I love using this over my foundation for an even better coverage, I do feel with my already dry skin it can often if it is hot make my face even more dry. But does provide good coverage

Tips: Make sure your face is well moisturised
At first, I thought I had purchased a dud product. I applied it using the supplied powder puff and my foundation moved and looked dreadful. After a few days, the puff looked dreadful too. Then I had concerns about the oils on the puff remaining in contact with the powder. Throw that sucker out.
Now I've switched to using a Real Techniques Mini Powder brush from their mini brush trio and I swirl and then press this powder into my foundation and it is amazing. It really reduces the appearance of oil without altering the colour of my foundation. What is also of note is that whilst I use the Medium shade, I think this is probably a bit too light for my N2 skin, however, the colour actually only makes up 3% of the product, so not that big of a deal. Next time I order, I'll get the next darker shade.
The mirror in the compact is of a great size and folds flat, which I like for when I use it to touch up my lippy too.
The powder isn't as finely milled as the Bare Escentials Ready Mineral Veil, but I feel this gives a much better finish.
Tips: Throw out the powder puff and use something akin to a Real Techniques mini Powder brush for application, you'll get a better finish with less bacteria!
I thought I was upgrading from my mainstay Cover Girl powder, partly because this product is ridiculously expensive for essentially the same thing!!
The only difference aside from price? This stuff breaks me out like crazy! I thought my skin was just upset by a change in cleanser, but after some testing and remembering when I had bought this, I discovered it was the culprit. As soon as I quit using this, my skin returned to normal.
The case may look a lot more slick than the CG one, but I'll gladly cut out 2/3s of the price for a lime green case and zero blemishes.
I had been contemplating a mineral powder to wear over my liquid to help set it and keep from looking oily. I have quite oily skin anyway. I purchased this product after finding it on here actually. I did try a l'oreal product that is similar but it's a loose powder which did take away the oil but it was quite pale and made you look washed out. I tried the medium shade of this one by MAC and I love it. It's so light weight and doesn't alter the shade of your foundation. Really takes the oily look away without drying out your skin. I like that it's a pressed powder because it fits in my bag where as the other ones I've used have been a loose powder and are too big. I don't think it's overly expensive either once you consider how long it will last.
Tips: Definitely use a powder brush rather than the puff that comes with it.
I recently purchased this product and I am now hooked !! I have combination skin and this stuff is so light that it doesn't feel like wearing a mask, also blends well when you want to apply more to problem areas and less elsewhere - doesn't leave a noticeable line. Keeps the shine off the oily areas. Just love it :)
I have super oily skin! I use this powder to set my MAC prolong wear foundation. I just use the puff that it comes with as I like to put it in my bag and don't want to be carrying around brushes everywhere! This powder is amazing for my oily skin though and doesn't leave me feeling "caked" on. I've been using this for about a year now and will continue to use it!
Tips: Take it in your bag! Perfect for touch ups and won't make your make up looked too packed on either
this doesn't make your face cake its a perfect seal for your liquid foundations . it gives you such a natural finish not to matte and gets rid of shine for the hole day !
Tips: i use a kabuki brush and it seems to apply the perfect amount
Thought this product was effective but pricey - not necessarily worth it. I like to avoid products with mica and silica because they tend to clog my pores and cause breakouts after a few days, so I tried to limit my use of this product.
I have been using this quite sometimes now and I love how it last all day without making my face looking shiny. The MAC Blot powder doesn't feel heavy on my face, the product is expensive but worth every dollar spent. I use the Sigma F30 - large powder brush and pat it on skin for best result.
I brought this a while back when my sister got married as I was so terrified that halfway through the day my skin would be shiny and look gross in the photos!!! I kept it in my purse along with a blending brush on the day and it came in handy for blotting away the shine from both myself and my sister on her wedding day. It has little to no colour and the tiniest amount comes away onto your brush so no worries that you will look cakey at all! Another time I left my setting powder at home when I went on holiday and had nothing to set my under-eye concealer with....I gave the powder a good rub with my brush and it worked a dream, the powder is super fine and to be honest I felt like I had less creasing than I usually have. I keep this with me wherever I go now!!!
Tips: Use it as an under-eye setting powder too!!!
