Eyeshadow palettes are my Achilles Heel. I love them. Can't get enough of them. I need to have all the colours. All the textures. Every time a new palette enters my life I find myself hoping it will be different, more interesting, better than the last. I can't lie. There have been a fair few fails, but there's been some delightful discoveries along the way. So who can be blamed/thanked for this addiction of mine? You guys! It was the reviews on Beauty Review and the chat on the forum that saw me lured into the palette life. So what are the Top Rated* eyeshadow palettes as voted by you? Check these beauties out!

I’ve never tried Lorac or Urban Decay . I’d be interested to see what their like to use. I have Too Faced Chocolate Bar it works nicely.

17th July, 2018

I own none of these. I rarely wear eyeshadow I feel like it is too high maintenance for me as I always rub my eyes so I would look like a hot mess lol!

16th July, 2018

I haven't tried any of these. I like TheBalm Nude Tude eyeshadow palette

16th July, 2018

Sigh. I don't own any of these, but I have wanted the Naked 3 palette for a long time.

16th July, 2018

All so similar!! Where are the colours? My own faves are things like UD kaleidoscope dream and KVD metal matte

16th July, 2018

Sounds amazing but I always feel palettes are a waste because I never use all the colours

16th July, 2018

I don’t have a lot of skill with eye shadows either, I envy people who do. Love the look of the Stila in the Light Palette though, the neutral colours look really wearable for most people and it’s cool that it comes with its own waterproof eye liner!

Urban Decay Naked 3 looks lovely. I don't have big palettes like that as I don't have much skill with eye shadows so I have small ones with 4 or so colours in them.

I do that after I apply my eye primer except I like to use a matte, light colored eyeshadow to do that. I swear that's the eyeshadow that I consistently hit pan on.

Thanks Missxjewel. I'll give that a try.

Thanks, that is so cool, & I will try it. I never wore much make-up in my 20s & 30s, but I’m making up for lost time now!

tabucutie

I feel that way too. I have hit pan on a couple of shades and have not and will probably not use others.

tannygirl
17th July, 2018

You should try Makeup Geek then you can just buy the shades you like and make a palette you're know you're going to pan off.

tabucutie
18th July, 2018

I like eyeshadows and that's a good recommendation but sounds like effort. I am too lazy to do it that way lol.

BeautyGirl
18th July, 2018

I totally agree with you here! I hit pan on my neutral mattes and then the darker like black etc might have been touched 3 times if im lucky.

tabucutie
19th July, 2018

Same as. My transitional shades are the only ones that hit pan. I rarely touch the black, I don't want to look like a panda.

That "neutral" trend was in for years and still is. I think a pop of colour is lovely, particularly purple. Matte, shimmers and everything in between.

oh i get that but literally everything up there is similar, surely there are some highly rated more exciting ones :o

tannygirl

I like a lot of neutral eyeshadows. Matte and fairly neutral colors on the eyes, shimmer on the lid and then a drop liner. I do love a bright fushcia lip or the occasional red lippy.

BeautyGirl

Same! but at 52USD that's tonnes in NZD!!!

stephxo
19th July, 2018

Oh yeah it’s always coming up on 1day. I grabbed mine in one of those big bucket deals. All the shades are highly pigmented. It’s definitely worth getting
