Elf stipple brush

I bought this brush from Iherb and have used it everyday ever since! Awesome for blush does not pick up too much product and blends well. Bristles are very soft and have had no shedding that I am aware of. Such a good price for a quality brush.

ELF Stipple Brush

I first bought this brush of IHerb for $3USD back when I was still becoming familiar to make up. For the price, it is such a good buy. I use it for my powders and for blending out my blush. It picks it up easily and disperses the product evenly. The bristles are super soft and it feels so nice on my skin. I haven't had any of the bristles fall out on me, even when I clean it. This brush definitely exceeded my expectations and for the price there is no reason why I wouldn't purchase it again

An OK brush

This brush was great after first use, then once I washed it it was over. It shed little by little, maybe ELF's brush shampoo doesn't gel well with a brush made from the same company? I have no idea. I liked this brush though, because it was just the right size for my face to stipple on liquid foundation and powder foundation, however the turn off was the shedding of bristles :( ugh* if the shedding didn't occur, I would totally love this brush as it applied my foundation evenly.

Tips: Just watch what you wash this brush with? Possibly a olive oil + baby shampoo combo would be better for the bristles? Not sure.

elf Stipple Brush

I brought my elf stipple brush off iherb for $3, was such a great buy I couldnt pass it up. I use this as one of my foundation brushes (as Im lazy and cant be bothered cleaning my brushes everytime, so I have multiple) it works just as well as my other higher end brushes, doesnt clump and the bristles havnt fallen out all of a sudden which is great. This could also be used as a buffing brush if desired as well. Good sized brush as well, which is handy in any kit.

I use for my foundation

I use this for applying my foundation and haven't had any issues with it. It's probably best to note that prior to this my experience with using any but a wet sponge with moisture mist or my fingers was null. I moisturise and prime my skin then apply a bit of foundation with my fingers and buff it in, using a blotting action rather than a painting action. I've found its been great for what I use it for and I don't have any lines or anything showing as it blends quite well. I paid $3usd from iherb for it and have no complaints. I've also cleaned it and it hasn't shed any bristles and feels as amazing as when I first brought it.

Tips: Apply foundation with fingertips first then work into your skin using a blotting action to eliminate the streaky look. When washing keep the bristles down at all times to stop water going up the barrel. This will reduce the chance of the bristles loosening and falling out.

E.L.F STIPPLING BRUSH

Most stippling brushes can be more on the pricey side , luckily for us the E.L.F has an affordable one for any girl in any price range.

This brush is multi purpose you can use it for your liquid foundation or your powder blush. I have a few and I use it for all sorts of products.

I love using it with a light to medium coverage foundation as it gives it a nice air brush motion.

This brush is great for extremely pigmented blushes as it won't pick up too much excess product.

Tips: If you're just starting with makeup and don't know what type of brushes to get, a stippling brush is multi purpose.

Cheap but not that practical

Another iherb order, another random product popped into my cart. I love brushes and when I saw this at $3 it was so easy to just pop it in with the rest of my goodies. One of my favourite brushes is a stippling brush (a MAC one) so I thought I couldn't fail with picking this up.

The brush itself has quite a long thicker light handle in matte black. On that the name of the brush is written in white. The metal ferrule is also shiny black and the hairs are black also with the white tips. The hairs are extremely soft. Because all the hairs are quite long they are very soft.

Personally I haven't actually found to many uses for it. I did find it great with a creamy blush as it creates a really diffused natural look. Also great for smoothing and blending out blush if you have applied too much. Because the hairs are quite flimsy is isn't great for moving around foundation. Also it is too big for me to do contour. And it doesn't pick up enough pigment for me to powder my face. I haven't had any problems with this shedding at all.

If you use cream blush regularly you might enjoy this brush, but I didn't find that many uses for it. But for the price it isn't that much concern.

I'm still waiting on purchasing a cream blush so haven't yet tried it for that, but like you, I've found no other use for it. I'm so confused about how it works for some people with applying foundation!

I feel the same way as you, I got this last year but hated it for foundation. Just recently I've been using it for cream blush. I can't figure out any other use for it though

Great with Foundation

I bought this brush as I had been looking for a stipple brush and I love the E.L.F brand.

I really like this brush for applying liquid foundation. But that being said, I wear liquid foundation lightly under powder foundation. For this combination this brush works really well.

For heavier foundation or for wearing liquid foundation alone it could look slightly streaky and a beauty blender may be a better option. But if you are wearing powder over top, brushing that on with a kabuki brush or something of the sorts seems to help further blend the liquid foundation underneath.

The brush is soft and quite fine. I have not found the bristles to come out at all yet (I have owned it for almost a year). I find it washes easily and goes back into shape well.

I am totally happy with this brush and it exceeded my expectations. I would definitely purchase again.

Tips: Great for applying light liquid foundation. To avoid any noticeable streaks, use a powder foundation over top.

New Favourite

I love this brush!

I bought this as a cart filler on iHerb, and I actually thought I'd use it for foundation but as soon as I got it I knew it wasn't the right brush for that. So, I went to my second option - highlighter.

Because I apply highlighter quite heavily I love this brush because it does exactly what I want from it.

If you stipple it onto your skin, it gives more product off than when you stroke it over your skin. A+++ for whoever came up with that concept!!!

The brush itself is quite light, and the bristles seem a bit on the weaker side, but for $3 you can't go wrong with buying this.

It's my new favourite brush (I actually love that it's so lightweight!) and I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a brush specifically for highlighting.

Too Small For Foundation, Perfect For Cream Blush

I don't use this for my foundation because of how tiny it is. It could definitely do a wonderful job, but it would take far too long. For cream blush, highlighter, bronzer..? Absolutely perfect. It gives such a natural, almost air brushed look to the skin and it's so easy to blend anything and everything. I love it and if they come out with a bigger version, I will gladly buy it for my foundation.

It's super soft and fluffy and doesn't pick up too much or too little product. It's perfect for getting under the cheekbones, on the cheekbones, on TOP of the cheekbones and just anywhere you might need to highlight, contour or apply blush. I think I paid $10 for mine and KMart and I think that's crazy affordable and anyone can benefit from having a brush like this in their collection.
