Pretty in peach

I was really excited when I received Sukin's paw paw ointment to review. I have always been a fan of their skin care so was hoping this would be just as good as all their other products.

The first thing that appealed to me regarding this product was the cute packaging. It makes me think of summer and i feel 25 grams is a reasonable amount of product but still keeps it travel friendly.

The ointment is a thick consistency that clings to the area you apply it. I can happily drink a cup of tea and still feel the product on my lips. With other lip products they would disappear and I have been left wondering if they actually remained on my lips long enough to do any good.

I have tried a few other paw paw ointments over the years but stopped using them once I found out that they contained mostly petroleum jelly. Finding a similar product but without the questionable ingredients has made me very happy.

Since receiving this product I have used it everyday. My lips are nor normally overly dry and this product has helped them retain their moisture and I really like using it first thing in the morning to help condition and smooth my lips before putting on liquid lipsticks.

This past weekend my lips did end up getting a little wind burnt and while this is not a miracle product ( it's not going to return your lips to there former glory with one application) it has started to recondition my lips and t hey are already feeling better than they were.

I also get really dry and painful outer corners of my eyes at the time of year and I have used Sukin's paw paw ointment on the area at night times and in the morning the pain has gone.

I am looking forward to trying this ointment on the cracked skin I get on my hands every year too.

I will continue to use this product and test this product to see how it works for other situations.

Tips: If you are like me and find getting the product out of the tube a little difficult at times because its so thick I recommend holding he tube under running hot water for a minuet or two.

Super Soothing

My dermatologist recommended Lucas' pawpaw for my dry lips and I was thrilled to find Sukin had an alternative that was cheaper, had much nicer packaging, and didn't contain petroleum jelly!

I've found it incredibly soothing and moisturising, the texture is really lovely, and I'll absolutely be purchasing it again. It's also been wonderful as an overnight balm on dry patches of skin or around my nose when I had a terrible cold.

It is fairly sticky like other pawpaw ointments, so definitely wouldn't recommend wearing it with your hair down on a windy day, but otherwise highly recommend it!

A better natural alternative

Firstly, thank you BR for the opportunity to trial this. I would never have picked it off the shelf as I would have assumed it has a petroleum base in it.

It comes in a nice peach coloured tube with a black screw top that is very easy to use - major downfall is that when it gets cold, it is very hard to squeeze the product out of the tube. I guess it would be a lot easier in summer though!.

If it wasn't for my above comment alongside the fact the ointment doesn't readily adsorb, I would absolutely give this product 5/5. It came very close thought. The application on my lips was very easy, but the backs of my hands was a bit harder as the ointment had to be rubbed in quite hard.

I used it on my lips and the backs of both hands - both super dry areas of my body. There was a vast improvement in the scaly looking skin on my hands - after about 30 minutes of applying, the skin in the area looked smoother and plumper and less crepey. I'm pretty much in love! My lips also stayed hydrated for a few hours.

I think this tube will last me at least a month, so at $9.99 it will be pretty economical.

I will more than likely buy this again due to it's natural properties and also because it doesn't really leave a scent or taste on your skin. I like that a lot!

Tips: Warm the product in the palm of your hand before squeezing out of the bottle. It'll make it so much easier over winter.

Sucking paw paw

I came across this when the other one I normally use was out of stock. I love the peach colour tube it’s very pretty with the pink and grey writing on it.

Works really well on a number of different things I like to keep it in the car for dry lips and as my hands get really cracked I only need a tiny bit to help them hurting as much.

New favourite

Aw Snap

Sukin’s pawpaw ointment is a great formula and a good alternative if you’re getting a bit tired of Lucas’s.

It’s great for hydration and as a barrier ointment on the lips.

It also smooths and soothes chapping and chafing.

I’ve also used it in a pinch to relieve itchy skin until I can get some more suitable cream.

I even liked the tube until I was nearly finished the ointment and the top snapped clean off. Now regarding the packaging with some suspicion.

Great skin product

In this cooling weather i have noticed my lips are getting a little dry so have been using this on them and have found that it has made a nice difference. They dont feel dry anymore and as an added bonus my lipstick seems to apply better and has better coverage. I dont usually give my lips any attention except just slap on my lippy when i'm doing my makeup but now that i have noticed this difference I am going to keep using this.

