This was the first body lotion I bought when I first arrived they had a big bottle for about $4 and since I didn't have much I went for it. It was pretty good. Smelt nice and didn't irritate my skin the only reason why I switched to Aveeno is because the EWG gave it a better rating. But if you're interested in a cheap body lotion with fewer nasty ingredients I would recommend this. My flatmate uses the Vitamin E one and he's into healthy stuff, though it's mostly food wise.

I always used to get the hydrating moisturiser, and it was really good for my skin! It was smooth and absorbed quite good. When I used it, I use to have eczema on my legs, and this product really helped to treat it.
There was only one problem though, and that was the smell. It smelled really processed and not very nice at all. Thankfully, the smell would go away after a few minutes. However, the smell did not make for a very nice application.
Overall, this is a stunning product, with it's only and biggest downfall being the smell.
Tips: You really can't go wrong with this to be honest!
This is pretty much your standard moisturizer, it does the job, but not much more. If you're looking for your standard cream, go for it, its great. Just don't expect miracles
I received this body lotion as part of a gift pack at Christmas, it definitely works well & sinks into my skin & lasts all day, not sticky. Also inexpensive, I will try the Skin Renewing one next time because the Oatmeal Shea has quite a distinctive smell which I don't like.
A good moisturiser, which is in a big bottle- which is definitely as a plus as it lasts for ages! I found this moisturiser takes a little while to absorb into my skin and seems slightly greasy.
These days I use Aveeno which is far superior - although this costs more its worth it for my sensitive skin.
This isn't my favourite nor is it the worst lotion I've used. I usually only buy this lotion when it is on special as it does moisturizes your skin but it just doesn't feel like it does much for me. I do like how you can get quantity for the price you pay. This product comes in different scents and different types for different measures of need for the customer. However, the product is runny and it doesn't absorb fast or easily compared to other brands I've used. Personally I buy it if its on special, but it nothing special in my opinion.
To be honest what made me buy the St Ives body lotion was the packaging. The oatmeal and Shea butter picture looked edible and well I just had to try it. The fragrance isn't amazing but it's not harsh. I use it mainly for my upper body as it doesn't help much on my legs (which are very dry)
I used to use this for years, and sometimes still buy it when I am grocery shopping. I loved the slight hints of scents it use to have, as it wasn't over powering. It used to leave my skin soft and moisturized. It was hydrating for the skin and didn't leave a greasy residue that some lotions do leave. It was worth the amount of product for the dollars $ side of it. You got your moneys worth, as it was so affordable. The packaging is simple but works fine with getting the product out with the pump on the top. However, when it gets low you have to take the pump off to get the rest of the product out, but that doesn't bother me. I usually do that with all my lotions bottle that have a pump lid.
I've used this off and on in the past, it's a great cost effective moisturiser that is easy to use with the pump dispenser.
I found it moisturised my body well, and smelled delicious too. The only thing is that it didn't moisturise my legs for the whole day, and needed reapplying.
I have been using the Vitamin E and Avocado lotion.. I love the smell it's so refreshing. These are very big pump bottles and can tell it is going to last me ages. It goes on nice and silky, not sticky. I have been using once a day for 2 weeks and as for moisture, I wish it kept skin looking moisturised for longer because I am lazy with moisturising during winter. But applying it more often might help with this
