MAC Strobe Cream Review

I couldn't love this product any more if I tried! It's a hydrating, thickish, creamy consistency that immediately illuminates and brightens the skin. I use this underneath my foundation as a primer because i'm not oily, I don't have to use an oil control. It's adds a subtle but stunning glow under foundation and keeps my skin hydrated all day.

I absolutely love to prime! And am always on the hunt for that new primer that does it all! I think I have found it! Firstly this really does smell beautiful, a light fresh scent, it smooths onto the skin beautifully, spreads out evenly and knowing it has added benefits such as vitamins and antioxidants is a bonus! But most importantly my makeup looks really even, smooth, slightly dewy, and just perfect! Recommend others to try, even if it is jst a sample and see how you like it first. I have oily skin but i don't notice that this gives any real difference to my skins appearance in respect to oiliness.

i love this! smells so good and so mosturizing! lovely to apply and i use it as a primer for foundation and it works a treat! super brightening and makes me skin feel awesome! great packaging too

This product is definitely a holy grail product for me. Whilst it is on the more expensive side it is a beautiful product that adds a luminous glow to the skin. You can either mix it in with your foundation, put it on before as a moisturising primer, or after to highlight the cheek bones. You only need a small amount so don't over do it- a little goes a long way. I've heard the L'oreal Lumi primer is meant to be a dupe however, I think the finish is completely different and I would recommend both. I think this product could be universally used among skin types as it is not oily or overly moisturising just leaves a subtle glow from within. Keep in mind I love a dewy finish though! - Looks great under Nars Sheer Glow

This isn't really an everyday product (for me anyway) but I like to use it when my skin is pretty dry or dull looking. Im not sure how it photographs , but it looks really luminous in person. I wear it in place of moisturiser and under foundation. I don't think it would suit very oily skinned girls but for combo or dry skin, it is great because it smooths out dry patches and gives you a dewy look.

I liked the cream but it didn't look good on my face and it didn't seem good for price as I can get something exactly the same for cheaper from loreal. Everyone thinks it's amazing but honestly the only thing it did was make my face yucky and it didn't agree with my makeup at all. But then again everyone has preferences :)

Definitely worth the price! A little goes a long way and it gives your skin such a lovely, natural and healthy glow. Personally I like to use it on cold dull days or when my skin needs a pick me up to brighten it up

Being obsessed with glow I needed this product in my life badly.. So I finally brought myself a tube!

First thoughts.. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be.. Don't get me wrong I love this product as a moisturizer worn alone.. I think it looks wonderful on the skin.. I also didn't get the whole.. Little bit goes a long way thing people were talking about.. I actually need quite a few generous quirts to get this over my face.. And that smell? So not appealing!

I also have to disagree with the claims of it being amazing mixed in with make up or in with your base.. I don't think its the all rounder people have made it out to be.. The people who sing its praises have obviously not tried the amazingness of illuminating serums blended in with foundation..

So my verdict is.. Great for skin care.. No make up days need this product! Make up days.. Nah, you can do so much better!

Omg I feel like Greek goddess with this on, it highlights my face a little and brightens up my face. The only issue I have with this product is that smell! You can't smell it after 2 minutes of having it on so it's no big deal but every time I get a whiff ! It grosses me out haha. Other than that love this product, it gives me a bit more moister as my skin has been super dry! Lately :( lol

I brought a travel size of this direct from MAC. I wanted to test it before investing that much money. I'm glad I did as while it's a nice product and I do like it, I'm not sure I'd want to spend any more on it. I am a huge dewy skin girl (like most dry skin girls are!) and yes, this does illuminate your skin. But I've achieved the same results from my L'oreal Lumi Magique primer. I'd be more inclined to recommend that and I plan on repurchasing the L'oreal primer whereas I don't want to repurchase the Strobe cream. It's not that it's a bad product, I just find it overpriced.

I wear it under my foundation or bb cream (or mixed in) I wouldn't use it alone as it kind of gives my skin a little too much glow but works well with my other base products. You don't need too much product, definitely less then a 10c piece (maybe half of that in my opinion). It's a white cream with no detectable scent.

It hasn't broken me out nor done anything magical too my skin. Maybe I'm being too harsh on it but for the price I expected something more then what my L'oreal product provides.
