Jeffree Star Liquid Lipsticks Review

My go to liquid lipstick!

Have 4 already and don't see myself stopping. It has a beautiful smooth colour, stays on all night and doesn't crack.

Ive been a fan of jefree stars since i was literally 12 years old, so when i found out he was releasing his own cosmetics line i was extremely excited!! I purchased all of mine from beauty bliss who have a great selection and amazing service.

I have 3 shades; Im Royalty , Unicorn Blood and weirdo. Im royalty is a beautiful blue toned purple that is very vibrant. Unicorn Blood is a deep brownish red its a very vampy/sexy colour. Weirdo is a gorgeous pigmented true black shade.

The packaging of this product is amazing! The lipstick comes in a bright pink box with stars on it. Inside is the tube which is a lot thicker than your normal liquid lipstick. The tube is clear so you can see the colour of the product inside and the top is bright pink with stars on it. I especially love the rose gold writing and patterns. They have a doe foot applicator which is very flexible. Making it even easier to apply .

Every shade i have is extremely pigmented,bold and vibrant. For a liquid to matte lipstick these arent as drying as some others ive tried and using a lip balm beforehand they are totally fine. These last amazing well through out the day even through eating or drinking. I've worn one for around 8 hours with no extra applications. The only time it started to wear off was after eating really greasy food. The worst thing i found with other liquid lipsticks ie. Lime Crime is that if it wore off re applying was not an option as the product would start to flake and crack and it was not buildable at all. Thankfully these lipsticks do not have that issue at all! they are easily buildable and never crack/flake.

Jefrees products are all vegan and cruelty free which is an added bonus especially for vegans :) There are so many other beautiful shades ranging from nudes to pink, reds and all the way up to black. I adore these lipsticks and plan on purchasing more in the future. I highly recommend these and i would say they are definitely worth the money

Unfortunately this got stolen, but while I had it I loved it. It did transfer more than I thought it would but I'm unsure if this may be due to the colour? I had the shade Redrum, the perfect red shade omg

I have forever been obsessed with the look of Jeffree Stars makeup. I purchased his eyeshadow palettes before I tried his lipsticks.

I had a few on my wish list but the first shades I did get were 'You. Better. Work.', 'Family Jewels', 'venus Flytrap' and 'Flamboyant'. Four shades form his 2017 summer collection. These 4 shades were so inconsistent in their formulas which lead me to the lower rating. I know that with brighter shades they can be a little streaky and a need a little work to apply but I could never apply 'Venus Flytrap' successfully without it looking dreadful, obviously streaky and patchy and this one was drying for my lips. I even prepped with his sugar scrubs before hand for maximum effort. This shade unfortunately doesn't make a great lippy but works great as a eyeliner!

Two of the other shades were similar in consistency, streaky and a little drying (You. Better. Work and Flamboyant) however Family Jewels not so much. This shade went on beautifully and I had no issues with it at all! It lasted for so long on the lip but I did find a little drying but not as much as the other shades.

This did not stop me from buying more. I thought that maybe the more normal everyday shades would be a little bit different and wouldn't require extra work to apply them.

I purchased the shades 'Androgyny', 'Posh spice', 'Leo', and 'Gemini'. These shades? I loveeeeeee. So easy to apply, lasted well on the lip, and didn't dry my lip out.

I wish the consistency of his liquid lips were all the same but I found they weren't.

Seriously, I cannot recommend these lipsticks highly enough!! I recently became the proud owner of 'Androgyny' and 'Masochist', and lemme tell ya, they are worth every cent I paid for them. These lipsticks go on as a gloss and dry matte, and once they are dry, you are hard pressed to get them off! As long as you avoid oily foods, they should last pretty much a full day, though a touch up may be required if you have eaten or been talking a lot! That being said, I wore mine through two meals and no touch up was needed. Highly recommend!

Love love love Jeffree star liquid lip sticks, the shades are out of this world with amazing names and super cool packaging. The wand is perfect size and the product lasts all day. Generous amount of product which will last and last. The lipsticks are on the higher price side but in my opinion it’s worth the money.

