These shadows definitely make an impact

The colour pigmentation is bold and vibrant. They are very soft and silky feeling. They have a different feel to them when swatched compared to other eyeshadows and are easy to blend. Does crease a little after few hours of wear.

Tips: Use eye primer before applying shadow

cheap, cheerful and amazing!

i don't often wear eyeshadow but when i do, i want something thats going to last and not smear all down my face. i bought a few of these to try when i did a colorpop order and man.. i'll be buying more!

they're much bigger than what i'm used to (thats what she said?) as i have only 2 too faced palettes to compare them to. however, theyre going to last a long time and i feel like theyre better protected from the elements being in their own cases.

they're incredibly pigmented with a bit of fallout, but thats to be expected these days i think. they apply super easy and blend even easier. i always start with a little and add to it if its not enough. seems to work well enough for me!

they do crease on my eyes but i have hooded lids - normal lid gals should be fine. i really enjoyed using these and i would definitely do so again!

Beautiful colours

These came in an awesome range of shades and are so affordable! I do tend to reach for my other eye shadows a little more - because they are individually packaged they sometimes end up at the bottom of my makeup bag/drawer but when I do use them they look great! Extremely pigmented - a little bit goes a long way and it does go on nicely.

Tips: A little bit goes a long way

Sequin and Krinkle

After seeing all the reviews online and the unbelievable prices I just had to pick up some products! The eyeshadows are only USD$5 each which is awesome. I joined in on an order with some friends though as the shipping can be quite expensive. I picked up two shades, 'Sequin' and 'Krinkle'. Make sure you look up swatches and reviews before purchasing as the shades on the website aren't exactly the same as the shadows themselves, although I still really love the shades I got.

The packaging of this actually feels very high-end (not even just from the price). I love the white plastic with a shine-y finish. The clear lid shows the colour through it. On the top is says Colourpop in holographic writing. The lid can be put on very tightly which is great as that is what they advise due to the formulation of the product.

These shadows are super creamy! The first time I swatched them I was amazed at how buttery they were. The colour payoff depends on what you use to apply. I find a synthetic brush is best to get a good payoff and to blend. But if you want a serious amount of colour just use your finger to pat on the colour like you would a cream shadow. When they arrive they have a raised pattern on them, but that disappears really quickly after the first couple of uses.

Sequin - This is a copper penny shade which has an amazing finish. They call it a metallic shade and it is definitely that! It leaves an almost foiled look on the eyes that is really amazing. I love it on my blue eyes as I feel like it really makes them pop.

Krinkle - This is a smokey blue shade with plenty of glitter in. It is also a metallic shade, with the same foil finish. I realised that I didn't have any blue shadows so I grabbed this one. It is quite a dark shade so great for a smokey type of eye.

I do find the wear time on these pretty good. They can last a full day on me without any fading. I do have to be careful not to put too much of a thick layer on close to the crease as I find it creases really badly if I do. But if I make sure to blend into the crease rather than pat on their it works find.

The finish of these products is not like anything else I own, maybe because of the amount of glitter in them! But in saying that I am excited to try out some of the other formulas without glitter to see if they are just as good as I would love a natural colour to wear all over the lid.

So Quiche, Weenie and Cricket

I bought a couple of these online off a Facebook make up group I heard how buttery and creamy they are I also watched you tube videos about them. I bought 3. Each came in its own individual container but don't be fooled the pan isn't as deep as the container in fact it is just like a regular cosmetic pan. The shadows do have a silky kind of texture but it isn't as smooth as say a silicone primer. All mine were shimmer finish or metallic I got Weenie, Cricket and So Quiche. I googled a lot of swatches and I really like duo chrome or multi chrome colour shifting colours. So Quiche is nice it is like an almost green brown ish gold colour but what makes the wow factor is the gourgeous gold and pretty pink glitter in it which also givens hints of silver sparkle too. This is the one I thought was a duo chrome but it isn't really although the pink glitter made it seem like it online. Unfortunately this shadow must of been on its last run when I got it as it dried out very very quickly I didn't leave the lid off either. The glitter seemed to stay on my finger not apply too wet to my eye then when it did I got a lot of glitter fall out under my eyes and on my cheeks. Cricket is similar to So Quiche but without the pink glitter and the colour is more a purpley / mauvey brown. This one still has some of the creamy texture to it which I think helps puck up & transfer the glitter better on to the eyelid. Weenie was a nice metallic orange brown copper shade which would look gourgeous on any eye shade and must of been the newest one because it was the most creamy/least dry of all. I already have similar shade to it though so I passed it on. Since purchasing these & finding out they are a cream that dry out I have been put off buying more because I already have a big collection of eye shadows and I just don't know how long the colour pops would last before drying out & loosing their creamy texture. That aside this brad makes gourgeous glittering metallic creamy shadows and they seem to be very collectable. They do have a rather yucky chemical smell to them though. I really like the pallete I have from this brand and am curious to try more of Colour Pop products. The super shock shadows are worth a try if you want some sparkling easy quick application with a nice wet metallic look just be aware they may dry out quickly making them crumble and hard to use dry.

