So we're back with another trial team from the cult brand CeraVe!  This time we're looking for reviewers to form a trial team reviewing two products; both products are suitable for skin with Ketatosis Pilaris and Eczema - two conditions that can be at the least; annoying, and at the most, painful and frustrating to live with.

Keratosis Pilaris is a common and harmless skin condition where small bumps are present, mostly on the arms, bottom, back, thighs and sometimes the face. The bumps can blend into the skin, or may be red, pink or brown and some people find KP itchy.  The bumps are caused by an excess production of keratin, which gets trapped in the hair follicle.  It's most common in children and teens, with women more likely to experience it than men.

Eczema is a common skin condition, of red, itchy and/or dry skin.  Eczema can be quite mild, or very servere - impacting daily life in some cases.  The causes of Eczema can be complex, the most easy to identify are irritants such a soaps, wool, heat or sweating.  Allergens such as pollen and foods can also cause a flare up.  Emotional stress is another eczema trigger.

Eczema commonly begins on the face, hands and feet, but it can spread to the whole body.  Eczema can be identified by itching, redness, tiny fluid filled blisters, dry, pale patches of skin and areas of leathery, thick skin.

One key factor in both soothing and preventing eczema flare ups is moisturising.

This trial team will be reviewing the Smoothing SA Cleanser and the Smoothing SA Moisturising Cream.  Both products work together to exfoliate, soften and smooth dry, rough, bumpy feeling skin without disrupting the protective skin barrier.

My 11 year old son has eczema and it has flared up with winter, being inside in heated conditions and then out into the cold. It seems to flare up in winter and right at Christmas/New Year time with all the pollen in the air. We would love to try this product to see if it is easy to use and can provide relief to his skin without the need of strong medicines.

I'd absolutely love to try this! I've got eczema on my forearms, hands, neck and stomach over my stretch marks. I'm currently using prescription cream but it's not doing anything. I've tried a lot of products including oils, kakawaka balm, moisturizer etc so would be great to see if this helps

I would like to try the cleanser. I have KP and currently use an assortment of products to counteract this. I have tried the smoothing cream and definitely have thoughts about it but have not used both of these products simultaneously.

Would love to give this product a try. I have eczema and more often than not, I have to resort to prescription creams. I am always on the look out for a product that works just as well. These days my most problematic areas is on my fingers, I also do get the odd patch near my eyes.

I had eczema as a child and it seemed to disappear …until I needed surgery for a few different cancers. Ever since the surgery for breast cancer, my eczema has flared up and become a bit of a pain. It would be lovely to try something that could help. This sounds great!

I have keratosis on my neck and hands, would love to give this a go

I get exzema on my right palm and fingers from time to time, this started about 5 years ago. This year it hasn't been as extreme, but I still have to keep my hands well moisturized to keep it in check. My Son has had exzema flare ups since the age of 2 and still gets it on his hands, he is now 35. I would like to try this and let my Son try it as well to see if it helps.

I have heard all the hype about Cera Ve products, but am yet to buy into that hype. I get eczema on my hands on and off and have tried alot of lotions and potions and doctors cream! So this would interesting to try and to see if it really lives up to the hype!

I get KP on my arms, it's super frustrating, I never knew what it was until I just read this article. You learn something new everyday. I'd love to see if I can decrease the bumps. That would be the dream.

Oh YES PLEASE! I didn't realise CeraVe had specific products for eczema/KP, these would be amazing to trial. I have lifelong eczema all over my body and always have to be extremely careful with facial products in particular. I also have dishydrotic eczema on my hands (small blisters that itch and pop, very unpleasant) and haven't yet found a cream to properly sooth the flare ups.

My boyfriend has really bad eczema and I would love him to have the opportunity to trial these products, and me to review how he has found them.

22nd July, 2022

Yes! Been debating whether to buy these products for a while to help with my ongoing eczema (face, neck and patches on my chest and arms). Over the years have found products that help for a week or so but my skin seems to get used to the product and stops working. Would love to try out CeraVe and see if it makes a difference
