I bought this lip pencil at Farmers when I was looking for a Designer Brand lip pencil in a red, but couldn't find one.
It's a nice thin pencil which I like.
It says it is a soft, easy glide lip pencil for simple precise application and that is true. It also claims to be long-lasting, and smudge-free, and meets this claim. I find it comes off quite thickly on anything I put near my lips though, even though I apply it carefully.
I love the shade (Lady in Red).
I would recommend it to a friend, as I think it's quite good. For $14.00 it is reasonably economical so is probably a good choice for the budget conscious. Personally I'd prefer to stick to another brand though, as my usual brand is a bit more waxy but doesn't come off as easily.
I own this liner in two shades: lady in red which is a true red and nudie rudie which is a light nude.
I bought these because I was looking for a liner to use with my Australis Velourlips (NY-Cee and Paree) because the formula was unforgiving on my wonky application skills and I wanted to get a better line.
For this purpose they worked perfectly. They are remarkably (or perhaps not seeing as they are within the same brand) good matches for each other. Just as I intended, getting a beautiful smooth line with the liner first gives me a bit of grace with the matte lipcolour application.
The formulation is gorgeously soft and goes on smooth. My pet hate with eye/lip pencils is a draggy, hard pencil that leaves that bumpy look but these pencils are so soft there's none of that.
I don't find that the nude Paree needs quite as much reigning in as the red NY-Cee but for the latter I definitely need the liner because the intense red is unforgiving of any mistakes. The liner keeps the lippy right where it should be.
Tips: I actually prefer these when they are blunter as I prefer a thicker line so I don't sharpen all the way to a tip when I sharpen.
