Revitanail by Manicare Nail Strengthener Review

I was so excited to be chosen to review this product as my nails are usually so weak, they always flake and peel or break easily and I don't get to have a lot of length in them. I have tried another nail strengthener before and it didn't seem to make any difference to my nails. The Revitanail Nail Strengthener however made a huge difference for me. It was easy to apply and uncomplicated. It doesn't smell bad and dries very quickly so it was easy to just apply it before bedtime and before using the cuticle oil, as I normally would apply a hand and nail cream or oil then anyway. I noticed an improved appearance just from applying the product so that was nice as I had just removed gel polish and even though I had it soaked off it had peeled back some of the top layer of my nail. It is a clear polish that say it is a "salon strength 28 day intensive treatment program to repair soft, weak and damaged nails." You apply two coats the first day and then one coat once a day for 5 days. After 7 days you remove it using nail polish remover and then repeat the process 3 times before taking a rest. I noticed by about day 5 the coats were starting to yellow and chip and looked a bit yuck so it was a good thing I was to take it off on day 7. I didn't have any breaks or peels in my nails for the first 10 days which is unheard of for me. I already had a decent length only from having had gel polish on prior to using this and this was maintained well by the Revitanail Strengthener. The second round I did have a few breaks and snags but my nails have not been peeling as they usually would. They feel stronger, not as weak and bendy and they look healthy and smooth. I am really happy with this product, it works for me and I will continue to use it and recommend it to others. After using it for a month I can hardly tell I have used any from the bottle so it will last a long time and is great value for money.

My nails have always been weak and over the past few years graduated to flaky, so I was very happy to be part of this trial.

The Nail Strengthener is a thick cloudy polish which glides on very well and dries quickly. It doesn't small much compared to normal polish. I like that it has 2 small balls in the bottle to help mix it up if you ever need to. After a month of use I've barely made a dent in the amount of product too!

I have been using the strengthener for 4 weeks now and I am very happy with the results. My nails are stronger (to different degrees which was strange). After 3 weeks I thought most of the cracking had gone away, but unfortunately this past week it has happened again on 3 of my nails, but to nowhere near the extent it used to. The biggest difference for me is my ability to shape my nails now. Rather than just having to tidy up breakages I can cut/shape them how I like. I have also tried normal polish over the strengthener and the polish lasted so much longer!!

I'm a bit skeptical still of whether my nails are this strong on their own, rather than just with layers of strengthener on them. But to be honest, I'm not too worried about that, as this is a product I'll happily keep using as a normal everyday wear.

I have weak dry nails and I haven’t been able to find a solution for it, so I was very excited to be chosen to be part of this trial team. I followed the instructions and completed my 4 week nail challenge. I applied one layer of the Revitanail Nail Strengthener everyday.

I applied Revitanail Nail Strengthener onto my nails as if it were nail polish. It just looked like clear nail polish once it dried and it kind of looked like I got a manicure as well. The Nail Strengthener was light and dried very quickly. As the instructions I applied it on every day and removed it at the end of end week, then started the same process again. The thing I didn’t like about it was that parts of it would come off in the shower. My nails did start breaking towards the end of the 4 week challenge, but that’s still longer than usual.

I believe this is a great product for weak nails and would recommend it to give it a go.

Someone once told me that nails should be "jewels not tools". Sadly, mine get treated as tools and it shows. They've not been great since having acrylics years ago. They're very bendy, ridged, break easily and my cuticles look dry and ragged. So I quickly put my sad and sorry hands up for this trial.

I liked the ease of use of this product. You apply two coats of what looks and smells like a thin, almost clear nail polish. It dries really quickly - the first coat is already dried by the time you get to the second coat. It instantly makes your nails look better by giving them a nice shine. You then apply another coat each day for a week, then remove all the hardener then start again. I did find after a few days my nails started to look grubby from all the coats as the hardener is not completely clear.

