Colgate Plax Mouth Rinse

I usually hate the overly strong taste of mouth wash so when I tried this I was pleasantly surprised. Makes my mouth feel really fresh and has a nice after taste.

I have been using this mouth wash for a few months twice daily. It is reasonably priced and a bottle usually lasts a fortnight in our place with 2 adults using it.

This doesn't burn your mouth right off the bat but can if you swish it around for too long. This is also great for gargling when you have a sore throat of for general throat health. Left my mouth and gums feeling fresh - no weird after taste. I found less plaque and bleeding gums after a few weeks use. Would totally recommend this

I have this in the light blue formulation (Peppermint) and I find the taste to be pleasant. It's refreshing but not overly sweet, which is how I prefer my mouthwash. Mouthwash that tastes sweet should be banned. I have also used the Fresh Mint, which is the green version. I also always ensure that they are alcohol free.

I gargle about half a capful of this for about 20-30 seconds - it does not sting or become unbearable like some mouthwashes do.

I use this every morning and night and it leaves my mouth feeling fresher than just brushing and flossing alone - it's an essential step in my routine.

Okay, so the dentist keeps telling me that mouthwash is not an essential. I think my standards of essential are different though, because I do like to have some handy.

Colgate Plax is an alcohol-free mouthwash, which comes in a range of flavours. I currently have Freshmint, but I've used the others as well.

The bottle is clear, with easy-to-read labelling and a white cap, which doubles as a 'cup' to avoid drinking from the bottle.

The claims are that it kills oral germs, helps to keep gums healthy, and freshens breath, protecting your teeth for 12 hours. I don't go around spot checking my teeth for plaque so I won't comment on that feature, but I certainly feel cleaner in the mouth, fresher and more 'finished' with a dental hygiene routine after using mouthwash. I like Plax because it's relatively inexpensive, from a known brand, doesn't feel like it's 'burning' as it doesn't have the alcohol content and tastes nice.

I occasionally use it between meals if I'm heading out but don't need a full teeth brushing session.

I bought this because I thought it wouldn't burn my mouth. But I was sadly wrong. It states on the bottle that it's mild but in my experience it still made my eyes water and my tongue burn. I was really let down with this as I hate that feeling with passion. But I will continue to use it as I don't like wastage. As for repurchase it's pretty unlikely. Tho I did see a kids version available so I may try that next.

Colgate mouthwash is a rather handy thing to have when you need a clean mouth but are on the run.

The mouthwash is a standard mouthwash; minty taste and a bit of a chemical taste. But what it does well is cleaning the mouth and leaving a minty fresh taste and feel behind for some time.

Now how well it stops plaque, probably only a dentist could tell me. But so far my teeth have always got a good report from the denist so perhaps it is helping.

I have brought a mini bottle of this for travelling and because the standard bottle is just too big. I want a bottle I can effectively taken a swig of, swirl around and spit out when I am in a hurry. The mini bottle they offer in their travel pack does this perfectly, but you have to buy the whole travel pack to get a little mouthwash, so I would love it if they sold them seperately.

The big mouth wash is exactly the same but with a bigger neck. Which is great if you're using it at home because it is more economical. But I found I didn't really use it at home.

Nice 'minty' flavours (my favourite is Spearmint) that do the job without being too harsh. Leaves your mouth feeling fresh and clean.

This stuff sur does the trick it is very strong. I like the bottle and found it easy to hold. I find it great and it lasts a while as well.

I have used both the green and light blue Colgate Plax mouthwashes and would recommend them. I find Listerine too strong (burning sensation) for my liking and Colgate Plax has a more subtle taste whilst still leaving your mouth fresh and minty.

Would definitely recommend to others that find Listerine mouthwashes a little too strong.

I love colgate mouthwas they are so mild yet effective and they come in different flavours so depending on which you prefer theres somwthing for everyone!
