Goodness Every Week Face Scrub Review

I've used facial scrubs plenty of times before. From the type that you can barely feel to the liquid sandpaper effect. I've never found anything I like enough to buy again though. Until now. The first thing that struck me when using it for the first time was the smell. It just smells so fresh. And exactly like the ingredients. I think it was the avocado oil that I could smell the most. Like food packets, many skincare products list ingredients that you wouldn't recognise without a degree in biochemistry. But you could buy virtually everything at a supermarket and make your own by the looks of things (not that it would probably be half as good of course)! So the ingredients are simple. And so is using it. Wet, buff, rinse. Then stand back and notice how fresh your skin feels. I love the feel of then putting on Le'Esscience Beautifuel because I feel like my skin will just lap it up. Just lovely!

I picked up a decent sample of this product in a trial kit alongside the oil, day cream, night cream and cleanser. The kit was about $20 from Farmers.

Like the other products in this range the Every Week Face Scrub is packaged simply, but well, in an inverted tube with a screw cap at the base. The tube is lemon yellow, and has the 'goodness' logo and other essential product info on it.

The scrub cream is white with miniscule granules in it. On sight alone you'd never guess this was a scrub. The scent isn't my cup of tea at all. Much like the day cream, the scent of this product smells overwhelmingly of parsley to me and it's not a scent I enjoy having on my face. At least with the scrub you can wash it away though.

The product itself is actually a very good, light, gentle scrub. It's meant to be an every week one - I think you could easily use it more often. It gently polishes and cleanses your face - more of a general 'buff and clean' than a scrub per se. Skin is left feeling clean and refreshed - and ready for a moisturiser. This isn't to imply that this product dries skin out though; more that skin is more receptive to moisture post-scrub. They recommend you follow with their products, of course - the chia oil in particular. I'm more of a mix and match girl, myself.

I bought this little scrub in a 5 pack of samples of Goodness. I thought it was a Christmas thing but I do think it's year round which is super handy for anyone wanting to try the range!

This little darling comes in a yellow tube with a twist top lid, and I'm not sure if the bigger version is the same. If it is, I kind of wish that it was a flip lid, I think that I prefer them the most. I squeezed a small amount out and had a smell, and all I can actually smell is grass clippings. It's a bit off putting to be honest.

This scrub has little bits of grit in them, and I think they are environmentally friendly but I'm not 100% on that. I slather a small amount of grass clippings cream on my face and scrub it around. I find it doesn't lather at all, which is a bit boring but it is a 'scrub' so I don't really expect it to. It was really gentle and I liked that the bits weren't invasive and cutting up my face like some can.

It doesn't make my face feel amazing but it doesn't dry it out either, so I'm on the fence about whether I really like this or not. I don't think I would repurchase the full size.

So far I've liked all the Goodness products I've tried but I'm kind of on the fence with this one. It's gentle and doesn't dry out my skin but I can't stand the smell. A really strong lawn clipping smell. Not like the grass smell, more the stuff that has an overpowering smell when you mow it (can't remember what it's called).

This would be good if you don't like full on scrubs, and if you don't mind intense scents. It's not something that I will personally repurchase.

I had been a big fan of the chia seed oil and the morning moisturizer before I tried this so I didn't hesitate to buy this when it went on sale. It says weekly scrub but I find that this is gentle enough for me to use twice a week. This has a really nice smell that reminds me of freshly cut vegetables and crisp mornings in the gardens. There aren't many scrubby bits in this, and no microbeads for sure! I have sensitive skin and my face is often very tender. So this is perfect for me and I'm always left with soft, squeaky clean skin. Love love love this and highly recommend to people with sensitive skin.

I followed the instructions on the back but wasn't overly impressed I think I would be more likely to use this to remove my makeup at the end of the day as its not very gritty at all.

Bit disappointed also not a big fan of the smell either.

I was really impressed with this scrub and how gentle it is on the skin.

The goodness range comes in beautiful pastel packaging. The scrub in a pastel yellow 50ml tube. The product it self is light white and creamy with a light gentle scrub in it that doesn't scratch the skin. I smell the Chia seed like I do with the moisturiser but also found this beautifully zesty

My biggest problem with skin care is when it burns or stings the skin and drys it out as I suffer from sensitive skin. This product does none of that. I've tried 5 scrubs and 2 have been good the other 3 not so this will be added into my faves.

Perfect addition to leave in the shower. I like to use this once a week as I don't find it necessary to exfoliate and scrub more than once a week.

I love it, it has removed the small bumps I had on my forehead. I have been using this in conjunction with other goodness products and my skin has never looked better!

I really loved this Face scrub. Firstly I go to trial it when I bought a mini pack of several of their products. I LOVE that it tells me how often to use it, in the name. The scent is so mild I would say there wasn't one. The cream is lovely and is slightly grainy as you would expect from a scrub, but fine enough so it is suitable for your face. you don't need a lot, so the small sample size lasted me approx 8 weeks! When applying it spreads well and exfoliated by face well. With a face scrub, it is what it doesn't do that impresses me: this doesn't stay in my hair line (so it washes off completely), it isn't too abrasive, so it doesn't irritate my skin and cause breakouts.

It is good value for money, I would buy a full size version.
