Terrible

I am sitting here right now after using it on my legs and bikini line. I am covered in red bumps that are itchy and unappealing. The smell was terrible and the burning sensation is painful. On top of that most of the hair is still there but am too sore to wax or shave.

Tips: If you insist on trying - Do what i didn't and test on a small part of skin first.

Yikes!

I brought this product hoping that it would be a quick and easy way to get rid of the hair on my legs without shaving or waxing. Just put it on and wash off right? No. Well it didn't happen for me anyway

To begin with you put it on your hands and the first point of contact you have with it is the smell. It is a horrible chemical burning smell. Do you really want to be putting that on your legs?

I followed all the instructions and did a play by play. Basically it came across as patchy, ended up having to shave my legs. My skin is also very sensitive and when you have that much chemicals on your legs you end up with a rash.

Disappointed in this product and would recommend sticking to razors and wax

Veet Suprem Essence In Shower Hair Removal Cream

Disappointed with my purchase of this product.I have dark, thick coarse hair,i read the instructions carefully, and despite following them to the letter, my hair was removed in patchy area's only.I bought this cream as it sounded like a brilliant idea, no mess, no fuss, do it whilst in the shower.Due to having a joint problem, sometimes conventional methods of hair removal are not all ways an option. Will not buy this product again. Disliked the smell. Would never recommend to friends or family Total waste of time, effort and energy.

Not the best.

I followed the instructions. It Stank! So bad. It only got rid of the finer hairs and left heaps of the darker ones in patches. not willing to pay good money for this product.

Tips: Don't use it.

This stuff was not good...

I will not use this again! It smells awful!!! The first time I used it and left it on for the recommended time it work in a patchy manor leaving me with some stubble - i would up shaving over top of it. the second time I left it on for longer and it was more successful but the smell ugh!!

Also for the price you do not get much product - three applications for me.

and again the smell ugh!!

A positive view on this product :)

I was surprised to see so many unhappy consumer reviews about this product as I was pleasantly surprised by how effective it is. I say that though having modified usage from the instructions...

I apply this and wait closer to ten minutes than the suggested 5, and then use a facecloth to remove it. I threw the sponge out after one use as I felt it was hindering rather than helping with application and removal of the product.

It does have a chemical type scent but it's on the lighter side, and is quite creamy, leaving my skin feeling less 'attacked' than it can be post hairing.

I have very dark hair on pale skin and it' simemdiately evident if a product can't handle that, but this handles the removal of hair from bikini line etc really well.

The tube is great, but I'd prefer a flip cap to the screw on for ease of use while applying.

Because I'm a busy person who can't always make it to the salon for (as Marian Keyes once put it in a book) 'de-gorilla-ing', I will continue to be happy using the Veet In-shower hair removal system. It does need slight modifications, but is entirely usable and effective as is.

Average alternative to shaving

I got this product free, I don't think I would have paid the RRP for it, as it seems a little expensive for the 2-3 uses you would get out of the tube vs the amount of uses you would get out of a razor for a similar price.

The product says to apply using the sponge, wait a minute, hop in the shower, then after three minutes wipe off using the exfoliator side of the sponge. I think if I had done this then the product would not have worked at all, because it is impossible to be in the shower and not let the water touch the cream, particularly if it is on your legs... as soon as the cream gets wet it rinsed straight off.

The cream itself is quite thick and fairly easy to apply using the sponge. The smell is quite strong and chemically, but this is what I would expect from something that is essentially burning your hairs off.

I applied this out of the shower, waited 3-5 minutes then got in and used the sponge over the areas of skin I had applied the cream. My under arms stung a lot and no hair really came out, maybe I would have needed to leave it longer as the hair is a little thicker, but my skin was already stinging so I wouldn't use again there. My bikini came off patchy so again I believe I would have to leave longer for it to work properly. My legs however felt so silky in the shower and once out of the shower and dried were actually very smooth and hair free.

I wouldn't use this as my permanent method of hair removal, but it is a nice occasional alternative to shaving my legs, especially during to the summer when constant shaving can dry out my skin and cause ingrown hairs.

Tips: Definitely try it on a small patch first (in each different area) before using properly to check for skin reactions. Leave a little longer than the instructions suggests and don't get into the shower until you are ready to wash off.

Big thumbs down

When I heard of this, I was skeptical, because I thought, "won't it just wash off." But I purchased it anyway, thinking that they couldn't just put something like that on the label and have it crash boom bang in real life. So I purchased this, thinking yes, a new way of being even lazier, while I wash myself, the hair from my legs will fall offf! False! So much false hope.

I'll start off with saying that there is a lot of product, for the price. It's also easy to squeeze out and spread on the legs no problem.

The smell is ridiculously bad. I've used plenty of different hair removers, I like to purchase from a different brand every time, and I found that this one by far had the worst smell of all, they didn't even try to hide the smell. It's just very chemically, and extremely toxic smelling. Be careful to not suffocate yourselves ladies.

The time frame suggested is in no way shape or form, enough time. I found that I had to wait double, if not triple the suggested time for at least SOME hairs to come off. And even so, it comes off in patches, looking like a fool having removed some hairs and not others. Ridiculous. I also recommend waiting much longer than recommended before hoping into the shower. Premature showering with this on, just wastes all the product as it gets washed down the drain.

Negative points for bad advertising, and leading me to believe that while I showered the hair would come off, instead of me having to wait an hour before I shower for it to come off.

On top of all the bad points, here is another. The amount of chemicals in this product is incredibly toxic, now it may just be due to the fact that I have sensitive skin, but this burns! It burns like it is deep frying your poor legs.

It left my legs with scars, rashes, as well as itching and burning.

Worst hair removal ever.

Excuse my "language"

I was 15 when I first used it and boy did it do wonders. As in ruined my skin so I had hairy legs hadn't shaved for about 2 weeks because I was on camp and we weren't allowed razors because they are harmful. Anyways once I got home I desperately needed to shave but I came to find that my shaver was gone so I shot to the pharmacy and saw this on the shelf it was priced $15 so I said why not. When I got home I applied waited for 5mins than rinsed off. I used it yesterday as well and I think my skin has gotten us to pain because it didnt hurt at all but it didnt remove as much hair. So thumbs down for this product

Works, Just Not As Expected

Even though this product doesn't do what it says it does - work in the shower - it's something I always like to have on hand especially during the summer. Yes, it smells like chemicals, all hair removal creams do, but compared to most this one isn't so bad! No it doesn't work in-shower, it will wash off. And yes, it takes longer to work than expected, BUT I still think it's worth it. Here's why: I like to apply it carefully and evenly to my legs, even the front my bikini line, wherever, wait 5-10 minutes in the bathroom while I brush my teeth, pluck my brows, whatever, then jump in the shower and use the exfoliating side of the sponge to clean away the cream and help remove the hair. Doing it this way is fool proof and leaves me with smooth skin and the closest hair removal you'll get aside from waxing. It takes longer to grow back than if I'd shaved and I don't get any bumps or ingrown hairs on otherwise sensitive skin.

Tips: If you have patience with this product, you might be pleasantly surprised. If it feels too tingly or uncomfortable, wash it off straight away!
