Too much effort

I was so excited when I bought this product. I thought, yes! This is the end of my shaving days and going for a salon wax for good! I must say that after spending the money to purchase this product I was very disappointed. In theory this product works, but for someone who has thick and a lot of leg hair, it was a very long and timely process. It took me almost all of the sheets to do just one leg and it took me almost an hour to do one leg. I have up after I finished my one leg and went to the salon to get the other one done. For the extra money I pay I prefer to get it done professionally which is quick and effortless.

Pros and Cons.

I was so excited to trial this product, I haven't shaved or waxed since being selected for the trial, and my hair wasn't probably as long as I would have liked for this to be as effective as my normal at home waxing. Firstly I love the packaging (I'm a sucker for anything pink and it looks nice in my bathroom). It can sit on my vanity in it's little holder and there are no messy cords as you have to plug it in. I like concept of this product, and the main thing that appealed to me was the fact that you pop in a nice neat wax cartridge and can plug it in to heat up without having to keep testing it. It does take longer than the 20 minutes specified on the leaflet, it said to leave it a further 5 mins but I went away and forgot about it for another half hour. The great thing was this didn't make it too hot. I rolled it onto my legs and the coverage was perfect and even it made my earlier forays into waxing with a pot and a kitchen knife seem like a joke. The strips provided confused me; I have always used cotton strips and I wasn't sure if these could be reused or not. I found the Veet EasyWax was perfect for doing my legs but doing my underarms and bikini line was a completely different story. I applied the layer of wax and the strips but it only took off half of the hair - i reapplied and tried again but not much more effective. The leftover wax was very hard to remove from my skin and I had a real struggle using the back of the strips to try and remove the residue.

Pros: 1) This did an awesome job on my legs and for this reason alone I love the EasyWax Roll On. No hassles with messy pots of wax and trying to get the temp just right, and no spreading it on with spatulas or knives. 2) Nice neat applicator, really easy to use. 3) No waste it delivers just the right amount of product.

Cons: 1) I much prefer a water soluble wax as it's easier to clean up underarms and bikini lines in the shower afterwards. 2) the strips aren't re-usable and there weren't enough. 3) it's not a quick process if you want a quick wax in half an hour; it takes a while to warm the wax enough and it's quite a chore to get all the residue off afterwards.

I will continue to use this as I love it for my legs, and will just use my old method for bikini line and underarms. For me this was better on fine leg hairs.

Tips: Allow yourself plenty of time and make sure you have plenty of strips for removing the wax. I still give this an 8/10 as the pros outweigh the cons. P.S. It didn't even hurt !! I have a high pain threshold and have been waxing for years.

Very Torn

So the Veet EasyWax Electrical Roll on, really do not know how I feel about this product, it didnt work on me very well, I found that the wax didn't come off my skin nor did it remove any of the hair...

So I picked this up on special which was great because i wanted to try it but it can be quite costly, the packaging was so cute with it being pink and white and i loved that about it, perfect little size easy to handle with all size, great to just plug in, any where in the house where you want to do the wax. It came with the post wax wipes but i couldn't use them due to allergies. It came with all the instructions that you could need even if it was the first time waxing which was great so it explained very well what to do which I personally love.

The wax was a pink kind of cream type wax and once it was heated to the correct temperature it went on in a smooth consistency, I personally did not like that it was more of a creamy wax rather than a film, thats personal preference though i think, so I applied the strip over top done what it said pulled it off quickly against the growth but i found i was left with more product and hair left on my leg than on the strip so that was really disappointing, I tried this a few time and kept getting the same result so it just did not work for me, but then I had a friend over and I done the exact same technique on her and it removed hair perfectly so I am unsure as to why it did not work on me, I was really disappointed.

Overall I found this product did not work for me so I have not brought it since but I still recommend it to others to try as it is a cheap and easy way to do your waxing at home.

This is life!

