These are a really good very easy product to use. The retractable stick protects, and allows you to extend if need be. The product itself is soft and glides on effortlessly, and is very moisturising. It leaves your lips feeling soft for hours. The bright red shade is slightly glossy so won't stay on all day but has good staying power all the same so maybe another top up on a night out and you will be sweet! No rings left round your face after a drink either!

I absolutely love these! I can look quite washed out without a bit of colour, yet I don't really have the time or the inclination to touch up multiple times throughout the day. These are perfect for me in that I can swipe it on lightly for a hint of colour or put a coat on, blot and reapply for a bold lip that lasts ages!
Tips: Buy every shade!!
I have a couple of these in different finishes, the main reason I brought them was I was wondering around a pharmacy waiting and spotted the lacquer lip crayon first with its shiny coat, well it drew me in and I walked away with 2 of them in my hands to purchase.
I'm normally a matte long lasting lipstick kind of girl as I'm lazy and putting on these types sees me through the day without touch ups but the attraction to these balm stains was strong.
Matte: Sultry (dark pinky purple) Lacquer/gloss: Provocateur (bright red)
Both of these offer a non dragging and non drying formula wrapped up in a butter smooth application crayon in a twist up and down capped crayon. The design of these are that the colour of the product inside is reflected in the colour of the outer packaging, even so much that the lacquer colour has a shiny effect to the barrel, where the matte colour has a muted matte finish to it. Both of the formulas were quite long lasting, the matte more so than the glossy red which seemed to want to slide off of my lips after eating and drinking which is normal of this type of finish. The matte stuck around a little after eating but soon wore away, both needed at least 2 tops ups during a 9-10 hours work day to see me all the way through, but these lip crayons are cute enough to slip into your bag, or put on your desk to top up with.
These balms act like a lipstick and lip balm had a beautiful love child together with a sprinkle of staying power thrown in for good luck. They hydrate your lips to a point, it isn't a complete substitute for a balm but it doesn't dry out your lips and has a very faint mint smell to it that wore off once applied that makes you think of regular lip balms.
I only have 2 of these at the moment but they do catch my eye as soon as I walk into Farmers or the pharmacy so no doubt the temptation to resist buying more will be short lived.
I am a huge fan of Revlon's colorburst range from the matte balms, to the lacquers, to the balm stains there is something for everyone. I have one of the balm stains in the colour 001 and I love it, I want to purchase more! They are super quick and easy too apply and last on my lips for most of the day as they stain them. They are still easy to remove though, they feel very moisturising and just look really lovely. The shade I have is a lovely pink and I love wearing it by itself or under a light pink lip gloss. The packaging is also very cute and matches the colour of the balm stain so its easier to find a shade that you want.
I love this product, was nervous to use a lipstick with stains in them. But this one was so good I really like the balm in it, it keeps your lips moist and the colour last for ages. Definatelty with use again.
Tips: Great for special occasions weddings ect
I recieved the colour Honey for Christmas from my lovely parents and I love it so much!
My lips are very dry all the time, and I'm not gonna lie, if your lips are chapped and flakey it will look gross, but I find exfoliating before applying fixes that.
They do moisturise and they do stain, two things I love about lip products! The stain on me from Honey is a bit lighter than the original colour.
I really like this for simple make up days because it's not too intense. You can build up the colour if you like but I prefer just one layer.
I can't wait to get more colours to add to my collection!
These are good if you dont have heavily pigmented lips. The matte ones are good for pigmented lips however. I have shameless, which is a dupe for mac pure heroine, a red one and a pink one (forgot the names)
Tips: matte is good for pigmented lips
I have three of these in various shades and love them. These are my go to lip product if I am going out and don't want to have to worry about my lip colour coming off if I know I am going to have limited opportunity to reapply it. I love how nice these feel on and they are super easy to apply. My only groan is that once the sharp tip has worn off they can be hard to get precise lines with but you could always sharpen it with a little knife if you needed to. The packaging is nice and easy to use with a twist up action to get the product out of the tube. There is a hint of peppermint in the balm when you first apply it but it is not at all overpowering and I find it refreshing and nice.
Okay I am 100% addicted to these things and I only own 2! They are freaking incredible and I aim to own every colour.
The two shades I have are Charm and Honey. Charm is an incredibly subtle creamy peach colour which I love to use in Summer as more of a tinted lip balm that slightly lightens my lip colour but still looks natural.
Honey is the star of the show and the one I have completely fallen in love with. It is an incredible my lips but better kind of shade and it matches my lips incredibly! It is the best lip product for everyday wear because it just makes you look more put together without overdoing it.
The formulas of these things are incredible. Super nourishing but not slippery and because they are a stain you don't have to worry about them smudging around your face. They last for ages and don't leave that dreaded ring around your lips. So convenient to have on hand. They are super easy to wear dressed up for a night time look but I think they go best with more casual looks whereas the matte balms and lacquer balms are harder to wear for natural looks.
The packaging also wins me over! I love that the colours are easily identified because they are the same colour as the plastic packaging. I also love that they aren't your conventional lipstick shape, i guess because they aren't lipstick! The lid stays firmly put as well.
The price is definitely affordable as the product lasts a long time and you can pick them up on special sometimes as well. I highly recommend these balm stains to everyone!
I love Revlon Colour Burst Stain! It is so easy to apply, whether you are wearing it casually or formally this lippy will do the job right. I use a lip liner first then add my lip stain to give my lips a more fuller look. I have converted lots of my friends to get on board too. This stuff lives in our handbags.
Tips: After a few hours it can look a bit dull but add a clear gloss and you've got shine back to the colour. It really does stain therefore you don't need layer upon layer on lippy just top up with a bit of Pawpaw or clear gloss x
