My Hair Loves this

I received the Garnier Fructis Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner duo as part of the trial team. The shampoo caters to oily scalp and dry ends and claims to be sulphate and paraben free – Natural products for the win!

Firstly the shampoo is packaged in the standard Garnier green coloured bottle with a flip top for easy opening and closing. Popping the lid open revealed a subtle nice smell, not too strong.

I have dyed hair, so I tend to suffer from oily roots and dry ends. Receiving this product seemed like a God send. Using a small dollop of shampoo, I was easily able to lather up my mid length hair. I only washed and rinsed my hair once, you don’t want to strip away all the natural oils anyway and my hair wasn’t that oily.

Once my hair was dry, I did notice that my ends seemed a lot more ‘refreshed’, looked less dry and felt clean – which is always the goal after washing hair.

I wanted to see how long this would keep my hair from looking oily and to be honest it was 2 days – better than other products I have used in the past.

I’m glad this product is in the Garnier range and would defs repurchase.

Tips: Wash out with cold water, twice if need be and apply conditioner to the ends right after

Cool as a Coconut

I really enjoyed trying this shampoo as I have natural tendency for oily roots and as my ends have been bleached they can often be dry feeling.

The packaging is sleek and I prefer the new click lids on these bottles versus the old design. The bottle now stands up sturdy in my shower and closed with an audible click so no chance of leaks. I do however miss the signature neon green bottle that was easy to spot on the shelf. The text is clearly written and it's easy to see which variant you are buying. I think the word shampoo should be larger however to distinguish the two bottles more obviously. I don't like that standing the bottle up on the lid means the design is then upside down, but that is more my tendency for order than an issue.

The smell is absolutely delicious, I loved showering with this and made me want to wash my hair daily.

Texture was nice and sleek, the colour is a pearlescent white and it's frothed up really easily.

It definitely cleaned my hair really well without feeling like it stripped my scalp of all the oil leaving it dry and more likely to make more! I even noticed less hair fall during this week :) My ends felt more nourished and very soft! However it didn't seem to help their frizzy nature.

Overall I like this shampoo, it's a good affordable price and i will continue to finish the bottle and see if it improves my hair over more time. I would repurchase this product.

is it good or is it a gimmick?

thanks to beauty review for sending me this product. in the 10 day trial time, i have used it twice. i was so excited to try this because i recently went to the hairdresser and she said i have oily roots. so this product was made for me LoL.

first off, garner fructis always delivers a lovely botanical fragrance. paragon free, silicone free...GREAT (now they just need to get rid of the sulphate). did it do what it says...maybe. i say maybe because all shampoo cleans your hair...doesn't it?

this shampoo allowed me to go four good days before having to wash again. five would be pushing it. i can usually go three days...so the more days between each wash is great! the other thing to note is that i don't get overly hot or sweaty from exercise on my head, so that may impact on the period between washes.

i will end by saying i will continue to use this shampoo...to continue trial it, as 10 days just wasn't enough time

Garnier Fructis Coconut Water Shampoo Review

This is one product thats off my shopping list. My hair is very oily and I need to shampoo every day. This shampoo lathers well and smells like any other shampoo. Infact there is nothing unique about this shampoo. The hair feel soft post washing. But they get limp very fast and feel heavy and oily again in a day. Not a good experience.

Lovely shampoo

I loved this shampoo! I have tried quite a few shampoos and this is right up there for a supermarket brand. I have thick hair so from the outright i knew i would need more product then normal.

First of all the packaging is great, it is a reasonable sized product and price compared to the organic brands in the supermarket. It is easy to access and stands well on the shelf.

The smell is beautiful not overly fruity and not coco nutty at all. I had to shampoo twice due to thick hair, but thankfully my hair didnt feel like it had been stripped which i have experienced with other shampoos.

It lathers really well and rinses quickly as well.

I have managed to go three days between shampoos and my hair once straightened held for a lot longer as well.

So two thumbs up on this product, will buy again!!

Perfect.

A new hairdresser commented on my scalp being quite oily. I didn't realise that was the problem but I had noticed that my hair was getting oilier a lot quicker than before, so she was right. From then Balancing shampoos were recommended for me so I have used a few, like Kerastese Specifique, Loreal Balancing shampoo, etc. Some of those made my hair quite frizzy and I didn't like them. The Garnier coconut water though, really hit the spot. The shampoo is a silky texture with a subtle scent and it really 'rebalanced' my hair, so that I couldn't really notice the difference between my roots and the ends. My hair stayed fresh for a lot longer and there was no frizziness, just looked moisturised at the ends. I am definitely going to stick with this shampoo from now on.

