essano Visible Repair Facial Elixir

I loved testing this product and enjoyed seeing some positive results. The elixir was easy to use and absorbed quickly, My skin condition looks more rested and even. Wrinkles to the side of my eyes aren't as deep and the skin looks smoother.

Has a really nice smell like lavender. First thing I noticed is the black squeezy bit was very sensitive...it sucks up a lot of the elixir quickly. So I had to ensure under 1/4 was in the dropper each time I used it. Every time i applied to my forehead it quickly dripped down so when using, make sure u put to the side of your forehead OR middle/nose line. Felt really nice on and i would follow up with a day cream.

One problem I did encounter was my eyes were quite sensitive even though i didn't apply around my eyes or too close to them. My eyes at times would kind of water up, but didn't last long. I wondered if it was more to do with perfurme smell/ingredient (fumes?).

Within the first week the gold decoration that sits on around the dropper section came off. So it wasn't so pretty.

Did it work? I'm not 100% convinced. My wrinkles are very fine lines anyway and only show when i smile. Comparing today I don't see much difference but i would definitely continue using for another 2 weeks to give a better review. But was my skin soft? Hell yeah!! Felt really nice and lovely on my neck/upper chest areas. Applying day or night cream after, they glided on without a problem and didn't look heavy on my skin...followed by foundation some days.

PROS: Smells nice. A little goes a long way. Skin feels very soft CONS: Eyes were a bit sensitive for a few seconds after applying (would water up slightly) from perhaps the smell/fume. The pretty gold decoration bit came off leaving soft glue on the dropper/handle. With the eye sensitivity I at times avoided using in the morning if i had to go into work. But really it absorbs into the skin quickly. Other times i didn't have a problem beyond the initial watery eyes.

PLAN: I will continue using this. Ive got over 1/2 bottle left so will give some more time and pair with the official night cream. I have tried other brand serums and elixirs that have similar benefits and so far this is the best one.

This facial elixer is a lovely light oil based tonic for your face. It smells absolutely devine and is a dream to smooth on to your skin. It leaves it feeling silky smooth and nourished. I was only using in the evenings after cleansing and toning and after 3 weeks my skin seems at its best. Not sure whether my wrinkle depth has decreased or not but my skin is definately glowing and feeling smoother. I seem to have had less than normal outbreaks/blackheads while using this product. I love that it is made in NZ and cruelty free also. I even had a friend ask me what facial products I use after using this elixer for a few weeks. Such a compliment that I haven't had in years. I will definately be purchasing this in the future as it really is a lovely elixer. And did I mention the fragrance?? Absolutely gorgeous smell!! Apart from Vit C, I hadn't heard of lapagyl or bacuchiol but this combination definately works for my mature skin. Love, love, love this product!! Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Despite the 3 star rating, I really liked this serum. It smells amazing (reminds me of a perfume that was super popular in the 80s but I just can't put my finger on the name!) and is lovely and lightweight on the skin. Due to this, it sinks in very quickly which means that when using it in the morning, I don't have to wait before applying my day cream. My skin is on the dry side (and I'm 51) so it seemed to just disappear into it (I count this as a plus, but I guess it could also be a minus, depending on which way you choose to look at it?). I hate how some serums are greasy and just seem to sit on top of the skin - I didn't have that issue with this one. Despite the fact that it seemed to disappear into my skin, it left it with a lovely glow. The issue I have is that, despite all of this positive stuff, it really didn't do what it claimed. I loved the smell, the feel and the fact that you only need to use a few drops to get good coverage (meaning the bottle lasts a good while so the value for money is good), my wrinkles didn't appear to noticeably diminish. It may be doing good stuff beneath the surface however, so I'm going to finish the bottle and then re-evaluate. I had a nasty flu halfway through this 4 week trial, so my skin really took a dive and ended up super dry so maybe it was just that it had to work harder to get the job done - I don't know. But since I didn't have any negative feelings towards it and it feels really nice, I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt and keep using it. I don't feel I've got anything to lose at this stage. Did I mention the smell? Ah-mazing, especially right before bedtime. It feels like I'm definitely pampering myself by using this! I'm just not sure if it's doing what it claims but it's worth exploring more. I'd also like to try using the recommended creams after applying the serum to see if that bumps up it's effectiveness.

I have been using this on and off for the last 4 weeks. Unfortunately I find it causes my skin to break out in a few spots which is why I have to stop it for a couple of days when this happens and then continue on. I do however, think it is working, there is a small reduction in wrinkles on my forehead in particular and under my neck. I do find this serum is very runny, I slowly drop it on my skin and have to work quickly to smooth it over my face and neck. It does however, smell absolutely divine as most Essano products do. You only need a small amount so the bottle will last a while. I look forward to using it in conjunction with a day cream and eye cream and seeing the combined results.

