Do You Regularly Use a Serum?

I remember when serums were an extra step in my skin care routine that required remembering and effort.  Now, they're THE step in my skin care routine.  If I could only buy one product for the rest of my life it would be a serum.

Thicker than a liquid but thinner than a cream, a serum doesn't replace a product in your skincare routine - you introduce a serum to take advantage of the highly concentrated active ingredients and deep penetrating formula.

Serums are often introduced as a 'cure' or 'rescue' when your skin is already showing the signs of ageing, but they can be used earlier to help prevent the signs too.  Regular use of the right serum can prove invaluable in the fight against lines, wrinkles and age spots.  They can also help reduce the appearance of scarring and even skin tone.  Serums can also be really impactful at targeting specific skin issues such a dull skin, rosecea, or acne.

And wouldn't you know it we have ourselves a serum going out for review!

Garnier’s Vitamin C Brightening Serum is enriched with [3.5%] Vitamin C*, Niacinamide & Salicylic Acid and promises to reduce the appearance of dark spots and enhance glow.  It also contains Lemon Extract, a powerful superfood known for its brightening properties.

The formula has been carefully blended to provide dark-spot action without being heavy or greasy on the skin and has been scientifically proven to reduce dark spots and acne mark appearance.  It is formulated to suit all skin types and tones, and is dermatologically tested.

Oh and all Garnier products are officially approved by Cruelty Free International - so it's kind to the fluffies too!

So if you'd like to put your hands up for this trial team (if we can keep them away from the Beauty Crew!) why not get chatting to us about your serum experience.  Do you regularly use a serum?  For what problem and what results have you seen?  If you don't use a serum, why not?

I dont use a serum and I don't think i need it in my skincare routine but I'd love to try it and see if I can be proved wrong. I would be perfect for this trial as I'm a serum virgin and have a regular skincare routine that I religiously stick to, I would be interested to see if a serum is really necessary.

I have hyperpigmentation under my eye would like to see if that helps with that also very uneven skin tone

Would love to trial - currently have 4 serums I cycle between. Just finished with a vit C serum and looking to replace..perfect timing for this trial!

I have used serums in the past under my moisturiser but haven’t used one for awhile now. I would be keen to try this vitamin c serum out and see if it does improve my skin texture and tone, fine lines and wrinkles.

I love using a serum as part of my regular routine but this one sounds much better to help with acne marks which seem to linger on my face!

I’m a huge serum fan! I love the sound of this one as I have acne marks that really bother me. I’d love to get rid of them or at least minimise their appearance a bit!

I don't regularly use a serum as I find they can be a bit expensive and don't do what they say they will. My aging skin would live to try this one

I use serums daily, 2 different ones day and night. It's hard to say what results I see because they have been so long in my routine, I should say they play crucial role for my skin health. Loving the ingredients of this one, seems perfect for breakouts too.

Yes, I have dullness in my skin that I'd like to try and brighten up my skin. I use a few serums already, but none that target dullness, if this helps, it'll be a regular in my routine.

This sounds amazing. I use a serum but haven't tried a vit C one. I have a couple of dark spots from removing seborrheic keratosis which this sounds like it could help to lighten.

I have heard good things about vitamin C, would love to have a chance to try it.

I’ve never actually tried a vitamin C serum which is crazy because this sounds exactly like what I need. I have very dull uneven skin, I get a bit of acne and I have acne scars. I learnt all about vitamin C in my beauty course but never have actually gone and bought a vitamin C product!! I would love to be on this trial as I really care about my skin and want to look after it. I don’t have many fine lines or anything but would love to prevent that.

I use a natural serum for aging skin, I find it helps to keep my skin from drying out too much and also gives my skin a glow as it is a oil. I find my skin is dry when I have missed it or run out. Would love to try this one for my dark spots I have from both aging and also from running out in the sun daily. I am interested to see if this would help reduce them.

Gosh. I am so in need to try a new serum. My other one just didn't crack up!

11th April, 2022

I love a good vitamin C serum. The one that I have been using is good but I'm looking for the best for my skin. Serum have helped my skin a lot but it is hard to find a really good serums sometimes. I would love to try this.