Long suffering salon wax victim here. I've always thought that leg waxing is the most painful beauty regime ever, or at least until I used this product. I wont lie, there is pain, as is expected with any waxing, but this hurt 1/2 as much as any salon job I've ever had

Just heat it up and away you go. The wax strips can be used multiple times, and with my own legs being average to large, I still only used about 2-3 strips per leg, including sometimes sticking 2 used strips together to use the back of one.

My only con would be that there's no temperature control, but I just unplug the device for a while then plug it bag in when I'm finished.

Tips: Dust the area lightly with baby powder for less trauma to the skin.

Veet EasyWax Electrical Roll On

This Veet at home waxing kit has not impressed me at all. I purchased this around a year ago when it was on sale due it saying you can get salon results at home and have just reused it. I wanted to try out this system as I was/am over shaving my legs and honestly love the results that waxing gives you. I loved how it included all the essentials in the kit and I looked through the instructions which seemed simple enough. The instructions state that the unit takes approximately 20 minutes to heat up, however I had it on for approximately 40-45 and found that the wax still wasn't heated properly as it seemed to dry on my skin quickly. I quickly placed the strips on top of the wax and I found that the wax settled on my skin. I found trying to get off this wax was really hard and have given up with trying to wax at home. I did find however that the unit sits comfortably in your hands and is also gorgeous because it is pink and white. I wouldn't repurchase this product due to it not working for me.

Tips: I would recommend not wasting your money or time and go to a salon to get your legs waxed if that is the method you prefer.

This made me stop shaving my legs!

I love this product. I bought one about 18 months ago.

The funny thing is i'm such a drip when it comes to having my legs waxed, it's the part of me that hurts the most, but Iā€™ve got to say, with this product it hardly hurts at all.

You plug the unit in, and leave it for about 20-30 minutes to heat the wax up. Then you just roll it on the part you want to wax, apply the strip that comes with the product and off you go.

I find it works brilliantly and for me is almost painless. Iā€™ve only ever used it on my legs so I canā€™t comment on what it would be like on other places, but it is so quick and convenient.

The only thing I donā€™t like about it is the fact that the plug plugs, into the unit, not the base, so you have to keep pulling the plug in and out when you are actually doing the job, which is a bit of a pain, but apart from this, this is seriously the best leg waxing product Iā€™ve used.

At $40 I reckon itā€™s a bargain. It would cost me $60 to have my legs waxed in a salon, and I reckon this would last you 4 months if you waxed each leg (knee down) every month.

Tips: I did run out of strips before the wax refill ran out but you can just go and buy a box of plain strips.

Easy Wax Trial Review

I was luck enough to be picked for the trial for this. As I am a novice at home waxer I was nervous about the pain and also the results but I was surprised how easy it was and with some pain but not a lot for someone like me who has a low pain threshold. The instructions say to heat the wax for about 30mins but I found that it needed to be a bit longer probably about 40 - 45min. The was applies thin and evenly with very little mess which I was impressed with as I was expecting it to be messy. Being a beginner it was very easy to do with good results and little pain so long as you hold the skin taught. I found I could use the strips a couple of times before having to grab a new one. I wouldn't recommend using them more than 3 times in one go. I did find that there wasn't quite enough strips to use for 2 full legs so it will pay to purchase more just in case. The wipes that come with the kit to remove any residue worked well too. Over all I was pleased with this product and probably would use it again. The only thing is the waiting for the wax to heat up as you need to allow yourself a fair amount to time to do everything properly.

Tips: * Make sure you purchase more strips just in case as I found there wasn't quite enough for 2 full legs

* Hold skin taught for less pain when pulling the strips off.

