This purple shampoo is one of the best and most effective purple shampoos I've ever used. It smells great and does the job and its affordable. Would recommend for all my blondies. Only down side is your hands get dyed purple if you massage it into your scalp with them.

Tips: Use a scalp massager when using it so you don't dye your hands
Great and affordable option. Smells fantastic and leaves hair smelling fragrant throughout the day.
Nice texture, easy to get through your hair. some brands leave hair feeling quite dry this one doesn’t.
Wasn’t a big difference in my brassy tones but there was a slight effect and with regular use I’m confident it will show fantastic results. Would defiantly continue to use as a much cheaper option than the fanola brand I currently use.
Tips: Put the shampoo in dry hair for a more dramatic result
As a natural brunette gone blonde I always struggle with brassy undertones coming through. In the past I have found purple shampoos drying and make my hair brittle but this product does not do that. It leaves your hair feeling hydrated, toned and even smells amazing
Tips: Lather it up in your hair and leave for a few minutes to ensure it works best
I purchased this for my daughter as I used an ombr`e dye on her brunette hair. If was left with an orangey tone. Well this has toned that down nicely to give a nice colour. It can stain the scalp a wee bit. Her hair is shiny and soft not dry at all and the important thing is that she is happy with this and will continue to use it. This smells nice too. Use for the longest recommended time for best results.
Tips: Try not to put too much on your scalp or it will colour.
I was pleasantly surprised by the shampoo Pros -smelled great, -cute purple bottle (which would be easy to spot on supermarket shelves) -affordable - hair feels lovely and weightless after the first wash - does what it claims and reduces brassiness
Cons - not dramatic results in reducing brassiness although I’m comparing it to Kevin Murphy’s range so this is a good affordable alternative - only available at New World and Chemist Warehouse, I shop at Countdown so hopefully they expand where it will be available
This purple shampoo from L'Oreal is great. I use a lot of different types of purple products on my white hair and most are quite good. This product is up with the best of them.
I have used it twice so far and the yellowing has reduced already, leaving with an ashy result. I'm going to experiment with leaving it in for different lengths of time to see what different results I can get, because I also don't mind my hair being quite blue. My hair is also clean and fresh as washing with this product.
The product comes in a 200 ml purple bottle with L'Oreal branding and a flip top. It is a thick, rich purpIe cream with a lovely scent. I use it as directed, massaging into my hair as recommended, and leaving for around 3 minutes. I've realised I only need to use a small amount because the first time I was quite generous and got some dandruff. The second time I used less which worked a lot better.
The blurb says it will work instantly to neutralise unwanted yellow and orange tones to help leave blonde hair looking bright and beautiful between colouring. It certainly meets this claim. My hair does look bright and clean.
I'm not sure of the price, but it is a great product and only needs a small amount per use, so will last for ages.
I highly recommend it.
Tips: Use with the creamy purple conditioner for best results.
I have blonde hair and I found this shampoo is amazing! I found it to leave my hair feeling fresh and clean. I also loved the smell! The consistency was good too, very thick. I found it was easy to work into my scalp. I thought it was going to stain it, but it did rinse out eventually, it just took a little bit longer then I expected. I looked in the mirror to check it was all out and it wasnt. A few times I thought it was all out and I had to go back in the shower to re rinse. My hair feels super soft and looks shiny! Happy with how the colour looks, brighter and blonder! Would use it again and also recommend it to my friends!
Tips: It is extremely purple and stains your nails! SO WEAR GLOVES. Rinse out well!!
My hair is blonde, highlighted with my natural colour in between. I like my blonde to be vanilla and fresh but it does tend to get brassy no matter what I do. So, I was very excited to trial this new purple shampoo.
The bottle is bright purple and stylish - I love the packaging and it’s eye catching. I have tried many L’Oréal products in the past, and hoped this would be as good.
The formula is also purple. The label said to leave the shampoo on for three minutes which I did. The shampoo has a pleasant smell and while I was shampooing I shaved my legs waiting for the shampoo to do its magic!
The formula did help soften and remove the stubborn brassy tones from my hair and left it feeling silky and smelling nice.
Overall a really nice purple shampoo. Another winner from L’Oréal.
I am always dubious trying new purple shampoos and have a fear that it will turn my hair purple The purple shampoo is dark enough to help neutralise orange tones- without leaving my looking like I had a purple rinse. It smells good and gives a nice lather too. Hard to say longer term effects as I only use toned shampoo once a week- but my hair didn't feel awful or 'gritty' when I dried it
I needed to try something on the cheaper side to goldwell and fudge purple shampoo as we didn't have the money to spare on those luxury items that week so I took a leap of faith and brought this in my weekly supermarket shop from countdown and the results were so good, right up there with the salon brands.
Tips: Leave in for a few minutes if your hair is quite brassy and then rinse
