Skinfood Facial Cleansing Wipes Review

After finishing this packet I won’t be repurchasing it. I bought it from Countdown while on sale for $8.00 but it normally retails for about $10.00. I love the cleanliness that’s portrayed by the simple white and green packaging.

Instead of a plastic lid it comes with a resealable flap so just like with a significant number of wipes out in the market you need to ensure to close it firmly to avoid the risk of drying out the wipes.

Other than a light sweet natural scent I don’t detect the aloe or chamomile. The towelettes are about the size of my medium palm which is sufficient for my face. I love the solution used on the towelettes; it removes makeup nicely and breaks away eye makeup better than I expected.

I have sensitive skin and I have no issue using these wipes, my main problem is how the wipes feel against my face. I find it slightly – je ne sais quoi – scratchy sounds too harsh but it’s as if I can feel the fibres of the towelettes and I don’t particularly like that.

That slight problem isn’t something that would prevent me from recommending it to others because it does a good job and how it feels against the skin doesn’t cause any discomfort. However I've had softer wipes so I would opt for others before this one.

I love these refreshing moisturising wipes, they're great for the early mornings, soft and delicate. I would prefer if the packaging was abit easy to grab a strip of the wipes, maybe something on the lines of baby wipes?? Great value for money though

So saying, I won these, and love the brand, so I gave them a go.

Skinfood Facial Cleansing wipes come in the typical white and green packaging, which looks clean and fresh. The ingredients are clearly listed, if you're into reading those, and the key things they want to advertise appear to be the inclusion of aloe vera and chamomile, and the exclusion of parabens.

They have a little more of a ....soapy scent than I'm used to from Skinfood. Usually there's a fresh lime scent to the products I adore; that's missing here.

These are very 'wet' wipes. The cleansing agent is generously applied to the wipes, which are reasonably soft.

They do an okay job of removing most makeup, but certainly don't render my face totally clean. I'm left with a slight tingling while the products on my skin, and later on, once it's dried or dabbed off, skin feels really smooth. I usually break out after using wipes though, and these are no exception, so I'm more using them for touchups, to help get eyemakeup off, and to help clear my hairline at dye time.

Worth a shot, but haven't turned me back on to wipes.

I bought the wipes in a set with some other Skinfood products. They come in a white plastic package with the green Skinfood logo.

After figuring out that the aperture is under the Skinfood sticker, I removed the wipes individually. They are quite damp ( a good thing I think).

I’ve been using them for cleansing my skin when I arrive home from work in the evenings, and my skin feels fresh and clean after use. I find them very gentle and they don’t cause any irritation to my skin.

They have a very mild scent that is also non-irritating.

The advertised priced is just over $10 and this seems reasonable to me. My one comment would be that they would be better if they had a plastic re-closeable flip top like nappy wipes.

I use these to remove my makeup before I cleanse my face. It removes makeup amazingly for a natural face wipe. It is so gentle on my skin and smell wonderful. I go through one package really quick and always repurchase. The price is reasonable!

I love this product It is so good to have a natural option for taking off makeup when you are too lazy to do the full routine. It does struggle a little with mascara but that is to be expected. Reasonably priced, smooth, moist wipes with a pleasant natural scent.

I found these didn't remove my makeup it just dragged it accross my face, I found they were quite dry and didnt have enough moisture. I also didn't really enjoy the scent. Disappointing as I quite like a few things from this brand. I had a very red face once I gave up try to remove my makeup ! :(

oK So this is the secound product of skinfood i have purchased,

firstly it takes off my makeup quite well and I only have to use one wipe ! That is a first, I haven't found wipes where I could only use one I would have to use a few to remove all of my makeup,

but this range does skin the hell out of my skin and eyes ! it doesn't leave any rashes or anything just when im removing my makeup, so I guess this is not for me ,

I am a huge fan of the Skinfood Breast Cream (if you have it you will know why!) which I received in a BR box, so I was extremely excited when I stumbled across Skinfood products in my local supermarket a couple of weeks back! I grabbed these wipes out of convenience in the hope that it would save me time in my nightly make up removal routine.

They come in a very simple, easy to open plastic package which fits great in a handbag as well as in your bathroom cabinet. I found the wipes to be quite moist when I opened the pack and the very subtle fresh scent was great compared to other over-scented wipes which seem to irritate my skin.

I mainly wanted the wipes for the purpose of a light make up remover and cleanser in one, but they actually have even taken off my heavy make up after a night out with very little effort. I find them to be gentle on my skin and I don't have to rub or scrub at my skin either to remove make up. I also like the fact that they are quite large wipes in comparison to others I have used which means for light everyday make up I only need to use one wipe as opposed to 2-3.

Will be buying another pack at my next supermarket shop to chuck in the car and/or my handbag because they are so great! Plus it's awesome to be able to support New Zealand made products that are promoting natural skin care.

A nice idea, convenient wipe, but a little dry.

Due to the lack of moisture, you have to really pull and push in the skin, so not great around the eye area. I felt that with added moisture this could have been a good cleansing wipe, but as it is, it did a basic clean but not a great clean.

I wouldn't buy them again, I will look for something better.
