Australis Eye Brow Pencil Review

I got this pencil as a free gift for spending over $25 on australis products. I'm a bit of a sucker for free products but I was planning on buying products from them Anyway!

First impressions of the pencil, are that it's just a basic pencil. It's nothing fancy at all but it's reasonably clear that it's from australis and is a brown eyebrow pencil. On the cap is a little brush. I personally don't like these brushes at all. Spoolies do a way better job of brushing brow hairs than this brush.

One of my pet peeves with brown pencils, is for it to be labeled dark brown but it's actually Auburn. This pencil is a very warm, almost red color. Naturally, my hair actually is Auburn but my eyebrows are a very cool toned brown. I feel like cool toned is way more flattering on me. I have been using the dark loreal brow plumper to help darken my brows once i use this to make it more wearable for me.

The formula is good though, it's easy to build up depth of color and it's not too dry or too creamy. I do use gel as well, but i have no issues with this smudging or fading away. My brows are still firmly in place at the end of the day. This i a pencil you need to sharpen but you don't need to use too much so don't have to sharpen it very often.

I'm not planning to use this one again, but I think I would pick up the black version if they make that color, I'm into dying my hair black at the moment. If you have red hair or very warm brown, I think this pencil would be a good color match for you.

Australis Eye Brow Pencil was the first brow makeup purchase I ever made, and I've been using it for a few years now as it's so good.

I have this in the shade Dark Brown, which is the perfect shade for my dark brows, and the colour is quite pigmented. The consistency of the pencil isn't waxy and it's firm enough to create defined lines without looking harsh.

In terms of longevity the pencil by itself is really long-lasting. When I'm in a rush I use it alone to define and fill my brows and use the the attached comb to comb my brows into place. This creates a natural, defined look. Most days however I use this to first define my brows then fill and set them with my brow kit and gel for something more standout.

I'm very happy with this pencil, mine's now down to a stub and I would repurchase! This is a great affordable option both for a brow novice or for someone more experienced.

Eyebrows are an important thing to me especially in the summer time when I need my eyebrows to stay on while I'm in or near the water.

I've had this pencil for a year and I always go back to it. It looks like an average pencil but its more than that! I have black eyebrows but have noticed that if I use black eyebrow products it looks too dark for my face so I look for Dark brown colors which are more kinder to my skin tone. The Dark brown shade is perfect for blending in with my dark eyebrows without making them look like they've been drawn on with a sharpie.

I don't have much use for the brush that's on the outside of the lid and I prefer to use my eyebrow brush I already have. I like how you can draw defined lines that look like eyebrow hairs in the front of your eyebrows and defining your eyebrows are an easy task. I have patches where I have hairs that haven't grown back and using this pencil makes it look like I've always had full eyebrows.

This is the perfect pencil to travel with, its small and handy to use, its such a relief to know that when I'm swimming that my eyebrows are not washing off like they normally would.

This was my first ever eyebrow pencil! I have used many eyebrow pencils but I always come back to this one. It is a perfect texture for filling in brows for either a more natural or defined look. I find the pencil doesn't last that long for me. The shade variety is great, and the lightest shade is perfect for me. The little brush at the end works really well too! A really great brow pencil for the price; I definitely recommend it :)

Over the years I've tried heaps of brow kits and pomades but I always go back to this pencil! Its so easy to use you really cant go wrong and it lasts well even in humid and hot temperatures.

The pencil has quite a creamy texture which is perfect for natural brows, but give it a sharpen first and its easy to do a more bold brow or sharp arch.

Not to mention the pencil lasts aaaages also! Such a bargain.

I've been using this brow pencil for the past week. I'm using dark brown,as I have dark brows, but I find it's not quite a perfect match. The other colours weren't my colour, and the dark brown was the closest match to my brows. That aside, I find it good. Easy to use, and the brush is great! I use the pencil to get sharper lines, then use my brow palette to fill in and get the colours just right. All in all, the Australis brow pencil is a good product that does what it advertises :)

I went into my local Farmers store and was recommended this eyebrow pencil by one of the makeup staff members who told me that the dark brown pencil would be best, therefore I brought it. This pencil was the first that I had brought so I was in no means an expert when I came to having perfect eyebrows. I found this pencil very easy to use, the brush is very useful. I have only applied this pencil on dry and I find if applying it wet means that colour is too dark and doesn’t give that professional look. I would describe my eyebrow colour as light black, so for me I only use this pencil to fill in my eyebrows and not define them. I will be repurchasing this pencil in black!

I love this product. Simple to use for beginners and a great addition to the brow routine of pros. I use the second to lightest shade for my light brown hair and fair complexion. I fill in my brows with this by first defining the bottom edge with a sharp clean line, shaping and filling in my sparse tail, and feathering through the front of my brow for a little more fullness. I set with s gel to give my brows back some texture, and always leave the house confident that my brows are sharp, a good colour match and will last all day.

I first brought this in light brown/blonde colour as my first ever eye pencil, I soon returned to purchase in dark brown as the light brown was too yellow for my skin tone - would suit super fair people more.

I find the formula glides on really well and using gentle small strokes to build up depth and it defiantly reflects that of real hair.

I have been getting more game at drawing my brows on bigger/thicker and with more shape since I have had this pencil and I like the way it sits on my skin where there is no hair. (My natural eyebrows are SO small). It is fairly easy to remove if you make a mistake, I suggest to start soft and then slowly build up coverage. The product lasts on my skin all day and is easy to remove at the end of the day.

The pencil sharpens easy and I haven't found the pencil to be getting used up really fast, I've been using this daily and its lasting really well.

The only downside for me is that the brush on the lid - although a great idea - it is to hard for my brows so I instead use a softer spoolie to first groom my brows before I apply and then also after to help blend the colour. The last few weeks I have had some great comments on my brows and I have this pencil to thank for that, plus myself for having a bit more confidence to wear my brows more bold!

This is my first ever brow pencil and I was a bit dubious at first. However I was surprised with how easy it is to use and how good it is at creating anywhere from bold brows to something a little more natural. It's creamy and easy to apply and also easy to brush through to distribute the colour evenly. Definitely a pleasant surprise and love the small price tag attached to it!