Packaging is extra nice maybe it’s the gold box, it’s quite eye catching Easy read instructions, fabulous when you can read the small print, a nice glass bottle with a drop applicator for ease of use and control of product. The fragrance is very light and sweet not sickly It’s like an oil and soaks in quite quickly, leaving no greasy residue either. I used this twice a day am and pm using my usual facial routine I used about a quarter of a tube amount and I squirted this into the palm of my hand pressed my palms together then pressed this elixir into my face and neck. I usually use a serum followed by an oil so this was like a two in one for me bonus :)

To my surprise after 4 weeks I found my skin felt soft and hydrated and a bit brighter and definitely smoother feels very nice I have quite a bit the crepey skin on my neck due to age the skin looks a bit weird old. I’m sure it has improved in texture and I find it’s not so saggy or paper like looks way better brighter as well. When I finish this bottle I will buy one as I think it’s doing a fabulous job And you can grab it from the supermarket on special very reasonably priced nice that you don’t have to spend a small fortune to get a product that works Worth a try

New Essano Visible Repair Elixir has been specifically designed for mature skin using natural ingredients including Lapagyl, Bakuchiol and vitamin C. This locally made organic serum doesn't contain any parabens, sulphates or silicones, has no artificial colours and fragrances and is free from animal testing. Essano claims the serum will repair and protect the epidermal layer of skin and that wrinkles will be smoothed and softened with regular use. The packaging is a change from Essano’s usual rose colour and is now gold with accents of black and white. Much classier. The serum itself comes in a dark glass bottle which is great for protection against light. I love the dropper as it helps get just the right amount of product. My skin always has difficulty transitioning between the seasons with dryness and dehydration being a constant battle in winter. I’m always on the lookout for super hydrating products that will nourish my skin and help to combat dullness and dryness. I apply two drops of serum both morning and night after cleansing. Its thin viscosity ensures it penetrates and is absorbed quickly into my skin. However its texture is a tad oily to start with. I didn’t find this a problem as I gently massaged it into my face and neck for a few minutes. My skin immediately felt hydrated. It felt supple and smooth and looked radiant. I have been using the serum for four weeks and have noticed so many improvements. My skin feels firmer and its overall texture has improved. Fine lines seem less visible and if not minimised are certainly no worse. My skin feels super nourished and is glowing. I am really impressed with this serum. I have ‘mature’ skin so it was perfect for me. Great results from plant concentrates with no harmful chemicals. I will definitely keep using this.

The menopause had already turned my body against me. You do what you can and eventually come to a place of acceptance... BUT... then my own skin, started to react to the sweat behind my mask! My face products started burning and before I knew it, I had rough, red, flaky, angry patches,on my face, that a dragon would be proud of. Add the insult of a few nasty pimples and I was ready to avoid leaving the house for the foreseeable future.

The very same week this was going on, this little treasure arrived on my door step.... I decided to try it anyway, I had nothing to lose and I am very glad I did because my skin loved it! There was no stinging or burning. Within the week the dryness and inflamed patches had improved. Although, it feels quite oily when you first put it on, once absorbed there is no oily residue at all. My skin felt and looked more hydrated. I really like the fragrance and yes, it is quite fluid; but the dropper means that you can accurately measure out what you need. I found patting it in was the best way to apply it and used it on my neck and decolletage too. I can't say what effect it has on wrinkles because I don't have that many 'wink wink'; I can say that the texture and hydration of my skin has improved a lot; this of course helps it look firmer. This will be definitely be staying on my beauty product list.

The Essano Visible repair elixir is an oil-based product with non-greasy finish - The texture a bit oily to start with but does sink into the skin quite quickly and I could easily apply my moisturiser after. The product comes with a dropper that is very easy to use and no mess, but you can easily have and excess of oil on your hands as you cannot easily control what you need and use it is a bit of trial and error the first few times using the dropper.

The product has a bit of a smell (not overwhelming) however, it does leave the skin looking healthy and glowing after application.

A few drops are all that is needed for full coverage to the face and neck areas. The product is supposed to deliver instant and long-lasting hydration - It does seem to be hydrating my skin and I have now been using this product for just over 2 weeks but can visibly see the lines fading a bit. A little goes a long way - you only need one or two drops both morning and night after cleansing. Be sure to take a time to gently massage this elixir into your face and neck and follow up with a day or night cream. I just used the leftovers onto the back of my hand which seems to be prone to age spots, but I have not seen an improvement there.

The price is reasonable compared to other retinol products and seems if you shop around you can save about $8.

I do like the gold look to the product and packaging - always looks luxurious and the Black/brown combination offset is pleasing to the eye. However, instructions were a bit confusing as we read from left to right - diagram is left to right and second part right to left.... found it a bit confusing but sorted it in the end. The product claims to reduce wrinkles in 4 weeks and increase firmness in 2 weeks - More time using this will tell how effective the product is.

I have a sensitive skin but did not note any stinging or reaction - the first few times it is a bit oily, but you do get used to it.

Not sure I will recommend just yet - as I have not had the benefit of the full 4 weeks -after using it for 2.5 weeks my lines seem a bit less.
