Easy to use brazlian/ bikini wax

I've been using this wax for a few years now and have always been pleased with the result. The red wax comes in a thick white plastic pottle. The pottle of wax is easy to heat in the microwave and once heated the wax smells sweet and fruity. The wax comes with 2 wooden stirring sticks and application spatulas.

I've found that the wax is best applied about 2mm thick for easy, pain free hair removal. Much thicker and it is hard to pull away and thinner tends not to remove hair as effectively. The wax is really easy to use as it is peel off and any residue is easily removed with baby oil.

Tips: Dust skin of area to be waxed with baby powder before applying wax.

Great for hair maintanance

So off the bat, I I wouldn't recommend this for a first-time brazillian or the first after a long break from waxing. I don't wax the area in question during winter, but with spring on its way, I thought I'd give it a go. I trimmed the area before hand but I could still only manage a small patch before giving up and going into the salon for a fix up. That being said, 2 weeks later, I gave it another go with the small amount of regrowth I had and it did a great job, even cleaner than the salon with no hair left behind at all.

I also recommend this wax for underarm waxing. On one side I tried it in three patches and it worked well, but on the other side I just did the whole underarm in one fell swoop and it too everything! This product will definitely be saving me a lot of money

As I am more partial to the "bald eagle" style, I can't vouch for whether or not the stickers work, but I might give them a try next time

Tips: Lightly dust the area with baby powder before use.

Great for at home ladyscaping!

I have used many a wax before but all of them have never come up to par until I came across the Nad's brand and this Branzilian and Bikini wax in particular. It saves me from those embarrassing trips to the salon to show my ladyscape to the professional. I know it's what they do but it's really never been for me. This is why this wax is so valuable and effective for me.

I would much rather pay the $18 for this than $60 for a full brazilian. Besides that I like when I am in control of the wax strips. I can't speak for everyone because pain tolerance is different for everyone but this to me doesn't hurt at all it just is hot for a second then ebbs away. The box comes with shapes if you feel the need to get inventive which is sooooo up my alley! The wax itself smells nice enough, quite fruity but thick. It takes longer than directed to heat up which can be time consuming to get it to the right temperature to make it spread easier.

I love the calming wipes it comes with to help soothe the area afterwards. I smooth the wax on to the area smoothing it on firmly to grip as many hairs as possible. I try and pull the skin tight but as you can imagine it isn't easy in those regions. I pull the strip up against the skin growth so it grabs them firmly. I do find that it has a hard time grabbing coarse hairs and ends up leaving them behind. The wax can stick and dry pretty quickly which is hard to get off afterward so make sure you keep the wax on the area of hair you want gone only or it can get messy and sometimes painful to pull off dry bits of wax.

The hair free-ness lasts for me up to six weeks which is great and saves me shaving so often. I tried this on my underarms too and oh the difference it makes to my underarm skin. It is less irritated from shaving and takes up to 8 weeks to see growth. This to me is amazing in itself. I am sold!

Tips: It needs to be heated for longer than directed

Nad`s Brazilian Bikini Wax - "painful bliss?"

I loved the scent of this product and the wax was thick enough to grip on to coarser hair on the bikini line. The main factor which made me hate this product was that I was constantly re-heating it as it would harden after a few minutes. The product is very thick so when applying I found that I could not apply even strips. I would have a thick section leading on a pathetic patches of wax which were a nightmare to remove. The set includes stencils but after using the wax alone I really do not understand how the stencils would work effectively. The wooden spatula did not really pick up the amount of product I wanted and it snapped due to the density of the wax after scooping a few times.

Tips: Keep the product container in warm water or under light heat (candle beneath it) to keep the wax liquid.

NEVER AGAIN

Oh my lord. This product is painful and just difficult to use... the stencils are just a nightmare don't even try to use them they don't work. The wax sets super hard and is hard to get off and when you do it doesn't even get all the hair. I'm probably just super amateur at using this form of wax but for me it was TERRIBLE and I wouldn't use it again let alone recommend it to anything with hair! It's a no from me.

