Perfect moisteriser for everyday

This is a great, everyday facial cream. I love that it has SPF in it. It also worked well under my foundations. I tried it under both matte and illuminating foundations and it worked really well as a base on it's own or with a primer as well. Quite often I found myself skipping the primer altogether as the moisturiser by itself worked so well as a base for my foundation. It helped improve the look of any dry patches on my skin. I also found that it had a brightening effect on my skin. It wasn't oily at all, so it didn't make my skin feel greasy. It just left my face feeling hydrated and nourished. I will continue to use it as part of my morning routine and would consider buying it myself in the future. I think it works really well for combination skin and is a great all in one product that would be ideal to travel with as well!

Olay Total Effects 7 In One Day Cream SPF 15

This bottle comes with a pump for ease of use. You only need to pump once as the amount is generous enabling enough to moisturise the face, neck and decolletage.

The fragrance is pleasant though slightly stronger than others that I have used and it was easily absorbed by the skin giving it a healthy glow.

I did find that some of my skin had shed in patches as if this product was working. With regular use this has resulted in a more even skin tone and with more elasticity to it.

It didn't reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I think you would need a specific product for age spots though with constant use over a longer period you may notice some difference.

My skin looks and feels more youthful with a healthier looking radiance.

Tips: One pump goes a long way.

Olay Total Effects Moisturiser - Not for me

I am a fan of supermarket brand skincare as an affordable option for everyday use so I was excited to give the Olay product a try.

My first impressions were good, the pump bottle is cute and convenient and it dispenses just the right amount of product. The moisturiser is creamy and has a pleasant scent that is not overwhleming.

I used it every morning straight after washing my face with my usual foaming cleanser. I found the texture a bit greasy on the skin so I left it for a while to see if it would soak in. Unfortunately it stayed on the surface and I found that it wasn't a great base for my foundation.

I do like that it has an SPF15, not enough for when you're outside a lot but it's good to know it's there as an extra layer of sun protection.

I used the moisturiser regularly for two weeks and while it is perfectly adequate for retaining moisture, I did not notice any of the anti-aging effects. Of course, two weeks is not enough time to see progressive results from active ingredients.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this for anti-aging treatment but if you have drier skin and want a day cream with sun protection this would be fine.

Impressive

I am going to review the Olay Total effects 7 in 1 today..after approximately 2 weeks if using it. Starting with the packaging.. i think the package is very well thought through, it is an elegant black and silver box cleverly targeting the age group it is after..30's and early 40's. I personally think the anti aging skincare range which is bright red and fancy colours makes the user feel older. I would never whip it out in front of people..alas!! They would think i am older than my years!! The bottle itself is a lovely sparkly golden with a black pump..beautiful to.look at and beautiful to use. The pump is really good as you can control the amount of product you pump out and there are no sudden spurts/ wastage. The texture of the product is creamy and easily spreadable. Be warned, if you are a first timer when it comes to anti aging skincare like me, this cream can tingle on your skin. It feels a bit sticky but nothing im worried about and easily forgotten with a few uses. Now to the results, there has been a noticeable change in the quality of mu skin. My dry and red patches have been replaced with smooth and calmed skin. Skin feels smoother to touch, radiant and makeup glides on smoother. In fact i dont even need much makeup these days. My tired and sleep deprived state is not mirrored in my skin. It feels fresh and rejuvenated. The formula is fast absorbing and you dont need a lot, a little goes a long way. The reaosn i gave 4 stars for the question re it foing what it said it would is that 2 weeks was a short period to actually say it reduced fine lines and wrinkles but that is only for me. Everything else is a big fat tick!!! Overall an awesome product which i definitely recommend amd will purchase. Love my experience with this so thank yoi Beauty Crew for introducing me to it. Xx

Tips: Use only half a pump for both neck and face..it really does the trick..the full pump is too much.

Olay moisture on my skin

I was chosen to review the Olay Total Effects Moisturiser Normal UV SPF15. I have now been using it for 2 weeks every morning. With it having SPF15 I only use it in the morning after my shower. It’s a rich moisturizer and very creamy, perfect for the winter months but feel it would be abit heavy in summer, personally for me. It has a pump which distributes enough moisturizer for me as I like to take it all the way down my neck but half a pump would be enough just for the face. I rub it around with my fingers and blot it on my face before rubbing in. In soaks in pretty fast and leaves my skin glowing and moisturized. I wait a good 10 minutes before applying my makeup to ensure its soaked in as it is abit of a heavier moisturizer. I love that the pump pushes the product up, it’s on of those the works up so you really get no product wastage when you get to the end of the product. I can’t yet speak on the reducing fine lines and spots but it definitely gave my sleep deprived mum skin a boost and a healthy glow. I definitely recommend this moisturizer and for the price you are definitely getting a great product with zero wastage.

Tips: As mentioned I let is soak into my skin a good 10 minutes before applying my make up, I find it’s a great primer for my foundation, with the SPF 15 making it abit of a sticky moisturizer it makes my makeup last longer and I look more radiant.

