L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Shampoo Review

For a shampoo that you can purchase in a supermarket this this shampoo rates rather highly. Although it was nothing amazing, it still did what it said it would and made my hair smooth. However, I didn't eradicated my frizz as well as the bottle claimed. I really like the packaging as the gold looks classy and expensive. The smell is nothing special and I think could be worked on. Overall, a good shampoo.

Really loved this Shampoo from the first time I used it. My hair was smooth, silky and looked amazing.

The packaging is really nice and inviting, I preferred the Shampoo packaging to the Conditioner packaging though.

You don't need to much product and it lathers up really nicely. The consistency was really lovely too and didn't smell potent like some shampoo's do.

I wash my hair every second day and I did notice by the second day it's usually a little greasy but with this shampoo it wasn't so I'm really happy with that.

I did however, notice that when I blow dried my hair I got MUCH better results. When I air dried my hair my hair was quite greasy and oily even though I had obviously just washed it. This being the reason for 4 stars. I would only use it if I had time to blow dry my hair properly.

Overall, I was really happy with the results it gave (when I blow dried my hair) and am most definitely going to use and buy again :)

I liked the smell and feel of the shampoo. It didn't leave my hair feeling heavy or soapy. I can even use it with or without the conditioner and still get good results

Great feel to my hair after use. lasted a couple of days as advertised. Great to have clear bottle verses cream bottle to easily tell the diference between shampoo and conditioner. Trialed it on my grandaughters hair which is long and curly but difficult to manage she now likes to come to nana's for her special shampoo as her hair is softer and easier to comb after using it.

I have been using this product for a couple of weeks and it has basically done what its supposed to, its smoothed my hair and leaves my hair feeling lovely and clean with a beautiful smell. Over all i am quite pleased with how my hair turned out after blow waving and straightening my hair, it wouldn't be my first choice of a shampoo but it's definitely far from the worst.

This shampoo did directly what it said it would, my hair has been alot smoother and generally feels nicer. It's fab having smooth hair and less frizzy hair (which is a big problem for me). However I found my hair went less curly and more wavy when I used this, I love the curl in my hair so was a bit guttered.

I really liked this product I have fine curly hair which often ends up a frizzy mess with other shampoos I have used. With this shampoo I was able to wash my hair every second day and it left my hair not only nice and clean but also with a lovely scent, I will defiantly be switching to this product for my future shampoo.

I was left rather underwhelmed by this product. The packaging was attractive, clear and easy to read, and the shampoo was nice to use - foamed up well, didn't need too much of it, and smelt pleasant - it just didn't deliver the results I had expected from it. I have very long and wavy hair, frizz is a problem I battle with a LOT! I had high hopes that this shampoo (and the conditioner) would ease my frizz woes and tame my hair. It didn't. If anything, it made it worse - my normal shampoo does a much better job than this! I was disappointed with the overall results, and I wouldn't use it again.

Hey girlies! This is the Elvive shampoo I got from BR for the review. So I thought I would do a bit “technical and to the point” with this review rather than my typical yarda yarda. I used the BR review tips article as a foundation to write this. God bless the lady who wrote it as it helps heaps when it comes to write a proper and informative review.

So here goes.

Consistency - This is a transparent shampoo is not so thick or so watery. In my opinion it’s just right.

Application and coverage - It is very easy to apply. I have long, coarse and thick hair, so usually I use a palmful of product. This shampoo lathers up well and cleans the hair very thoroughly. I never had to shampoo twice with this.

Fragrance - Fragrance of this shampoo is my favourite thing about it. It’s very pleasant and lasting, even after couple of days.

Usage and longevity - I tested this using this regularly for a week. Then, once every other day for another week. I also left my hair unwashed for three days and then used this. I still have about 1/3 of shampoo left. I tend to use a bit more product than a regular human being and it’ll still lasts me for about 1-2 months. :)

Price - Pretty cheap compared to other products. I saw this for $3 something on Pack N Save the other day.

Packaging - This has a very nice packaging as you can see in the picture. I love the fact that the body of the bottle is see through as I can see correctly how much I have used or left of the product. It also has a tight cap that closed up properly. I even dropped it on the tile floor, and it didn't break off. :D

Results - I tried to use this shampoo as much as possible within the time period I had and in different ways. What I found out is that, washing hair with this on a regular basis is a bit too harsh for my hair. As I said earlier, this shampoo is quite strong and has a tendency to dry out my hair on its own. I definitely need to use the conditioner with this. I sometimes had to condition my hair twice to get it to be silkier. I also found out that I can go up to 3 days without washing my hair after I wash it with this shampoo and my roots don’t get oily. And lastly, even with very dirty and oily hair, only a single wash with this shampoo is enough to thoroughly clean my hair. For me personally, this shampoo works best if I use it every other day with the conditioner. And it tends to make my hair more thick as I noticed. It also lessen the frizzy effect my hair has to a point. It’s still winter so my hair tends to go a little crazy with the added moisture in the air. But I think in the summer time this shampoo will flawlessly take care of the frizz.
