Favourite!

This is my all time favourite favourite drug store brand.

It's so moisturising, creamy and the colour pay off is fantastic. It's long wearing and so pigmented I get excited when I add one of these to my lipstick collection. There is a huge colour range so you will definitely find something that you will suit or love to try it. Highly Highly recommend

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick

I have this in 435 - Plum Perfect. So far i am enjoying this lipstick i find that is the perfect lip colour for me for winter and am enjoying the creamy texture of it. It is an amazingly pigmented lipstick. I have found that its lasts on me for about 2 hours before it fades and stains my lips.

Champagne Shimmer and Toffee Tango

I love the colour of these lipsticks. They are so creamy and smooth to put on, and the colour result is gorgeous. I purchased the Champagne Shimmer to wear as a very pale nude lipstick for an event I was attending. I found it didn't quite cover my lips as I was hoping, but by putting a thin layer of foundation over my lips before applying the lipstick, I got a lovely nude lip look that really made my eyes stand out. Even without the foundation, I still love the sparkly look that this lipstick gives me. The Toffee Tango I have not yet had chance to wear out but have tried it on at home. It makes my lips look a little darker with a brown tone as opposed to their natural dark pink, and I can't wait for the chance to wear it out. This lipstick does need reapplying after a few hours, but is so easy to use that it is not a difficult task to do. There are so many shades available in this range that anyone should be able to find the colour perfect for them, and if you can pick them up on special, definitely cheap enough to try something different to your norm!

In Loooove!!

I had never tried any maybelline lipsticks before the latest Farmers promotion where these lipsticks are buy one get one free...where I bought several eeeek. I have to say I am completely hooked!! The packaging is super classy and well put together. They are super pigmented and really really creamy. My favourite ones so far are from the bold matt color sensational collection, very long wearing and not drying at all. They come in a HUGE range of colours which is amazing, ive found loads of drug store brands that any carry a very small range of colours which is frustrating especially when you fall in love with a particular range, so these leave me with plenty of colour choice. I will definitely be adding more of these to my collection!

Tips: Check out the Bold matte collection esp mat#7, perfect one better than your natural lips shade.

Juicy Bubblegum

Cute packaging: pink, holographic, classic tube. Product: a little rigid (kind of like using a crayon) but that could be to do with the change in temperature heading into winter. Once on, it melts into my lips and feels buttery/silky. The pigmentation is strong, yet not over stated, shine is satin to semi high gloss (I will say it... it shimmers). It does have a slight tacky stickiness to it but not long lasting. Staying power is low, I found myself re-applying about every two hours or so. Scent is not overpowering (slight citrus notes) and it hasn't got a odd flavour to it either (wouldn't it be great if they tasted/smelt the way they name some of them).

I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone with this shade... Bubblegum pink is a bright baby pink... exactly like an old fashioned stick of bubblegum. It isn't a colour I would personally have picked out for myself but it is growing on me... just not for everyday wear; but has me looking at other shades to find one that I could wear daily.

My daughter loves the shade... . on HER :)

Tips: Check against your own skin tone before you purchase... looks really nice on a paler skin tone

155 Party Pink

I'm not really impressed with the shade, its name is Party Pink but I find it more suitable with day time events as the tone is more purple than pink Pros: - It's matte and smooth. - the shade is suitable with different occasions. - The scent is really cute (some find it like bubble gum but I can say it's not that strong. It's sweet and cute)

Con: -It does not stay really long, I try applying some powder between two layers but that does not really help much - The shade may not suit darker skin

What a shock!

My colour was Petal Rebel and it was a bit of a shock when I opened the packet. Certainly not a colour I would have picked off the shelf. Here was this vivid bright pink colour looking back at me. Never the less I tried it and was surprised by the effect. Once on the colour was actually quite subtle. I felt comfortable wearing the colour in public. Normally my lips peel when I wear lipstick, but this has not happened. It's creamy and goes on easily. Whilst it looks quite bold in the tube, it's nothing like that once on. To maintain the colour I need to keep applying this through out the day, otherwise you wouldn't know that i actually had it on.

Tips: Step outside your comfort zone and try the bold looking lipsticks, they may not be quite what you thought once you have them on.

Captivating Coral gloss

I was lucky enough to be able to try out this product for BR and I was excited and also nervous about which colour I would get!

I received a bright orange lipgloss, on first glance the colour looks very bright in the tube and I also like the sleek squared design of the tube. It has a silver lid and no big ugly writing all over it so I think it's quite sophisticated really. The colour that goes on your lips is quite rich and true to what colour you see inside the tube. It has an easy to use soft tip applicator, I found it great to apply and it didn't run outside the edges of my lips. It smells quite sweet, it actually sort of reminds me of kids antibiotics, not in a bad way though. The formula is not super glossy but it is not sticky feeling at all and it lasts for a decent amount of time. I experimented with eating and drinking while wearing it and while it does come off a bit (I think most glosses and lipsticks do anyway!) it seems to fade evenly and takes quite a bit of drinking or eating to make it completely come off.

Final thoughts? After trialling this, it has made me want to use some more of their products and maybe even go a bit crazy with my colours! This is definitely not a colour I would have picked up in a store if I had bought it (I'm a nude and light pink girl), but trying it out has made me want to try more brighter glosses now and I like how this is non sticky and decent lasting.

Tips: This is really easy to use, maybe because the colour is quite rich applying in front of a mirror would be a good idea. It would probably also be really pretty over a nude lipstick, or even a brighter one just to give a different effect.

Love love love!

Lasts so long and is so highly coloured! I have this in coral and fuchsia and they are my new favourite go to colours,

Tips: Concealing your lips first makes for a matte blank canvas and makes the colour pop more!

Reliable lippy at a reasonable price

Always on the lookout for a great red lipstick, I bought Red Revival a few months back on a whim. I am pleased that I did because I have found a sweet, hot, true red lip colour. The formulation glides on easily straight from the stick or with a brush. It has a nice texture on the lips, moist without feeling greasy or heavy. The colour has good depth and a nice satin finish. Staying power is average, expect to reapply and beware that it will 'feather' into the lines around the mouth if given a chance. So far, so good. I would have given this lipstick a higher score except for a couple of things; the fragrance is decidedly naff but fortunately doesn't hang around or impart a flavour taint to food and drink, also the plastic packaging which starts off looking quite sleek and smart has become decidedly scuffed and tatty in my makeup purse.

Tips: Use a lip liner or brush to help prevent this lipstick bleeding into the fine line around your mouth.