Makes a difference to how you feel

I loved this product from the moment I opened the box. It is a sizeable pump dispenser and it looks really quite elegant. I liked the pump once I worked out "how far down" was my level. I looked at the instructions which said "generous" but I only needed about a 3/4 push down for most mornings. I loved the idea it had an SPF in it but given its June that is more of a nice to have than essential. The scent is light and not overpowering which was a good initial impression. The coverage was smooth and in some ways it felt more like a BB creme than a moisturiser which really suited me on the days I didn't wear makeup. It was definitely a lush and decadent experience compared to the last few moisturisers I have tried which were pretty ordinary.

Honestly I couldn't see the difference but I felt like I was taking extra care and indulging a bit which was really really nice. I will be interested to know how I feel at the end of the tub (I also love that you can see how much you have used by holding it up to the light). Great product to be recommended for everyday use. A couple of folk commented that I am looking very well recently so maybe its down to the total effects :-)

Tips: figure out first how far the pump needs to go down for you and its a great dispenser. A great every day pick me up

Olay Total Effects

I’m not sure it made any difference to wrinkles or overall texture. It has helped the slightly drier patches that randomly appear though. Overall I found this product a little heavy for my skin. After application it seems to take ages to feel like it’s sunk in properly so for an hour or 2 it feels slightly greasy on the skin. I did try experimenting and using less (1 pump is HEAPS and could do face neck and décolletage!).. Will continue to use until gone though to see if wrinkles, texture etc improves with longer use but suspect it’s too much for my skin in hotter months (I get super oily greasy shiny in summer and even though it’s oil free I think it’s too heavy. I was lucky enough to be asked to review this by BR. It’s not quite right for me but still a great product as most Olay are!

Tips: A little goes a long way folks

Olay moisturiser

I was excited to try this face moisturiser. It comes in a plastic pump bottle and has a very nuetral smell. It is very easy to apply and you only need a little bit as comes out of pump quite fast. Is a quite thick but smooths onto your skin easily. I have been using it every morning and to be honest I haven't noticed any different in my fine lines and wrinkles. I do however like the moisturiser itself as my skin does feel smooth and my makeup goes on easily afterwards and lasts all day. Its not greasy at all even though it looks quite thick. I would use again and it is value for money and easy to pop into your grocery shopping.

Tips: Don't apply too much, just press pump gently

Easy Choice for an Affordable Day Cream

Olay is a brand I grew up around, my Mum always used 'Oil of Ulan' prior to the rebranding and so I associate it with a tried-and-true skincare brand. Myself I have tried various Olay products but this was my first endeavour into the Total Effects Moisturiser so I was excited to trial it. I'm 30 and as such have been beginning to incorporate more anti-aging products into my skincare regime so this was a perfect trial for my skin.

My first impressions was I love the packaging design, it's minimal and sleek which suits my personal preference and I love the pump dispenser. I did find the pump dispensed a lot of product so I preferred using a smaller pump so that I got just enough product for my face and neck without wasting any.

I really enjoyed the formula of the moisturiser! It was a thick lotion more than a cream and not too heavy, so went on easily and didn't leave an oily residue.

In terms of the benefits, I found it too hard to judge whether it had any effect on discolouration or wrinkles but I did find it very hydrating and perfect for my dry winter skin. My skin felt instantly refreshed and soft. I've found my skin has been looking hydrated too and it hasn't made my sensitive skin react either. I do love the spf factor and have found that on busy mornings I am completely happy using just this moisturiser when I don't have the time for serums and sunscreen.

Would I recommend this? I already have! A friend wanted a more affordable alternative to a high-end brand and I recommended Total Effects as I think it's a great all-rounder.

Tips: The pump disperses a lot of product, don't push it all the way down and your product will last longer.

Good Basic Moisturizer

I like the Olay range, its readily available almost anywhere and its economical. This particular one boasts ‘7 in one’ for fine lines, uneven skin tone, pigmentation, texture, pores, dryness and dull skin. All of which I sadly struggle with.. So to start with packaging is tidy, the bottle itself is plastic and it has a pump action top to decanter -very generous amounts if you so desire. First application and it has a lovely faint scent and almost luxurious texture, on first application I decantered far too much so lathered myself and had to wait quite some time for it to dry to apply foundation. But the feel on the skin I loved - it felt cool and hydrating. After using it for a week I havent noticed any major changes in my skin other than my forehead which usually has lots of fine lines - it still does but I think it may smooth them out ever so slightly which ill take! And dry patches is something I struggle with in wintertime so trialing this was a gamble and not even a hint of dryness with this moisturizer. My makeup is easy to apply over it and seems to hold fairly decently through the day. I think the winning attribute for this moisturizer is the hydration factor. Overall I think its a good basic daily moisturizer, I personally would alternate it with my more intensive moisturizer. Great trial product, would recommend.

Tips: Careful with the pump action top - it pumps a far too generously. Allow some dry time afterward before makeup application.
