L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Conditioner Review

I had high hopes for this shampoo and conditioner combo. As said in my shampoo review I was comparing the Loreal Elvive Fibrology duo to the more expensive salon version Nioxin which I have been using for the past 8 months with great results. The conditioner has a smell very similar to the shampoo, which I consider a typical scent for supermarket haircare - not unpleasant but nothing special. I'm a sucker for conditioners especially that smell good enough to eat so that was definatly a small disappointment. I looked past that though and still was optimistic that this combo could be a great cheaper alternative. The conditioner was a very thick consistency and spread through my hair easily and left it soft after the wash. I did notice that when the shampoo and conditioner were combined they made my hair frizzy and static which I find extremely frustrating and discontinued using the conditioner after this. My hair continued to be slightly static when I swapped to another conditioner, but not as bad. As stated in my review of the Loreal fibrology shampoo I have definatly noticed that my hair feels thicker and has more volume but I don't really put this down to the conditioner, considering I have swapped to a toning conditioner while still using the shampoo and haven't noticed a change in thickness or volume. Overall I wouldn't repurchase this as a set I would probably only repurchase the shampoo!

I feel the same about the conditioner as the shampoo. The conditioner I feel didn't cover my hair properly and it didn't soften it up I was disappointed by the fact it didn't make my hair look thicker. It does smell great though.

I was really excited to try this conditioner along with the shampoo, as I find my hair falls very flat. Although it makes my hair feel thicker, my scalp has not agreed with this at all. It has completely dried up and is very flaky. I wish I could keep using it but I can't deal with such a dry scalp. I have never experienced anything like that with any other conditioner (or shampoo) before. I think it would be an amazing product if it weren't for that.

I used this conditioner along with the shampoo of the same brand and was honestly more than a little disappointed. This product has the same eye-catching packaging as the shampoo and works well as a basic conditioner. Unfortunately, my hair was no thicker than it was before I begun using the fibralogy line, which was a tad disappointing. There's not much I can say about this conditioner other than it's not the worst conditioner i've ever used but it's certainly not the best.

The packaging was bright, appealed to me, and easy to function; also for the price its quite economical in size. The consistency of the product was quite nice, and made my hair feel great once washed out. I used the product with the accompanying shampoo, but did not find a huge difference to the thickness of my hair in the long run. I washed my hair every 2nd or 3rd day, and while straight after drying etc my hair had more volume, it did not last. I was also not a fan of the smell, i found it quite chemically, if it wasn't for the smell I would've finished using the bottle.

I used this conditioner along with the shampoo to try and achieve optimal results. As with the shampoo, I have not noticed any difference in the thickness of my hair. I don't generally use conditioners as my hair is quite long and thin, and I always have the notice of conditioners "weighing my hair down". But with this product, I wanted to be sure I could write an accurate review so I used it exactly as directed and used the conditioner after the shampoo. Although it didn't make my hair appear any thicker, I can say that I loved the smell and it did make my hair feel really soft and smooth! Even with my hair wet, it felt so soft and I asked my partner to feel it and even he could feel a difference in my hair!

So overall, I can't say I would use this product again, but similar to the shampoo, I will continue to use the bottle until it's done and will write another review for all the thin haired ladies out there in case it does make a difference with continued use!

I am always desperate to find a good thickening shampoo/conditioner because my magic mirror tells me I have the flattest finest hair in all the land. I'd been using a different thickening shampoo/conditioner duo for a while and my hairdresser told me that I had a dry scalp that was probably due to my shampoo/conditioner.

Most thickening products deprive your scalp of moisture because moisturising products weigh down the hair and volumising / thickening products aim to lift it. This was exactly the case with this conditioner, I'm now using a Head and Shoulders scalp care shampoo to repair the damage. As for thickening? My hair was not visibly thicker after use.

On a positive note, the conditioner smells like a tropical holiday and the smell lingers which is lovely :)

Having used this with the shampoo I unfortunately didn't really get a good result.

I don't usually use conditioner as it leaves my hair too soft and flat.

It has a nice smell and packaging as did the shampoo but doesn't seem to work for me.

I might try the reverse shampoo technique with both these products and see how that works and I'll update my review if I have good results.

Unfortunately the title says it all! I was excited to trial this conditioner and so wish that it worked but sadly not for me...

The packaging and fragrance are lovely and I did enjoy the consistency of the product. It was nice and smooth on my hair and made it feel soft and well conditioned. It just did not affect the thickness of my strands as promised.

I did enjoy trialling all the Elvive Fibralogy range and used them all consistently over the few weeks we were given. Sadly I can't recommend this as a thickening treatment for us poor souls blessed with naturally fine hair ;-)

I used this in conjunction with the shampoo, however unfortunately I didn't get any of the results I was promised.

While I loved the smell of this product (reminded me of salon products) I didn't really find the conditioner to be very "conditioning" and in fact found build up of the product to be a bit of a problem and my hair rather dry (well, dryer than usual).

I typically wash my hair about 2 times a week, but because of the build up I was washing it 3 times a week.

There was definitely no change in the thickness of my hair.

I was very appreciative of the chance to trial this product, but after using both the shampoo and conditioner for 3 weeks, I think I will go back to my old products.
