I set out to find a nude lip liner, one that was able to last without drying and that would help my lipstick colours from going wayward on me. I was initially after a cheaper lip liner and had a budget to keep within, but I was apparently easily swayed when none of the cheaper brands ticked all the boxes (well none in stock that day).
I had a very helpful assistant help me with swatches and basically chose Ballet Blush based on color alone. She showed me a few key features... One being that it is retractable (yay no need to carry a sharpener) but the showed me a built in sharpener under the rubber blender (eraser? I forgot what the rubber paddle was for) for crisper lines.
I was a bit put off by the price but also determined to get a neutral toned liner to stop my purple lippy turning pink. It didn't help as much as I had hoped to be fair but enough to help me feel that it was wearable.
Ballet Blush is a pale peach brown (an ever so slightly darker nude for my lips), the formula is soft yet dry (not drying) and very matte.
There is no scent or flavour which to me is a huge plus. It has great staying power but I still found after a few coffees or lunch it was looking a bit patchy (of course this is mostly due to it's lipstick pairing). It is easily removed with most makeup removers.
