L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Arginine Resist Shampoo Review

The L'Oreal Paris Elvive Arginine Resist Shampoo was a good shampoo however it did not leave my hair more resistant to hair fall unfortunately. My hair is naturally quite weak and when washing, brushing and just running my hands through it strands easily fall out. However, in the shower it is worse. I was quite excited to try this product as this is a very annoying problem to have but found it made little to no difference. It was a nice every day shampoo, that had a plesant smell, but did not do what it offered.

Nothing like leaving a review to the last minute but I wanted to give this product all the time I could because good results don't always happen on the first day!

Firstly the packaging is very appealing - the colour choice with the name makes you feel like you are buying one step up from a supermarket brand (even though you got it at the supermarket)

The feel of the shampoo is light even to the touch and the scent is lovely but not overpowering which is exactly what you want for something that close to your face.

Next test for me was if it would agree with my scalp - often my hair loves a shampoo but my scalp doesn't and no problems on this front, my scalp is still happy as.

Finally and probably the biggest test was would my hair get healthier! I have a thyroid problem and am currently experiencing high stress situations which are both not good for my hair. The thyroid particularly would cause small clumps of hair to come away at once (luckily I have a lot). Because of this I didn't hold out much hope but thought ..... why not?!

My results were not instant or dramatic but they are there. I still lose hair (don't we all - especially us long haired lasses) but not in the clumps I used to. My hair definitely is in better condition and knots less which I'm sure is a good thing when it comes to breakages.

Would I buy this the next time I am buying shampoo - definitely! I would rather have less dramatic but sure results as I feel that instead of a quick fix this is truly getting to the health of my hair.

I have a habit of picking at my split ends while sitting through boring lectures, and since I've started using this shampoo, I've noticed that the strands of my hair are more resistant to breaking. My hair is elasticy rather than brittle, which means that it is less likely to fall out. On the outside, the packaging looks cute. Bright pink on black with matching conditioner bottle. It's enticing. But what is more enticing is the smell. This I noticed before I even opened the bottles. It smells fruity and delicious. Of course, opening it and using the shampoo, the smell is even more intense. It foams up nicely, and one wash is all my oily hair needs. It cleans like normal shampoo, there is nothing spectacular to the shampoo process. Over the past week or so, I've noticed less hair falling out when brushing it. I also have an extra layer of shine that my hair never had before. I would highly recommend this shampoo, just for the smell alone, but the shine and hair power make it amazing. Would definitely consider purchasing after it runs out, and it's great product for value also!

This product smells great and it has strengthened my hair. The smells lasts a few hours on your hair which is always nice. It has also effectively strengthened my hair, I have noticed there are comparably far fewer hairs coming out when I brush it. My hair is quite oily at the roots and dry at the ends. What I noticed is that the shampoo allowed me to wash my hair every second year, whereas I would usually wash it daily. It also didn't dry out my ends which meant it was easier to brush. I would definitely purchase this shampoo again in the future!

As usual I am very appreciative of receiving product for review, but this was not for me. First of all the packaging is cute - love pink and black, and it smells amazing!! The scent also lingered for a while after washing which was nice. My problem with the shampoo is how it made my hair feel while washing it - it felt really dry and made my hair feel stringy and quite brittle, obviously this is remedied by using conditioner but other shampoos I use don't make my hair feel that way.

As with the conditioner it claims to help with hair fall but I haven't noticed a difference even though I have been using both products in conjunction with each other. Results with hair fall could be different if I continued using the two products but I'm not a fan of how it made my hair feel so I will be passing this onto my sister to see if it works with her hair type and helps with the amount of hair she loses.

I have a bit of a hair loss problem. I don't have bald patches but the bathroom when I have dried my hair looks like a cave covered in cobwebs. My hair is stuck to the ceiling the walls and all over the shower. I have very fine hair and this product seems to have made a difference in how much I am losing. I cleaned my hair brush free from hair and after a few weeks yes it didn't seem as full. The shampoo is nice to use as it lathers well but doesn't leave your hair feeling matted as some products do. I only needed to wash my hair once as the shampoo was quite thick and concentrated, it also smells really good. The price is value for money compared with similar products on the market so well worth a try.

This is a fabulous product, feels so soft and creamy on your hair. I have better shine and stays fresh longer. And the best part is that I took photos of day 1 and again yesterday and my hair loss has reduced by 80 - 90% in just 3 weeks

To start, I should say that I don't know why my hair has a tendency to shed- it could be something medical related (for instance iron and thyroid imbalance can both make hair fall more noticable), in which case I doubt a drugstore shampoo would be able too make too much difference. That said, my honest opinion of this product is that it has done nothing to help reduce hair fall in my hair, which is the core claim the product makes. While the packaging is sleek, and the shampoo has a lovely scent, I don't find that it's any more effective than any other shampoo I've tried. On the plus side, it left my hair clean and soft and didn't seem to have any irritating effects on my somewhat sensitive scalp.

All of my family and friends kept complaining about my hair breakage so when this trial became available I was really excited to try it out. I wash my hair every second day and used this every time, but guess what! I still have half a bottle. Consistency is smooth and is easy to apply throughout your hair. I used the amount of about an old 50 cent piece and that was heaps for my medium length hair. There is an odd smell but it isn't unpleasant. The shampoo claims to reduce hair fall but after using it throughout the trial I see only a minimal difference. (Eg Hair fall only reduced by 25%, not the claimed 67%) I still have hair breakage however not as much, I also noticed that after using it I started to experience dandruff. Retail price is $8.99 which I think is a little overpriced for a product that only half did the job it was meant to. Packaging was nothing special and reminded me exactly of other shampoo packaging. I don't think ill be recommending it or using it again.

Who wouldn't love the packaging? Stunning black and hot pink, great combination. The fragrance is beautiful. In the shower the shampoo felt soft and silky. I used as per the instructions and on the first use I was pleasantly surprised. I do have a lot of hair fall and from the very first time it was substantially less. I was so happy! Drying and styling was a breeze and the shine was gorgeous! However, I am sad to say that I cannot get away without washing everyday as my hair ended up oily and it has taken me so many years to find a shampoo that will last 2 days for me. For me...almost but not 100%
