I really liked the clay mask packaging, I think the teal colour is very nice. I also like how it comes in a tub instead of tube. I always prefer face and hair masks in a tub as I find it is easier to get out and use up all of the product.
The clay mask is a creamy and thick textured item, like a thick body moisturiser. Other clay based products I have tried do not have a very nice scent to them but this one was very nicely scented and smells very fresh.
This mask is to be used before shampooing your hair, it says to cover your entire scalp at the roots with this mask then leave for 5 minutes before rinsing off in the shower then follow up with the shampoo. It is meant to absorb excess oils and dirt in your hair to help make it fresher.
I found this product quite difficult to apply as I am not use to using hair masks. I tried to apply it all over the scalp but got quite messy. It does rinse out very easy in the shower, I was surprised how quickly it did rinse out and was expecting it to take a lot longer to rinse out. It was hard to tell if this improved my hair and whether on its own it really makes a huge difference to my hair if I didn’t use the other items with it.
I was lucky enough to be selected to trial this range thank you BR. I have very oily roots so was eager to see if this could make a difference. I typically have to wash my hair every second day.
This product comes in a round pottle with a screw lid. Its a really good size. The scent is strange but not horrible. The consistency is a thick light grey clay looking substance.
Before i hoped into the shower, i scooped out a small portion with my fingertips, I gently massaged onto my scalp (do in sections if your hair is thick) and left for the recommended five minutes to absorb any excess oils.
The clay dried and I jumped into the shower. While I was rinsing, I gently massaged my scalp again. I felt like it took awhile for the water to run clear.
My fair felt lovely and silky. I would highly recommend this product. I used it once per week (three times so far) and the pottle will last awhile so great value for money.
Tips: I have a old foundation brush that I applied it with as well as my fingertips