* Make sure hair is longish

* You will probably have to heat the wax for longer than the instructions say.

first time using wax

Easy to assembled . Basically its plug in and heat.which is great .which means you can take it anywhere.it took longer than the 20 mins to heat.you can tell because it wouldn't glide on .it felt like it was ripping my skin.i did my legs first and that was pretty easy .but not going to lie it did hurt but after carrying on I got kind of use to it .I did end up with a bit of redness ( i dont have sensitive skin ) and you get some depilatory wipes to wipe off the wax I then put aloe Vera after to soothe.which helped alot.you really need to make sure you have good length hairs at least 2 -5 mm long .I had some strays that werent long enough to get.but can do when they grow longer.i tried doing my armpits hairs by myself ,I struggled big time to do myself .I had to get help with putting the wax on and also pulling the strip off. which was way better for me.but this hurt so bad I screamed and had the toe curl up of pain.but it did work !! It does feel smooth and knowing its going to be at least 4 weeks before I have to do any waxing or shaving.i dont think id do my under arms again.but id be inclined to do my legs again ! I was able to use the strips over and over a few times which is great as it only comes with 12.Loving idea again that its going to be aleast 4weeks till I have to maintain my legs I did find the the wax cooled down to quick for me says the temperature wil be maintained for 15 mins .(I may have been to slow maybe ) so I started to wax keeping it pluged it which it says you can do.big bonus.now that ive tried waxing im giving it the thumbs up .

Tips: Definitely read the instructions!! Skins must be clean and dry.free from creams and oils Do not use on varicose veins ,scars, moles or broken ,irritated, sun burnt skin Mite need help with armpits

Almost perfect!

I really wanted to love this product! I have used Veet wax products before and had really great results from them, and was looking forward to using the Veet EasyWax.

First impressions: The roller looks professional and appealing, and has a little stand for it to sit on while you use it, which is really helpful. It comes with 1 wax cartridge, fabric strips, and soothing wipes.

The instructions were very easy to follow. I have waxed my legs before as well as having them done professionally, so I had a fair idea of what to do, but if you are a total wax newbie there is a YouTube video showing how to use the product which I thought was a nice touch.

Using the product: The roller took much longer than the 20 minutes indicated in the instructions to heat up. Probably closer to 45 minutes before I could roll out any of the wax. The wax itself was quite plastic-y, and didn't all come off with the fabric strips. After a while I figured out that it helped to hold the skin REALLY taut, but even then it took a few go-overs to get all the wax off cleanly.

Overall: Despite the initial problems with heating up the roller, I eventually got the hang of it and ended up with a good result. My skin usually goes incredibly red with waxing, and I didn't find that happening at all with the Veet EasyWax. I will definitely be using this product again, and I'd recommend it to people who have waxed before. If you're a total leg wax virgin I would highly recommend watching the video and taking your time to do it properly, but if you've done it (or had it done) before you will find this product really easy to use.

Tips: Wait a bit longer for the roller to heat up. Hold your skin very taut to ensure the wax is removed cleanly. After using 2 strips, stick the wax sides together so you can use them again.

Veet EasyWax

Like others have said, it takes a lot longer than 20 minutes to heat up. I let it heat up for about 45 minutes. I found I had to leave it plugged in (which the instructions said was ok to do) because it cooled down pretty fast and would just pull the hairs as I was applying it, ouch! It glided it on easy with it plugged in, but the cord did get in the way a bit. The instructions were easy to follow and I had no problems waxing my legs. It wasn't very painful compared to other times I've attempted to wax! this is the first time ever I've successfully waxed my legs and I don't think I'll be going back to shaving any time soon! I like how I could use the same paper strip multiple times - I used 2 strips for each leg. I think there should of been more of the wipes though because I found one wasn't enough for my whole leg (I have thick legs lol) so I ended up needing to use all of them to get the wax residue off. The wax wasn't messy to apply which is great for beginners like me! Right after I finished waxing my legs, these dark red spots appeared where the hairs were which kinda freaked me out! but they went away after about an hour. I also decided to try this on my bikini area to see if it's worth buying the smaller applicator. Well, I will NOT be doing that haha! it hurt so much and started bleeding, so I'll stick to shaving in that area ;) Overall I love this and I'm happy that I won it from BR as I probably wouldn't have bought it after previous experiences with waxing. I find the price is reasonable for this kit and the refills.