I did find it to be a little difficult to get out of the tube when i first got it, it was very thick and it took a bit of squeezing until i could get any out which was slightly annoying but now i know to massage the tube a bit to warm it up and it comes out fine.

I like the fact that i only need to use a very tiny amount so it will last a good while. The smell is very subtle which i enjoy, just a slight fragrance.

I have some dry patches on my hands that i have also been applying this too and they seem to be diminishing and my skin feels a lot softer and not so tight. I usually just use a hand cream but will be using this from now on as i have noticed the difference.

Overall this product has done what it said it would and i am very pleased with the results. I will be purchasing this when it runs out and would definitely recommend it to people.

Move over other ointments!

No smell (I like pretty smells but that's not always a good thing hehe) and very hard to squeeze out of the tube to start with (I thought I got a dud at first but realised I just needed to use my finger muscles haha).

I got a new tattoo a couple of weeks ago and have always used bepanthen cream while the tattoo is in the healing process (I was told to use it when I got my first one and have used it ever since). But I thought this would be the perfect thing to test this product on. So I did.

The tattoo is at the itching-like-crazy-making-me-crazy stage. I've been using this ointment since I found it in the mailbox on Saturday and have to say I'm really impressed! I rub a small amount in in the morning and I don't get the itchies all day and it doesnt get all dry and crusty.

It's also helped a lot with the bruising.

I'd definitely buy this again. I always have the "other" popular brand in the house but I had a sore a while ago that it didn't seem to help heal so I'll change to to this one going forward.

Sukin Paw Paw Ointment

I'm a big fan of paw paw ointment and have used them in the past. This one is great as it's got a lot of natural products compared to some of the other brands. It's very thick and it hard to get out of the tube but it is fragrance free, I really like that about products. I tried it on my red finger which was swollen around the cuticle area. It offered some relief, the redness and itchiness has been reduced. I've also tried in on some eczema which came up on my arm and it worked well. I will definitely be trying this ointment out on chapped lips, sun burns, sea lice rash and insect bites but didn't have a chance in the review period. I would buy this paw paw ointment and am pleased it's easy to buy in the supermarket at an excellent price.

Tips: It comes in a handy size tube that you can keep in your hand bag.

Sukin Paw Paw Ointment

Pretty impressed when the Sukin Paw Paw ointment tube when it arrived - I have use Pawpaw treatment in the past especially at the start of the winter season when the aircon heat gets turned up in the office and cause my lily white dry skin start flaking, especially leading to dry chapped lips.

I like the pawpaw coloured tube that easily fits in my clutch or and handbag, or even in my jeans pocket without having to carry around a bottles of moisturiser all the time. Also not all moisturisers works well on lips.

I found it a little hard to squeeze out but eventually got the hang of it and soon I had a new best friend that went every where with me the last week and a half.

Easy to apply and moisturises immediately on application and soothed my chapped red skin. I also used it on a few other dry spots on my arms when I did not have moisturiser with me in the office. It calmed down the itch, till I arrived home, and I do think it can be used as multi-purpose moisturiser.

Must be one of my most favourite treatments so far, and I will be rationing my way through the tube.

It states that its is made of a variety of natural ingredients, including fermented Pawpaw and has been know to have natural healing qualities. I like it and will continue using this product in future.

Tips: Take it with you - everywhere

Big power, small price.

Having never used this product before I was excited to trial it. My kids have eczema and I often get patches as well. I decided to try it on both myself and my son. We both used a small amount on our eczema twice and day. Immediately my son said his eczema was not itchy anymore and I noticed that it didn't look as inflamed. The redness was gone within 2-3 days and his skin was soft and smooth. My dry patch disappeared after 3 days and I continued to use the pawpaw ointment for 4 more days to ensure it wouldn't come back - it hasn't. My son's eczema has improved 80% and he is still using the pawpaw ointment as he forgot to put it on, but the natural oils have made a difference to his skin and what was sore, red, cracked skin is no longer. I will be buying more of this product.
