Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Review

I really really want to love this. But for some reason I just can't. When it goes on it gives a little bit of coverage which I like on days when i'm not really doing anything, and it seems okay at the time but It's a little to drying for my liking- I have to apply a really good moisturizer before hand (And I don't have dry skin!). This is one of those products I don't absolutely love- but will continue to use on the days when I want to go basically makeup free and when I'm short on time.

I have had very mixed feelings about this product from the very start. I think my expectations were a bit too high for this product. I received the Garnier Normal Skin BB cream in Medium. In hindsight I should have gone for the Light shade as this one ended up being a bit too dark for me most of the time. I think the packaging is quite nice and the box has all the information that you would want to know on it which is good, as I hate it when you have a box that doesn't tell you anything useful about the product. I think the caramel brown colour of the tube is quite nice and think that the flat bottom is quite handy as it means you can stand it upright on your dresser. The consistency of the BB cream is thick and creamy and it wasn't running down the side of my hand when I went to apply it. When applying it I just applied it like my normal moisturizer, with my hands. As I was doing this as a trial I tried different ways of applying but would not recommend any of them. I tried applying with a duo fibre Real Techniques brush and a normal foundation but didn't like either of them very much and I still had to use my fingers to blend. I did try a buffer brush to blend but found it took off half the product. I also tried applying it with a beauty blender, which worked better than the brushes, but again had to use my fingers so hands it was for me. The coverage was a light to medium coverage and did well at covering my minor blemishes and redness. I did try applying twice for extra coverage, waiting in between for the first layer to dry, and that did work rather nicely instead of usingfoundation. The longevity wasn’t too good compared to another BB cream I have used, and the weather isn't even hot yet. I have found that as it dried it sometimes looked a bit orange on my skin and it would all be pretty much gone by the time I go to wipe it off with my makeup wipes at night. When applied under my matte foundation it made it look oily and also decreased the longevity of that product too even though it did give me a more flawless look. One of the things I was most disappointed with was that this product has made my skin oilier. I have combination/normal skin depending on the season. Some days it goes slightly oily or slightly dry. My skin hasn't felt as oily as it does now in about 4 years! I may need the one for oily skin now which is a bit annoying. Will have to go back to toning my face which again I haven’t had to do in years. If this BB cream had of been the perfect fit and I would have been using it every day then I think this probably would have lasted me about a month and a half. For $17.49 for a 50 ml package it is a good price but I would rather stick to my moisturizer and foundation combo as I get exactly the right colour for my skin, SPF protection and oil free skin. I will try this BB cream in this shade again in summer when my olive skin looks a bit darker. I’m not sure if I would recommend this product to anyone who has similar skin to me.

I really enjoyed this product. I found it great as it had a built in tint that helped with full coverage. I found it spread easy, had a great sent and good product consistency. I trialled it as both a foundation and as a base primer before I put foundation on (see tips for outcome).

I think you really need to know your skin colour as I could imagine without testing in store, it would be easy to get the wrong one. I got med which is my "normal" tone but had to be careful not to use too much as it would look really fake. I don't think it has as an amazing flawless look as it states in the add (a bit airbrushed) but still is a Great product for the price of it. I would buy this and recommend to friends.

This was my first trial with Beauty Review and I am so happy I got the opportunity to test this product! My skin is pretty “normal”, and I only really suffer with the odd breakout, usually on my chin. I chose the Medium shade which was a tiny bit too dark, but still much more suitable than the Light shade which was way too light. Having only 3 shades to choose from definitely makes choosing the right one for you much easier. The packaging is nice and simple and is small enough that you can keep it in your handbag if you need to touch up during the day.

I found the consistency to be almost mousse like; not too thick or thin, just right. It is extremely easy to apply just like the packaging said- just apply like you would with regular moisturizer. I just used my fingers. This product smells really nice (not what I expected) and it also gives a really nice coverage. I used the BB cream on days when I wasn’t wearing much makeup, and used it along with a little bit of concealer to hide any breakouts I had. This product does a fantastic job of making your skin look great with hardly any work involved.

Unfortunately during my trial period, I have been suffering with a cold so have spent most of my days blowing my nose which naturally caused the BB cream to be wiped off, so if you’re sick, this product won’t last long on your face! Other than that, I was really impressed with how long it lasted.