The results during the first two weeks of using this were great as I didn't have any breakages at all! Sadly my nails began to snag and break in the following two weeks. By the end of the four week trial, my nails looked worse than before I started. The three nails that didn't break during this trial did feel stronger when the hardener was on. Once it was removed they felt bendy again, so I think it was the layers that was strengthening them rather than the nails actually being harder.

On the plus side, I used hardly any product during the 4 weeks so a bottle could easily last a year. I seems to work well for other reviewers so I will give it another go after the suggested two week break from application. Hopefully I'll have better results with prolonged use.

My nails have been so brittle lately; peeling, splitting, breaking...you name it, it's been happening. I was so excited to receive the Revitanail Nail Strengthener in the mail and see if it actually lived up to its claims. I have been wary of using nail strengtheners as I heard it can actually make your nails more prone to break as they become too hard. I think the combination of the Nail Strengthener and the Nourishing Oil has meant that my nails haven't become too hard during this trial. My nails do not feel as weak to the touch since using this product and I haven't had any peeling from the second week onwards. My nails have been able to grow longer as they haven't broken or split. I'm very happy with this product overall!

After four weeks of using this product i can safely say it works!

On the first application onto clean dry nails i swear i felt my nails hardening or as i called it squishing together with the first coat. It dried extremely quickly as did the second coat leaving a nice glossy look which always makes your nails look great ;)

The first week was touch and go due to a chlorinated concrete pool which destroyed all efforts. But surprising my nails were not tearing as much as they used too, same with subsequent weeks and applications.

I only noticed that the ends if my nails had layers falling off as opposed to the tear of the nail Completely.

But i know after my two week break that the next round of “treatment” will be even better

The nail strengthener comes packaged in a cute red and black box. It has very simple, clear instructions. 2 coats on the first day then 1 coat for the next 5 days, remove on day 7 then repeat. Easy!

My nails had been very brittle and breaking so easily lately so I was very keen to try this out to see if it would help at all.

It has a great wide brush which makes applying a breeze. It goes on like clear nail polish and dries super quick which I love! It makes your nails look beautiful and shiny.

After week 2-3 I noticed how strong my nails had become. No breakages at all! Woohoo. I loved using this and had fantastic results and ended up with great looking strong nails. A big thumbs up from me.

This has quite a strong nail polish smell.

You get a lot of product for price! A little goes a long way and it’s super easy to apply (just like a regular nail polish)

I noticed that the strength in my nails improved. They didn’t break or tear quite as often and they felt a little firmer when I bent them.

I would use this again just to keep up the condition of my nails

I was keen to try this product as my nails are brittle and split easily. I'd love to have long and strong nails but they never seem to grow further than the tips of my fingers before breaking/splitting. This product is so easy to use, it goes on like nail polish and dries quickly. I love how it makes my nails shiny like they've just been manicured. After four weeks of the trial I'm amazed at how long and strong my nails are! I love them! Looking at the photos I took at the beginning of the trial and the ones I took after four weeks, there's a definite difference in the length, appearance and strength of my nails. I love the results this product has produced and will gladly buy it again, and recommend to my family and friends.

Thank you beauty review for allowing me to trial these products. I have always had dry flaky cuticles and my nails are always brittle and weak they break went once they get to a certain length so this was a great product for me to trial full stop

The packaging is nothing fancy but I liked the brush as I felt it was slightly bigger than a normal nail polish brush. The consistency is them and the colour is like an off white?

The directions are apply two coats on to clean nails then one coat daily for the next 5 days. On the seventh day remove the nail polish from your nails and repeat the process three more times. Allow your nails to rest for one to two weeks in between. Simple clear easy to follow instructions.

My nails are now at the length where they would normally start breaking but so far so good. I feel that the nail Strengthener and her has definitely worked but the only thing I don't like about it is that after a few applications the nail strengthener starts to chip off and your nails can look quite dirty looking due to the colour of the nail Strengthener.

All-in-all I do feel this is a really good product and I definitely will continue to use it and recommend it to people who have brittle nails.
