Dove Body Lotion Silk Review

I don't know when it changed but the scent of this seems to have gotten stronger. Back in the day it seemed more subtle.

Still, it's a hydrating and softening lotion in a convenient pottle format. The packaging is characteristically Dove - simple but classy.

The scent - which as I mentioned is strong - is reminiscent of their 'soap' bars - it smells clean, somehow.

The lotion is midway between a liquid lotion and a butter - easy to scoop, splat on and smooth in. It absorbs reasonably readily and leaves a small amount of residue, which absorbs more slowly. Because of this I don't use it if I'm getting dressed immediately.

I probably won't buy it again even though I've bought it often in the past - I think when it was first launched it was unique and special, but now there are better options.

Thanks for a great product at an affordable price. I've spent a fortune in the past on creams and lotions looking for a product to help overcome my dry skin and alot of the products haven’t delivered everything that they promise until now.

I have never found any moisturiser that comes even close to the relief I experience every time I use Body Silk.. I love the fact that I don’t have to use a lot for the results I want because a little of it goes a long way.

I can recommend this product to people who want something that makes them feel fresh and smooth every time they use it . I like the Warm/Rich scent it has aswell, very velvty and warm.

Absolutely love this moisturiser! It's a necessity for me during the winter months. It always moisturises my dry skin instantly, as well as making me feel refreshed and my skin feel soft. It's one of my favourite moisturisers to use after a shower. I find it takes a while to dry and I always have to give it at least a few minutes.

I love the fact that it comes in a tub. It's not the best for travelling, but it means you don't waste any product, as you can easily get it all out of the tub!

I purchased this from my local supermarket for a reasonable $10.00. It is a large pot so will last a long time. The packaging is nice, but I prefer using a pump bottle. The fragrance is quite floral and distinctive. The formula is thick and creamy and sinks into my skin well after a bit of rubbing in. My skin was left smooth and hydrated, and I would recommend this lotion as a price-effective product. The tub is not very good for travelling, though.

This is one of those items that you wonder why you stopped repurchasing, It used to be a must have on my bathroom bench top until a few months ago I stopped purchasing this.

I had been using the Dove body lotion silk cream for just over a year, the price ranges from $10-13 so I would purchase this when it was on special. I like to use this on my hands and my legs. I found using this after I shaved my legs gave me a burning sensation so I tried to wait as long as I could before putting Dove on my shaved legs.

The formula is thick, it is heavy like a body butter and has a light floral scent, it is Doves signature scent that is easily recognized on everyone who uses this.

It is great value for money and you only need a small amount, it leaves my skin feeling moisturized and smooth for hours on end.

Be careful if you have sensitive skin, my son has sensitive skin and I cant put this on him, it gives him a bad rash.

Dove has a variety of skincare products from deodorants through to body creams. Dove has a distinct fresh scent. I was given this pot in a Dove gift pack from my sister. I am a fan of dove because I enjoy their products. In my gift pack I got this cream, a shower gel and shower puff.

This pottle is about 200 mls. Its coloured in a creamy white pot with the Dove logo on it. At the back of this jar is the instructions of how to use it. This pot is easy to open and close. When I open this pot I immediately smell this Creamy Dove scent. This cream is super thick. It reminds me of a body butter but it's not.

I normally apply this cream to my skin after a shower. This cream soaks into my skin nicely. I use it daily. I find that I don't need much to cover my body. My results from using it was hydrated skin. My skin felt smoother. I think it's priced affordably. One lasted me a little over a month. A great body moisturiser. I'm not sure if these are still available as I have been looking for them for a while now.

A reasonable size plastic white jar with a screw top lid, and sealed under a bit off foil is a velvety soft thick cream. Fragrance is a powder floral typical of Doves scent, it's not too overbearing and it does fade down, and just fades into nothingness. I think it smells feminine and soft. I've found this cream absorbs quite quickly not much left in the way of residue I found it stays a little tacky for a few minutes, but then it's good to go. I get no irritation from this and it does leave my skin feeling soft but I do end up putting quite a bit on to get the moisturising effects. After full on day at work a hot shower and rubbing this on and dressed I'm actually good to go I find it soft and refreshing. I do hate sticking my fingers into creams as I don't think it's hygienic and I hate it up my nails. I think it's quite reasonable money wise.

I love Dove products and think Dove Body Lotion Silk is good value for money. A little bit of luxury in a tub.

Although I am not a huge fan of the tub - at least you can get every last drop of this beautiful mosituriser. Would love to see this in a pump bottle.

The moisturiser is non greasy and easy to apply from the tub. The mosituriser on your skin is soft and light and absorbs quickly. I have normal skin so a little goes a long way.

My skin feels amazing after I have used. I like to use after my shower in the morning and my skin feels soft and silky all day.
