The color I got was the Hazel one and it was amazing! Its a tiny bit orange but other then thats its awesome. It glides on so good and stays there.
Tips: he color I used (hazel) worked pretty good on as an eye liner too
I found both positives and negatives with this product. I found there was a good level of moisture to the colour, and it was a very natural look on, however, it definitely wasn't a 'bold, larger than life colour' (mine was subtle coral - and it was definitely subtle - however this was sort of a plus for me as bright coral I'd find quite scary!). I liked the handy pen/stick style, but found the application area a tad small in comparison to some of the other options out there. Not the longest wearing on, but to me the overall look and feel is more like a gloss lipstick so I'd expect to do fairly regular touch ups. Overall - nice, but not wow. For the price I think it's value - especially if you love to have a few of the colour range, but for me personally I'd be more inclined to spend a bit more and stick to the likes of a Clinique chubby stick.
Tips: Be prepared to do regular touch ups and ensure you have a mirror handy for this due to the size of the end (bigger than a lip liner - but definitely not the size of a lip stick). Oh and be prepared to occasionally sharpen it as it's not a wind up style.
Certainly does glide on is more of a lip gloss, great shine, easy to apply, wouldn't actually say it is a lip liner. I was a tad worried as when I have used a lip liner before have found it quite difficult to get the blending but this is just like applying a lip gloss. My colour is Subtle Coral which I was a bit worried about whether it would suit me but it is subtle and suits me really well. It doesn't last long at all and found I was regularly re-applying, the gloss is not that sticky feeling either. I did find however when I sharpened it that it was very messy had alot of the lipstick left in the sharpener so quite a bit of wastage. Would of been alot more economical if it had a twist bottom to push lipstick up. Overall lovely gloss if I was popping out and wanted a subtle cover.
PROS: Nice colours available.Precise application is easy because of the pencil design - but sharpening the product is such a hassle.
CONS: I find the pencils to be quite drying and messy to sharpen.
I have 'Designer Blossom' which is a warm red colour - no shimmer. It has intense staining power. 'Suble Coral' is a shimmery pink/coral shade that appears almost nude on my lips.
Tips: Put the pencils in the fridge before you sharpen it so the lipstick doesn't make as much of a mess.
I have the bright pink one of theses and its fab! my sister gifted it to me as it was too bright for her. But i love that about it.
It goes on so smoothly and lasts so long. It does dry to a matte finish but its still moisturizing and has a bit of sheen to it.
I absolutely love the color its so bright and fun and it definitely stands out! perfect for summer.
This did stain though which for me is actually a bonus. Because then you dont have to worry about eating and drinking. The lippy stays on no matter what. You do have to use a face scrub at night to properly take it off though.
I have this in the shade subtle coral, a super soft, adorable apricot color. Application is so easy and I love giant pens for their precision. When I use the tip it's a sharp line and I fill in the outline with the flatter side. The pigmentation is a bit sheer but is great for natural looks. It applies super smooth like a lip balm and feels quite moisturizing. I don't really like how easily it rubs off, I can't drink or eat when I'm wearing this. Also I originally thought this was one of those twisty pens like the revlon balms. But you actually have to sharpen this and I have no idea what I'm supposed to use lol. I've been sharpening it with a craft knife but that ruins the look of the pencil.
Glides on very smoothly and quickly, doesn't bleed at edges and leaves lips feeling lush; however I don't like the idea of sharpening a lippy. Plus it wont fit in my sharpener and I think it will be a messy task when the time comes due to it being soft. I can now see why lipstick are retractable.
The colour I was sent to trial was Mysterious Hazel which is a stunning muted brown on stick or Nude on my lips. Even though I couldn't see a bold/larger than life colour I could still feel the moisture on my lips for hours after. I Love that it is unscented as some lipsticks I have owned in the past have a strong scent and taste, this product has none at all. I will be looking at the bolder colours next time I head out shopping (love the colour matching on the ends; would make it easy to grab the colour you are after in a hurry).
Tips: Would need reapplication once or twice during the day to maintain coverage. If you are prone to popping your lippy in your handbag I would probably avoid doing so with this one as the cap comes off a little too easily. Round off the tip for a softer look or sharpen for a more defined lip. If you wanted to you could probably use a neutral shade as an eye shadow too, just dust it with a touch of finishing powder to seal.
