Was recommended to use these by an acquaintance and found them to be very effective. I folded them in half and wrapped them around my fingertip for about 5 mins, and by that time almost all the nailpolish rubbed off very easily. I didn't care much about the grease or the smell, just washed my hands afterwards. I thought, like others, I'll not be needing nail polish remover in a bottle again. After using a few times I found that my nails started to be really brittle. Thought I could fix that by trimming them short but they just broke. Even tried a different brand of pads and the same thing happened. I never had awesome nails, they are ridgey and somewhat breakable, but this stuff made them twice as bad. It doesn't really live up to the promise of being non-messy. Your hands get covered in the grease and the wipes are quite wet so you need a plate or nearby bin to put the rubbish into straight away. A tidy person might do one hand at a time, but bear in mind that you'll need a glove for your clean hand or the polish on it will get sticky while you're cleaning the first hand.
I think I'll keep the pack I've got for a rainy day, it might be OK to use once in a while, but not a regular event for me. At least it doesn't stink the house out like regular nail polish remover :o)
Sorry I do not think these deserve the high rating from the first scorer. Yes they smell nice they seem gentle and as if they will not dry out your nails but the pads are very thin you think you have pulled out one and you have actually pulled out three or four I tried to remove my nail varnish it was OPI glitter polish and yes glitter is hard to remove in polishes so I held the pad on the finger for a few seconds and still no good. You need to really scrub to remove the polish it may work better on cheaper polish but it was really rubbish at doing the job on mine. Handy travel container for on the go but I have used better remover from the two dollar or asian stores.