I am really happy with this product, my skin always looked great after using it and I will definitely be buying another when mine runs out and recommending it to my friends :)

I think that this product should be labelled a tinted moisturizer rather then a bb cream. Its nothing compared to other brands of bb cream that I have used. It has a thick sticky consistency and made me look really orange and made my face look worse then ever and also made me break out, i think this was due to the fact that it was so oily. The packaging is good and it has a nice smell however this product was not for me.

My first impression of the BB cream was great, the tube it comes in is pretty and it would appeal to me to pick up in a shop.

Of course the first thing I did when I opened it was try a small amount on the back of my hand and I was quite surprised at the texture being quite thick and was a bit concerned it would be quite heavy, but after rubbing it into my hand it just disappeared into a light, non-greasy finish.

I usually wear a medium coverage, buildable foundation to work Mon-Fri and then lighter on the weekends, Sunday's I allow my skin to breath and wear no makeup at all so I thought I'd give it a shot on Sunday in lieu of sunscreen. I opted for the 'light' version as I'm very pale being from Ireland.

I usually apply my makeup with a beauty blender but wanted to see what the texture was like so just applied it with my fingers, I loved that it was quite a creamy consistency and didn't run. The smell was also quite pleasant and it almost smelled a little bit like tea :-) I applied it over my usual routine of moisturiser and primer and it went on like a dream and instantly absorbed into my skin. I loved that it wasn't greasy and almost dried to a matte finish, I have 'normal' skin and it felt really nice on my face. I wasn't expecting any coverage which was good because I didn't get any, I did however get a more even complexion. My skin is in good condition, I don't often break out so I don't have a lot to hide other than evening out my skin and this is perfect for that. I finished off with some translucent powder and I was ready to go. I love the finish and the best part was that I didn't feel like I was wearing anything at all. It's so lightweight and looking in the mirror - my skin just looked like a better version of itself with no makeup on. Even my Husband commented that my skin looked really good not having known that I had anything on.

I would absolutely wear this again, in fact it will probably be my weekend go to and I imagine in summer it will be great to wear out so I'm looking forward to trying it then. I love that it has UV protection.

The only thing I didn't like is the coverage - I don't know that it would actually correct blemishes, I don't have any at the moment to try it on but it's so light that I have my doubts.

All in all I think it's great, especially for those of us that wear heavier makeup during the week - it's a refreshing change to have something on that makes me feel not so 'naked'

I have been using this product for quite a few years, before it became popular. It is by far the best light / natural foundation I have ever used. It covers my flaws without going overboard. I use every single day & my face feels likeI have no makeup on at all. When our family has had special occasions, I have been able to use on several skin types & a variety of ages & the ladies have looked flawlessly beautiful without looking over the top. Totally recommend

Garnier's miracle skin perfector BB cream is my holy grail. Due to its tint i replaced my foundation with this product as i prefer a more natural and light coverage for everyday use. If you like a dewy glow and the feeling of a natural coverage then i highly reccomend this product. I found aplication of this product very simple, it blends into my skin very well despite the light being a bit too dark for my skin. The only bad thing i have to say is ive had more pimples pop up since using it but that could just be because of my oily skin type over my T-zone.

This is such a lovely and light BB cream. This had been on sale so I thought why the hell not? I had tried this in medium during the summer when my face was probably half a shade darker and medium had been too dark for me but light had been to light. Now that my face has gotten paler, light is perfect. It's not very opaque which helps the color match me better. On the other hand, although this can cover some very minor blemishes and cancel out a little of the redness it's not full coverage. When my acne gets really bad and goes all red and bumpy I still have to wear concealer. So I prefer to use this when my face is pretty cooperative and I want to look light and natural. When I'm wearing this it feels very 'breathable' and not overbearing. Another plus is my sensitive skin seems to have accepted this without throwing a fuss.

The colour isn't light enough to match my skintone, I have to blend really well to prevent it from looking too orange. This defeats the point of BB creams- ease. If your skin is very light you might want to avoid this product.

Still, it's easier to apply than foundation. It feels better on my skin than foundation. The coverage is decent for a BB cream.

I won't repurchase because I would prefer a lighter colour and there isn't one, but if your skin isn't very light this is a decent product and I would recommend trying it.
