I liked what it did to the foundation but I HATED the smell of it. it put me off using it and I gave it to a friend who also didn't like the smell. would not use again

At first, i didn't like this product. I tried dabbing it on my cheeks after applying foundation to use as a spot highlight but it never looked right. Now I use this either as a primer on my cheeks (different primer on the rest of my face otherwise i can look a bit oily) or mixed into my very matte foundations, and i love it! Using it on my cheeks under foundation boosts any powder highlight i add on top of my foundation. It also gives my skin a subtle all over glow when i mix into matte foundations. I find it to be fairly hydrating on the skin and would even wear it on the cheeks on days i don't feel like wearing foundation.
Tips: Play around with this product, there's a few different ways you can use it. Very versatile.
This was one of the first primer/base I used and I found it great. It definitely gave me a nice glow and was hydrating and brightening. More of a moisturizer than a primer. Still really like the product just doesn't quite do all it's said to do.
If you want a natural glow looking skin then this is your go-to product. I personally like how it can achieve 'strobe' skin look and good for everyday makeup. But whenever I use it, it kinda leaves my skin with whiteheads. This could be because I have dry, sensitive skin but I won't be spending money to have pimples on my skin and I feel like there are much better products that is half the price, and do the same work.
Tips: Buy a travel size first to try it if you can.
I died a few times over when I saw this product coming out... it was most certainly hyped up and looked beautiful! I got the colour peach lite cause I love my peachy shades!
PROS: I did love that peachy sheen (small con, for me personally I didn't feel like that beautiful 'strobe' sheen was prominent on me, whereas, I tried it on my sister in law and it was a lot more obvious). It is quite hydrating to the skin. which is always good before makeup application.
CONS: I didn't notice any jaw dropping differences with this product. I didn't find it made any difference to the makeup application by applying it before hand aside from hydrating the skin and giving a more radiant, glowing look but, maybe that's all it's supposed to do and perhaps it didn't really work for me because I have oily skin as I didn't notice any difference really, whereas it did add a pretty glow to my sister-in-laws face.. perhaps it's just a product mismatch due to my skin type?
CONCLUSION: I just feel as though this product promises a lot and I think it's nice... but not anything wonderful or jaw dropping. I don't feel a huge desire to repurchase..
I was excited to try this, as it's such a cult product. However, despite my best efforts, I struggled to understand how to use it. Was it a moisturiser? Was it a primer? Was it a highlighter?
In the end I did use it as a primer. And yes, I did feel I could see a healthy 'glow'. However, my main makeup concern is a tendency to redness (common in us pale-skinned types!), so this felt a bit superfluous to my needs.
If dull skin is your issue, this is a great product to try, but if you are more concerned with controlling redness and shine, this product is unlikely to do anything amazing for you!
This product is great for highlighting check bones, and under brows, not so much a primer because it is to glossy. The texture is a nice smooth consistency and is easy to apply. It has a nice pearly white colour to it which is really nice but i think i wouldnt be buying again as mac products can be expensive and not as great.
This stuff is great under foundation as a primer to give your skin that extra pep it needs after a long week of late nights. Also works well on its own, or under moisturiser for obtaining that dewy complexion. Contains pinkish shimmer, so it can leave obvious lines if not blended well along jaw line etc (I noticed this especially when applying to dry flaky skin on one instance) It's not cheap but my tube had lasted ages I don't reach for this as often as I used to, as my newer foundations have enough glow to them, but it's good for no-makeup days or to boost radiance
This is a lovely moisturiser with a pearlescent tint to it. It makes your skin feel great and look glowing. It is not too white which makes it great for all skin colours. I like to mix this with the studio fix fluid foundation to shear it out and add a glow finish.
Tips: Do not use as a primer as it is a moisturiser. Great for glowy bridal makeup
I was sold this at the Mac counter as I was looking for a dewy foundation and they said this would be good to put together with a foundation.
I spent some time putting it over the top of my foundation on my cheekbones but it sort of sat there and didn't sink in well at all. I've since started mixing it together with my foundation and using it on my checks nut not my forehead as it's a bit shiny.
To be honest I'm a bit 'Meh' about it given the price. I don't think I'll be buying it again and will try other options to get a dewy look. It's very white by the way - other products that I have tried have a more yellow base. It's also quite thin and a little watery which is perhaps why it sat on the top of my foundation.