Tips: I don't think you need a lot of it.

Garnier Fructis coconut water shampoo

In the trial time I managed to use 3 times. I have always struggled with oily roots but the rest of my hair is dry from many years of highlights.

The products came in striking but appealing green bottles with sturdy click top lids. I had no leakages when travelling with these bottles in my bag either. They had clear text on their label and easy to read instructions for use on the back.

The shampoo and conditioner both have a pleasant fruity scent that I kept on smelling until my hair dried.

The shampoo lathers well and a little goes a long way. I made sure to get deep into my roots and down the length of my hair for best results. My hair felt well cleansed but not stripped of its natural oils.

Following drying my hair my roots felt light and ends of my hair felt hydrated and nourished. A great product that I will use again.

Garnier Fructis Coconut Water Shampoo Review

This shampoo is differently scented compared to the matching conditioner. Personally I think the scent of the coconut water conditioner is nicer. I like that this product is without parabens which are linked to cancers but I do note that there is still sulfates in this product. Sulfates are what make the bubbles and foam when you wash they can often strip too much of the natural oils in your hair making it dry and less shiny as well as potential to dry out and irritate your scalp. Sulfates can even get through to the hair cortex which can lead to dull fizzy looking hair because they can powerfully strip your hair and skin of its natural protective oil this allows the bad things like pollution, pathogens harmful microbes so you are at higher risk of getting sick. Even though the additive in this product can be argued to not be a true sulfate (due to being short an atom or two) it is just as damaging. Aside from all this and I must mention that sulfates are in most shampoos and beauty products so this product brand is in no way alone in that aspect. A positive for this shampoo is along with the coconut water which helps hydrate, the fruit extracts in this product may help nourish the hair, give hair volume, help prevent hair thinning/falling out and combat dandruff. Now for the performance of the shampoo: The product lathers decently but soon afterwards all the bubbles disappear as if my hair absorbed all the foam up. Because the foam or bubbles disappeared on my hair with this shampoo, I then felt the need to add more of the shampoo to get the bubbles back and "properly" wash my hair. So I feel the consumer of this product may feel inclined to do the same as without bubbles it does not seem like efficient cleaning if that makes sense. This is not the first shampoo I have used that has this affect and It will be something to do with the chemical composition. My hair felt soft after use but I did use with conditioner it did seem a bit frizzy at the ends at first but the next day the ends had settled down and actually curved nicely. The thing about this product brand is that will make me repurchase in the future they have modified the plastic packaging to make it more friendly to the earth I will be keen to try some of the other types from this brand.

Not sure...

This product seemed like it would be perfect for my hair type. I can never seem to find the right combination for my oily roots and dry ends, so I was really happy to give this a go.

First off - the packaging. It's a bright, cant miss it green, it even jumped out to my 8 year old when we were at the supermarket. It's easy to open in the shower, sounds silly but its not always the case. The scent of Garnier is always sweet, but this wasn't too overpowering - it lingered in my hair (my brother even told me I smell nice!) but wasn't too strong as to annoy me.

The first time I used it my hair wasn't too oily, so I felt like it did a really good job. It washed well and worked with the conditioner, leaving me with nice smooth hair. The next couple of times my hair was oily and then had product in it. I felt like those tmes it didn't wash my hair as well. The first time I left it, and as it dried it still felt like it was a bit oily. The second time it didn't feel like the shampoo was cleaning my hair, I used another one as well and it worked out better.

I think it is hydrating, so doesn't work that well if my roots are quite oily, but it felt quite good for the dry ends. I'm still not sure if I will buy the shampoo again.

Shampoo Shampoo oh how I love YOUUUUUUU!

First time i'd used a Garnier Shampoo although not my first experience with the Garnier Brand as i've used their sleek and shine treatment before which I absolutely loved.

I've been using a salon shampoo for the last 6 weeks so I was interested to see how this product would compare.

To be honest I was expecting it not to compare by a long shot, but boy was I pleasantly surprised!

It smells amazing which is a big plus from me and despite being paraben and silicone free, it foamed up nicely and washed out easily.

When I styled my hair it didn't feel weighed down or on the other hand too slippery for me to style.

My daughter is using it and she really loves it too.

It's a yes from me and i'd absolutely purchase it again!

Tips: I've just seen it on special at Countdown for $2.50! Seriously stock up people!