Tips: Not worth it.. Go see a professional

Great wax, annoying to use!

Okay before you begin, chuck those funky shaped templates they are as useless as tits on a bull. It took me a couple goes to get the hang of this product, but now that i am used to it it is my go to when i'm feeling too poor to pay for a brazilian (which is most of the time) or need to tidy up my bikini line last minute for the beach. Once heated up it goes on well, and removes all the hair with ease. I only do it in small sections because I'm a total chicken. My biggest peeve with this product is that you have such a small window of a couple minutes to wax with it before it cools down too much and needs to be reheated! So I spend half the time running between the microwave and the bathroom with a partially waxed fanny! The scent is yummy, but now I just associate that smell with stinging pain which kinda ruins it. The packaging is basic and easy enough to use but would be perfect if Nads came out with a warmer you could sit it in. I know veet came out with the spa wax kit but I found their wax formula crap compared to this Nads one! It is a much less painful and more effective alternative to strip waxing and as an at home hair removal remedy i would highly recommend this product.

Tips: Do it when you are home alone and maybe pull the blinds unless you have an extremely close relationship with your neighbours.

Not the best idea

I found this product sticky and messy to use. It was really painful and did not remove all of the hairs. I would not recommend this and would not attempt to use it again.

Tips: Pay a professional to do this!

Not pleasant

I decided to give this a try and see if I could do an at home job and man what a bad idea! First off it is soooo messy! The wax is mega hard to spread evenly and then removing it was even worse....sooo painful. The shapes seem so pointless to me and I have no idea how you could even use them. Would never use this again...lesson learnt.

Nowhere near as bad as epilating!

I decided to try and epilate my bikini area which worked but was very painful. Because of losing a lot of weight and having looser than usual skin the epilator picked my my skin continually and nope, just nope. I had done my whole bikini area but got carried away and needed to finish the job. I googled at home brazilian wax and this product came up. I went out and got one the next day. The wax took a bit longer than the directions specified to heat up but my microwave is pathetic so that didn't surprise me. Once I started it was hard. To begin with I was getting it everywhere and was making strips far too big. Once I got the hang of it I wasn't dropping it everywhere and figured out that smaller strips dried quicker and were not as hard to pull off. In terms of getting hairs out it did a brilliant job. Quite a few of the areas had absolutely nothing left after I had done one strip. The odd few hairs that were left I just tweezed out but they tended to be very small, stubborn hairs. I did have to reheat the wax a couple of times during the process and next time I think I will put it in a bowl with some warm water to keep it going longer. I have had professionally done brazillian waxes many times before so had an idea of the pain (apart from one bit I honestly think it's not that bad) and the process in terms of pulling skin taut etc. I have half the pot left and I will be doing this again to use it up and will repurchase it.

Tips: Make sure you hair down there is not too long to begin with, if it is it'll hurt more and be far more difficult to do. Make the patches of wax you put on smaller rather than larger, it will be slightly quicker and won't hurt so much when it's time to remove them.

Templates are not for Beginners

On opening the box the wax pot looks and smells like a fragrance candle, minus the wick. The templates are basically stickers that you apply, using the orange stick provided to fine tune the hairline.

The instructions say to microwave the wax and apply with the lolly sticks, but I found I had to extend the heating time and wait for it to cool significantly, and by the time I had applied half to the area required, the wax had got too cold, and left me wandering back to the kitchen to re-warm it wrapped in a towel (luckily I had the presence of mind to try this whilst my family was out!)

It was not easy to apply around your curvy areas, and pulling it off left some bruising the first time I used it, although I believe this may have been my technique.

I persevered with the treatment over a period of months, but by the time I got towards the end of the pot, the plastic container also melted in the microwave - making a mess that was not easy to clean up!

As with other home kits, I have found that the wax creaks apart and leaves little red spots around the bathroom, these are also not easy to clean off, you have to chip them away once they have dried. Overall I wasn't happy with the product, it didn't seem to get easier with practice.

Tips: Take the Microwave into the bathroom
