felt. It also did a great job helping to control my oil, I defiantly noticed that I was less oily the next day. I will continue to use this and would consider purchasing it once I have run out.

The wash on the other hand was horrible. It didn't make my skin feel clean, but somehow still managed to strip it completely of oil. This left my skin feeling quiet tight and I also got serveral large and painful pimples. This did help control my oil but because of the breakout I have thrown out this product and will not be using it now that the trial has finished. I wouldn't recommend this product at all.

Quiet honestly the mask was the saving grace of this trial. If your keen to try the line, skip the wash and get the mask. Its quiet good and you get a lot of product so IMO its totally worth it.

Tips: Skip the wash and just get the mask.
