Do You Regularly Use a Serum?

I remember when serums were an extra step in my skin care routine that required remembering and effort.  Now, they're THE step in my skin care routine.  If I could only buy one product for the rest of my life it would be a serum.

Thicker than a liquid but thinner than a cream, a serum doesn't replace a product in your skincare routine - you introduce a serum to take advantage of the highly concentrated active ingredients and deep penetrating formula.

Serums are often introduced as a 'cure' or 'rescue' when your skin is already showing the signs of ageing, but they can be used earlier to help prevent the signs too.  Regular use of the right serum can prove invaluable in the fight against lines, wrinkles and age spots.  They can also help reduce the appearance of scarring and even skin tone.  Serums can also be really impactful at targeting specific skin issues such a dull skin, rosecea, or acne.

And wouldn't you know it we have ourselves a serum going out for review!

Garnier’s Vitamin C Brightening Serum is enriched with [3.5%] Vitamin C*, Niacinamide & Salicylic Acid and promises to reduce the appearance of dark spots and enhance glow.  It also contains Lemon Extract, a powerful superfood known for its brightening properties.

The formula has been carefully blended to provide dark-spot action without being heavy or greasy on the skin and has been scientifically proven to reduce dark spots and acne mark appearance.  It is formulated to suit all skin types and tones, and is dermatologically tested.

Oh and all Garnier products are officially approved by Cruelty Free International - so it's kind to the fluffies too!

So if you'd like to put your hands up for this trial team (if we can keep them away from the Beauty Crew!) why not get chatting to us about your serum experience.  Do you regularly use a serum?  For what problem and what results have you seen?  If you don't use a serum, why not?

I love using serum but I haven't tried vitamin c serum!!

I still have some acne scarring from a teen that has always made me self conscious (I used to hide behind my hair). I have heard wonderful things about Vitamin C assisting with such concerns, this serum might be ideal to brighten and soften my problem areas! Would love to try this

As I get older I am starting to get more obvious dark spots on my face. I'd love to see if this helped lighten them! I've also recently had a benign small tumor removed and would love to see if it helped with the scar near my mouth.

Never used a serum not sure what it does & if it works.

I do intend to use serums regularly but to be honest I'm not sure where to start so I often change what I am doing. I haven't been blown away by anything I've tried yet. I'd love to try this serum to see if it will help my tired 40+ skin. I love products with vitamin c. It would be great to see if this delivers as it says it will.

Yes I have tried a few and haven't had a great outcome they gave me spits or made me itch, so I would be interested to see how this product goes.

I use serums everyday ranging from retinol, niacinamide, glycolic acid and vitamin c. I usually find serums that sink in after a while and don't sit on the skin are most effective. A vitamin c serum I've used instantly brightens my skin so would be nice to try this serum and see what affects it has on my skin!

I have currently run out of my serum I normally use. I would love to trial this product to see how it works for me. I normally use a serum with my quartz roller which is a perfect combination.

I have never used a serum before although I have heard so much about them! I have just been so busy with my little ones I never got around to trying any or even knowing which to try.. i would absolutely love for this to be my first!

I've just started using serum and mixing it with my moisturizer and night. So I'm totally in a new territory as I approach a more mature (snigger) age...40. With my complete lack of knowledge in the serums available, I do own a few serums which I'm able to make a comparison too, if I were lucky to trial this serum, which sounds delicious!

I love to use serum and am always on the look put for new products to try. I also love Vitamin C as I'm almost 50 I've recently got my first couple dark spots so would love to see if this product could help me out. As well as mature skin I also have sensitive skin and see this product is suitable for all skin types and is dermatologically tested and cruelty free. I would really love to be part of the trial team for this product.

Yes I do (most days anyway),can't really tell if they make much difference!...I haven't tried a vitamin C one before though but I would love to try as I'm 52 years old and I'm starting to get some dark spots on my skin!!!

A few years back, I used to use a serum every night. I cant remember which brand it was (I purchased it from farmers) but it did wonders for my skin. My face was super soft and glowing. I remember I stopped using serums as I was trying to figure out what was giving me acne, and I haven't used it since. This has reminded me of how much I have missed the feeling of using a daily night serum.

13th April, 2022

Yes I do! I’ve experimented a lot with different serums and absolutely love antipodes..but my wallet doesn’t ahaha. Anything by some by mi (Korean brand) has been amazing! I love incorporating anything that has anti inflammatory properties in it