I currently have 3 shades in my possession.

Hoe Hoe Hoe is a moussey red, between the shades Unicorn Blood and Redrum, and has a shimmer in it which is gorgeous. It was a limited edition release for the holiday season. I find if I have to reapply it goes cakey and weird, and that's because of the glitter in it. It lasts a really long time though, and it fades nicely too.

Doll Parts, which is a pink, but a cool toned pink? It's formula is thicker than that of Hoe Hoe Hoe and I really like it. It was also a limited edition release for the holidays but I feel like it's coming back. When I first wore it, I couldn't actually see it on my lips, but I know it's there. I find this lasts a long time and it doesn't fade too much or give me butthole lips(fades) . If I have to reapply it does so nicely, too.

Scorpio - This is the wateriest lipstick I have from JS and I'm not impressed, which is a shame because I really like the color. It's a purple toned grey, on me, and my nana calls it my witch lipstick. It smells like cat pee and turns into butthole lips after about an hour. His CS team told me to subscribe to his YT channel for tips on how to wear it when I complained. No joke.

I really like these lipsticks. For the most part they last a decent few hours on me, and I don't have to reapply. I'd probably buy more, but he would have to make a shade that I actually liked, as his last ones have just been awful, in my opinion. And if the formula was all the same as Doll Parts then we wouldn't have an issue there, either!

I picked up my first Jefree star lipstick from Beauty Bliss . It’s a new zealand site that I’ve made a few purchases from . I’ve watched Jefree star produce numerous collections over the years . His products get better as time goes by .

Packaging comes in a clear tube with easy to read labelling. This nude tone colour is a medium brown tone. This consistency is liquid and has no scent .

Application wise it goes on like a dream . Just like Kat Von D liquid lipstick it fades with eating and drinking. Not suitable for dry lips. I honestly think this was overhyped .

There’s cheaper brands that do the same thing , like colorpop , Rimmel , Nyx same job even better and cheaper. I reccomend trying before you buy.

I first saw Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks on Instagram a couple of months back. The first thing that jumped out at me was how aaaaamazing the colours are. A couple weeks ago I decided to buy Posh Spice (and at the same time I grabbed Unicorn Blood for my best friend).

We were both stoked with how well packaged the lippies are as a whole. Beautiful wee pink box and the tubes themselves are gorgeous.

I haven't noticed a scent with Posh Spice, however I received my holiday bundle yesterday and I reckon Mistletoe smells like Christmas. Which is fitting.. as the holiday bundle is in relation to Christmas I'm fairly sure.

I find the wand is perfect for my lip shape and application is an absolute breeze, it goes on opaque and dries completely matte as advertised. I've managed to eat all sorts of foods wearing Posh Spice and have had no smudging. It really does stick! The formula is gorgeous and velvety and I cannot find fault with the product at all.

Removal has been easy, comes off with a few quick wipes with the makeup.co.nz wipes which is super.

Overall, a fantastic product, I am 100% in love with the liquid lipsticks and will be telling everyone I know to go and buy them!

I purchased Doll Parts in the limited edition Christmas packaging from Beautylish.

The lipstick comes in a clear round tube with Jeffree's logo printed on it. The tube is good as you can see the colour inside, and also how much product is remaining.

The Doll Parts shade doesn't have any discernible scent, but some of the other shades (particularly the summer shades) have special scents added to them.

The formula is quite thin which helps when applying it with the doe-foot applicator. A little goes a long way!

It has really good staying power but does tend to come off from the centre of my mouth a lot faster than the outside edges of my lips. It's not too drying but I do find that after a few hours it gets a bit crumbly.

My main issue with this lipstick is that the colour on the websites (Jeffree's site as well as Beautylish) show it as being a lot lighter and more doll-pink than the one I received. I've also checked swatches on instagram and mine still seems to be a bit darker and more mauve than it should. I still like the colour and get a lot of compliments when I wear it, but because of this inconsistency I've not bought any more shades from the range.