Unique but not long lasting

Having purchased a large amount of these due to the high cost of shipping I had to make my purchase worth it I ended up with 20 of these in various shades as they are very affordable especially if you go into an order with a couple of friends to split the shipping. However the majority of them have sat in their drawer untouched as I wasn't overly impressed or inspired by them.

The colours are pretty and they come in different finishes, with matte, shimmer and even glitter formulas, you would think that a tray of these would make a great eye look without the need for anything else from a palette but I found it hard to find a good base that blended, a crease was also difficult due to the creaminess of their texture you can only apply with your fingertips and when you try to blend with a brush it gets all blotchy or drags up. Great for someone who wants to just dab a colour on the lid add some mascara and get out of the door but for me I like to create depth and dimension to the eye and these shadows just don't allow that.

Also I found that even when you reapply the lid firmly after use that over time the formula seems to naturally dry out with a few of the shadows that I hadn't even used having to be thrown out during a recent declutter due to the fact that they were dry and won't partaking their colour very good anymore.

Skip the mattes

The super shock formula is like no other. It's really hard to explain if you've never used it before. Feels almost damp and spongy. The metallics and glitters etc apply beautifully with a finger. So stunning and pigmented. Applying them with a brush gets little colour pay off and can be a little patchy. So I would suggest skip the mattes and just get the finishes you'd apply with your finger.

Tips: Apply with a finger!

Hard to work with

I love the range of colours and finishes (except the matte - avoid!), but these are so hard to work with! I'm not opposed to applying these with my finger (which is pretty much the only way to use these) but I can't blend them very well with just my finger. I only use these if I'm just using one or two colours. That being said, they are very pigmented and creamy. Just a shame I can't blend nicely with a brush.

Tips: Apply with your finger. Avoid the matte shades

I'm not a fan

I currently own two of these shadows. I say currently because I had close to 20 of them last year when I had gotten caught in the hype of them but then I quickly realised that I really dislike these!

I have the shades Lectra which is a metallic purple and Onai which is a pink satin shade. These are both really pretty colours. The purple is intense and Onai is a perfect inner corner highlight shade, brightening but not so in your face that it looks crazy.

These come packaged separately in little white screw top jars. I think the packaging is not appealing. I think it's the white, I did used to have their special birthday shade which came in a pink tub and I thought that looked really cute. Even black or pretty much any other colour would look better. Or even mattes, glitters and metallics to reflect on the colours within? Anyway, the reason these come in their own container is because these have a unique cream texture that would dry out if it was in a normal palette. I personally prefer palettes over singles but I understand the reasoning behind this packaging.

Now, something I don't see a lot of people talk about is that these only have a shelf life of around a year before they will dry out. Even the ones I have are less than a year old and are always screwed tightly shut but they have lost the nice mousse texture and are quite hard to the touch now but are still just usable.

This short shelf life was part of the reason why I got rid of most of mine. The other big reason is I just find them hard to use. They are best applied with your finger but obviously you can't be too accurate like that and I don't find they blend well with a brush. Yes, these have incredible pigmentation and any swatches look beautiful but to me that means nothing if it's harder to work with on your eyes. These also crease badly on me. The lasting power is reasonable, they don't fade straight away but it won't last all day.

The reason I kept these two is because purple is my favourite colour for eyeshadow, not that I reach for this often! And the other one I had pushed my brush in to see how far down it went in the jar (not very far, these are quite shallow pans). I do use this one pretty much everyday, not because it's a holy grail but because I'd like to use as much of it up as I can before it completely dries up.

Another downside is cost. Yes these are only $5 each but that's US, the shipping prices are horrendous as well.

I would never buy these again and I just couldn't recommend them to anyone.
