Bit disappointed really. I love lip stains as they are so easy and last for several hours. Not this one though.
Pros: -Moisturising for dry lips - I have very dry lips -Sheer colour for more casual look - Amazing colour selection
Cons: -Lasts about half an hour! -Colour is not buildable. -Ends up making a weird line of colour outside your lips.
There are matte and gloss versions of the stains. Perhaps I need to try the matte version, as the glossier ones just don't have decent staying power.
Tips: Might need a lip liner
I love these. They are my go to. Being in a pen form makes them really easy to apply. The colour lasts surprisingly well and I like the minty smell!
I love Revlon's balm stain range - they're so easy to apply, feel wonderful on your lips, and give a light pop of colour that can be layered to gain a bolder look if desired.
For such a moisture rich lip product they have pretty good staying power, especially if given 15 minutes to settle on your lips before any food or drink, but do be prepared to reapply fairly regularly if you're after a constant colour.
This is one of the best colours for the most precious lips and the major standout of your face. Beautiful colours and I use them almost everyday and it stays on for ever. Very smooth to apply and gives very fresh feeling and moist lips.
Tips: Use the lip liner to get the perfect filling shape
My lips almost constantly feel dry. Yes, I am one of those gals that is always applying balm/paw paw/vaseline/bees-wax based products etc etc. For the first time EVER I have finally found a lip colour which I do not need to wear balm underneath!
I love the glossy bright shades these Revlon stains have. It really does feel comfortable to wear them, and I don't feel self-conscious about how dry my lips look. The colour may only last a few hours, but I really don't mind reapplying.
The matte variety of these stains are the only product that don't work for me. As I already have dry lips, the matte variety seeps into the fine lines of my lips and doesn't give good coverage. Otherwise, I am a devoted fan of this product!
Tips: No need for lip balm underneath!
Loooooooooovvvvvvvvveeeee it! And I want them all, they are so amazing. What is better than a lip balm that acts as a lip stain but keeps the lips hydrated? Nothing. It's an awesome product

This is a great go to balm when you need a bit of extra colour. I have a matte colour but it is still pretty moisturising. These balms have amazing colour payoff and pigmentation. However they dont last very long on the lips and I find myself having to constantly reapply. Overall a nice easy to use product, but I wouldn't rely on it for any more than simple day to day use.
Tips: Use a lipliner if you dont want it to bleed or rub off super quickly
absolutely adored this product. I have the the dark pink one and i used it regularly and it never failed to give me the "lip stain" look. Only thing is, after a while it would get greasy on the lips.
I have two shades of the Balm Stains: Lovesick and Romantic. Lovesick is a nice wearable pink shade and Romantic is an orangey-red. I really like them both.
These balm stains are not as pigmented and has a glossy finish but it's good for every day casual makeup look. They're pigmented enough but they're not as long lasting as compared to the Revlon matte balms.
What I like most about the balm stains are the minty scent. It feels good on the lips and it's not drying.
These definitely do stain/tint your lips and I love that. They are fantastic under another lipstick or alone. They don't feel drying on my lips and they have some pretty colours. They are very moisturizing and very creamy.
Tips: You can use it under lipstick.
