I really like NYX products and every few months I purchase a new beauty product just to see what they are like. One of the new products I purchased was the mechanical eye pencil in purple. It is a similar purple shade like the Cadbury logo. The pencil is lightweight and twisting the pencil up and down works very well.
It needs to be warmed up on the back of my hand before it is used. I do this by drawing small lines on the back of my hand just to get the pencil going. The formula is thick but also patchy so it needs to be reapplied until there is a consistent line.
Once applied properly it barely moves and it is waterproof and sweat proof.
This shade doesn't apply to my bottom waterline ,maybe because the formula is too thick and patchy? But it works OK right underneath the waterline (on skin) and on the top of the lash line.
Sadly I wont be repurchasing this range in the future.
I'm am always on the look out for a new eyeliner, so I was keen to try NYX's range of eyeliners when they came to Farmers.
In terms of packaging the product was the standard sleek black mechanical eyeliner pencil.
The black colour was a proper black and the mechanics of the pencil worked smoothly.
Where the product fell down was in longevity. I felt it didn't stay on strong all day like most of my eyeliners and I went through the product surprisingly quickly.
All in all it was a very standard mechanical eyeliner and didn't stand out but was reasonably functional.
