This is my favourite hair mask/treatment and has been for at least 6 months now. I was lucky enough to receive a decent sample size of this product in a GoodieBox and I was in love as soon as I opened it. I quickly purchased a stash of three more full sized masks as it really is that good.
The reason it was love at first site comes down to the consistency of the product. It is thick and creamy, which sets it apart from a lot of other masks and treatments which are runny and have either a shampoo or yoghurt consistency. Because of its thickness it stays on the hair when applied, unlike most other masks which end up down the drain in a matter of seconds. It smells fresh, like citrus and, well, a trip to the hairdresser.
My hair is unnaturally blonde, I blow dry and straighten it almost every day, and needless to say it is pretty dry and damaged. Not only does it leave my hair soft and silky with no residue, but I do feel like it is actually repairing my hair, unlike products such as coconut oil which simply coat the hair. The only downside to this product is that it is in a tub/pottle, which means it is a little more annoying in the shower. However this does mean that I can get every last drop of product out.
I use this mask at least once a week, usually when I am shaving my legs as this gives me a chance to leave it in my hair as long as possible. I wash my hair, get as much moisture out as possible, and then apply the mask beginning about an inch below my roots. My first full sized tub lasted about 4 months of using it once a week, so I do feel that it is value for money. This is a great mask with a great price.
I love L'oreal products for haircare products and this isn't an exception. I've been using this on and off for so many years after a recommendation from a hairdresser friend.
My hair over the years has been highlighted blonde continuously. I swap and change abit, sometimes platinum blonde, other times light blonde and medium blonde. With highlights however, comes dry and rather weak hair. I remember when I first brought this masque my hair was in desperate need of some moisture and hydration.
First of all, the packaging is stylish with its yellow tub, with silver top. I find most of my Loreal products look high end and look great sitting in my bathroom.
The fragrance is lovely and not overpowering, being slightly citrusy. It just smells yummy whilst on your hair.
The masque consistency is thick and its easy to scoop out of the tub to put on your hair after shampooing and conditioning. While waiting for the masque to do its magic I exfoliate all over my body and shave my legs. After 5 minutes I wash out the masque.
I really do notice a difference in my hair after using this masque. It really works to lock in moisture and hydrate my hair. Instead of dry, wiry hair my hair feels silky smooth. It's such a fantastic masque for dry hair and I feel it really does repair, like it says it does.
I tend to be abit of a haircare snob, buying salon products (kerastase, loreal and aveda) as with shampoos, conditioners and masques I really seem to notice a difference with the texture and condition of my hair. It's such a high quality product, that even after years of using it I'm still impressed.
I think this masque although a lot cheaper than Kerastase is just as good. Will continue to repurchase forever!
I would recommend this to anyone with coloured hair needing some tlc.
