Really wanted these to work...

I had such high hopes for these but they did not live up to their promises and I will not be purchasing them (I tried them through a free sample). I found that they felt weird and uncomfortable on my skin and didn't really heat up to a temperature that did anything to relieve pain/discomfort.

They are also quite expensive for something that you might be using quite a lot.

Tips: Reading through the other reviews, it seems that they did actually work for a lot of other people, so I would probably buy them once and give them a go as everyone's body is different and they may just work for you.

Gimmicky

I received a sample of these a little while ago and thought they sounded like quite a good idea. I personally would not waste my time and money on them though.

Firstly, they are not hot enough! Luke warm best describes the temperature I experienced and that is not going to relieve cramps.

Secondly, they were not sticky enough and kept falling off which was annoying.

Tips: They would be better if they were actually hot.

Pretty average - doesn't take away the pain!

I tried one of these patches when I was on my period and it took a long time to heat up - then when it finally heated up it wasn't even that hot! I totally forgot I was wearing it and my period pain didn't get any better. They just don't heat up enough to be useful.

Tips: Just use a hot water bottle instead if you're sitting around at home.

Not a fan

I was given these by my sister after she found that they didn't work for her and they didn't really work for me either. I really like the idea but I don't think they did anything for my stomach cramps and it just felt a bit awkward, like I had a pad on my tummy haha, which also pulled out the little hairs there once I had finished using it. I feel like it might work for girls that have really bad stomach cramps but it just wasn't for me

not quite convinced

I found these quiet weird. They don't feel warm at first but gradually heat up. I also found the sticky stuff was too sticky and hurts when being removed. I also tried using them as a heat pack for my back during labour but didn't find they made much difference :(

Tips: Don't use on areas with lots of hair as the sticky stuff is really sticky and hurts when removing.

Lukewarm

The concept of these patches is great. They are discrete and you can go about your daily business without having to carry round a wheat bag or hot water bottle.

Unfortunately though it didn't really work for me. It doesn't seem to stick that well and kept slipping around until I taped it down. It also took a long time to heat up, and then it just wasn't hot enough for me to relieve any pain or cramps. It felt better if I pressed down on it, but then it kind of defeats the purpose.

I also don't like the design - it looks like a sanitary pad so it looks a bit odd if it is visible (e.g. on shoulders). It is also quite small so would only work on a small specific area.

Tips: Taping down the pad with first aid tape helps it stay in place

Great Concept, Poor Execution

As somebody who constantly carries a hot water bottle during "that time of the month," I was super excited to try these heat patches.

They are much more discrete than a hot water bottle, but that's where my happy experience ends.

They don't heat up as hot as I'd like, though I guess it would be hard to actually heat it up to suit everybody's preferences.

It doesn't hurt to take it off either, which is also nice. And the warmth stay for a while

Tips: Be sure you're putting it exactly where you want it... you can't remove it. Be aware of your lumps n bumps as well or it'll be an uncomfortable experience.

Good for on the go

I expected more heat, but having it in place did give some comfort and I was able to be at work enjoying some warmth. It's not as if I could be clutching a hot water bottle!

Tips: I used some extra medical tape to hold it in place after I re fastened it.

Libra Hotties Heat Patches Review

I was sent a sample of these a while back and didn't know what to expect when using them, this was the first time I had tried it and I was kind of disappointed. There wasn't much heat from these heat packs and they didn't stick very well. I could barely feel the heat and had to continuously keep re position it because the sticky part wore off so quickly. I personally wouldn't buy these for myself but if gifted then I'd probably use them again, the concept of this idea was great but the product itself was not so great.

Yeah the concept is great, but it needs a lot more fine tuning to get the product to the best quality product they can. I like how they can be worn out and they aren't noticeable to other people until its time to reposition cause its falling off lol
