I have the fresh mint mouth wash and use it after brushing. I find it really strong and over powering. It burns my mouth and tounge which is not ideal. Also after I spit it out I feel like my tounge is still tingling so I find myself rinsing my mouth out with water to get rid of the flavour. This is definatly not my most favourite mouth wash and I don't think I would re purchase it again

We recently purchased the fresh mint as hubby always likes to use a mouthwash, however I am finding it incredibly overpowering and feel as though it's burning my mouth and tongue!
It seems to have a strange after taste as well that I don't find very pleasant but it does leave my mouth with a squeaky clean feeling.
The packaging itself is great, easy to screw on and off cap ando clear bottle so you know how much is left. Don't think we will be repurchasing this one and I may have to leave the hubby to finish it off!
This is a great mouthwash if you don't like the really strong flavour / stinging feel. Great taste and leaves a nice fresh clean feel . Would recomend .
I bought this because I thought it wouldn't burn my mouth. But I was sadly wrong. It states on the bottle that it's mild but in my experience it still made my eyes water and my tongue burn. I was really let down with this as I hate that feeling with passion. But I will continue to use it as I don't like wastage. As for repurchase it's pretty unlikely. Tho I did see a kids version available so I may try that next.
This is the mouthwash I always purchase. I find that it is less intense than listerine. It is minty and leaves mouth fresh.
Ever since purchasing the sensitive mouthwash, there has been no other product for me! Having sensitive teeth is a pain (haha) as it is, and using any other moutwashes literally burns my mouth and hurts my teeth. The sensitive (paired with amazing toothpaste) mouthwash is not as intense yet still manages to leave my mouth feeling fresh between brushing!
I love anything Mint, so I found this mouthwash really yum and refreshing, and helped with removing plaque, got bits out of my teeth that my toothbrush couldn't.. only needed a small amount and helped my breath stay fresh for longer..
Tips: Buy when it's on special as can get pricey and make sure only you use the cap, as sharing can cause bad oral health!!!!
Kills germs, keeps gums healthy, gives you fresh breath, lasts up to 12 hours... not so much. This product does have a lovely, refreshing taste and certainly feels strong enough to take germs to task, but it does tend to dry out the mouth and the 'fresh breath' lasts a very short time. A good, basic mouthwash if you use as part of an overall oral health routine.
Tips: If you've got a small container, take some to work with you. In absence of a toothbrush, a quick swish with this mouthwash is just enough to set you right for the after-lunch breath/clean.
I was weary of this as i hate the burning sensation i get from many iv tried on my tongue. This spearmint one is said to be a low burn and it does exactly that. Before i could barely hold it in 10sec and my mouth was on fire, this one i can hold for almost the full 20+sec they recommend and only with a mild burn effect on my tongue that quickly dissipates once i spit. Very happy with this product and now i rince every single day!
Okay, so the dentist keeps telling me that mouthwash is not an essential. I think my standards of essential are different though, because I do like to have some handy.
Colgate Plax is an alcohol-free mouthwash, which comes in a range of flavours. I currently have Freshmint, but I've used the others as well.
The bottle is clear, with easy-to-read labelling and a white cap, which doubles as a 'cup' to avoid drinking from the bottle.
The claims are that it kills oral germs, helps to keep gums healthy, and freshens breath, protecting your teeth for 12 hours. I don't go around spot checking my teeth for plaque so I won't comment on that feature, but I certainly feel cleaner in the mouth, fresher and more 'finished' with a dental hygiene routine after using mouthwash. I like Plax because it's relatively inexpensive, from a known brand, doesn't feel like it's 'burning' as it doesn't have the alcohol content and tastes nice.
I occasionally use it between meals if I'm heading out but don't need a full teeth brushing session.
Tips: This also comes in a teeth cleaning travel kit made by colgate with a wee toothpaste, brush and brush cover for around $8. *Perfect* for a weekend away!
