Removes and hydrates

This cleanser is so easy to use and surprisingly removes all make up without leaving a rash from trying to remove your make up and bonus as it leaves your skin hydrated and feeling refreshed.

Tips: Use a disposable cotton wipe, no need to wet it before use. Just, tip the cleanser on a cotton wipe, use it and you're done. Easy.

Garnier Hyaluronic Aloe Hydrating Micellar Cleansi

I’m a sucker for micellar waters so when the opportunity to trial this product came up, I got super excited as I hadn’t tried it before. Packaging for this is the same as the other Garnier micellar waters but with a green lid. The product itself is clear with the consistency of water. It has a very subtle aloe scent which I enjoy. I used this as part of my night time routine to take make up off and prep my skin for the skin care that follows. I put a little on a cotton pad then work it in circular motions all over my face. I use it to remove eye make up too. The micellar water removes it all with ease and quite gently as well. I never have to tug hard against my skin to remove any product. I would say my skin is normal to dry right now and this does not leave my skin dry. I feel as if my skin is ready and plumped. You do not need to rinse off before you go in with your moisturisers too. It’s so convenient when you only have a few minutes to do your skincare. The sizing is very generous and you receive 400ml of actual product. I feel as if it would last me a while as a little goes a long way! Overall I enjoyed using this and will continue to do so.

Tips: A little goes a long way! You do not need a lot to cleanse your face.

Glorified makeup remover

Anything with the word Hyaluronic on it, I feel like it MUST be good. Thinking that I need to have it on my skin because it is known for plumping and helping with more youthful looking skin. The bottle itself is very generous I think considering you only need a small squirt of it on a cotton pad or whatever you use to distribute it over your face.

I love the colour of the bottle compared to the pink the other Garnier Micellar Water is. It is more aesthetically pleasing to the eye being a pastel green and also goes hand in hand with the aloe water feel. The smell is very refreshing and pleasing. It is actually quite awakening for the senses.

The Garnier Micellar Hyaluronic Aloe Water promises to cleanse, replump and remove makeup. I can confirm that it does two of these three things hence the review title. As a disclaimer I do feel that I need to add in there that I think given more time to use it, my opinion could change. I managed to review it for 6 days before writing this. I may come back and add to the review should I find it to be something other than a glorified makeup remover.

Final conclusions: Definitely removes my hard to remove eye make up so yay big tick. I no longer have to scrub it off! It cleanses to a point, but I think I never quite feel like it is clean enough. I tend to go over with a foaming cleanser which removes still more gunk. That to me is not a good cleanser. The replumping - I feel that the jury is still out on that one until I test it further. To date I will say no.

Tips: Use reusable makeup pads to save on waste

What a product

Omg this is the Best cleanser I've used in a long time. Very light and fresh feeling applying to the face. Cleans the skin just as good as it hydrates! My skin feels super soft and rehydrated after applying this everytime! Removes make up super quick and with so much ease no rubbing is needed and without a sting to the eye. Best product to have packed in my suitcase to Tonga. Will continue to buy this product and I recommend everyone to try it!

Garnier Hyaluronic Aloe Hydrating Micellar

A good product that does the basics.

This micellar water removed most of my makeup - not quite in one swipe, but good enough to equal other micellar waters I’ve used. This works for me - I use micellar water to remove most of my makeup but it doesn’t replace cleanser (which I use after).

The scent is pleasant and fresh, and the water is cooling on the skin. This leaves you feeling clean and refreshed after use.

Did it hydrate my skin? I honestly can’t say. What I can say is it didn’t further dry out my already dry skin and it didn’t leave it feeling tight or uncomfortable. And with the potential of benefits to drier skin, I will definitely keep using this product.

Overall, I would buy this again. It does the job well enough and didn’t irritate my dry and sensitive skin. It also made my skin feel refreshed and clean; wiping away the day.

Tips: Shhh… I often use micellar water to also clean makeup brushes!

Gentle and refreshing

I enjoyed trying the Garnier Micellar Hyaluronic Aloe Water. I'm not a frequent user of micellar waters as I tend to just wash my face with face wash and water. This product has a clear, watery consistency with a light aloe fragrance (it reminded me of a cucumber scent too which is lovely!).

The consistency is really refreshing on skin, I used it by applying to a cotton pad and gently swept or patted it on my skin. I found it removed light makeup well (if I had more makeup on I'd probably apply it more than once), and like the label claims, it left no residue. It didn't feel sticky or leave a heavy scent behind, which I appreciated.

My skin felt hydrated, refreshed, and cleaned afterwards. I've started using it even after coming out of the shower because I love the refreshing feel of the aloe water over my face (and even lips) during the dry winter season, before applying toner, serum or moisturizer. I don't think I've used it for long enough to notice it's re-plumping or smoothing qualities but keen to continue using it to find out!

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this product from Garnier, I didn't have super high expectations but I've enjoyed using it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a refreshing and light micellar water that's very hydrating.

Tips: Pour the product gently onto a cotton pad, it doesn't take a lot to soak it! Lightly sweep over the face, it's gentle enough for the eyelids and lips too.

Better than regular micellar water

I’m intrigued by micellar water in general. I just don’t get how it actually cleans- surely you’re just rubbing watery makeup around your face?

I find removing makeup with regular micellar water very difficult. This stuff- works like a dream to get makeup off quickly and easily. It seems to have a bit more substance to it than the regular version - a little thicker or more oily but still like water - I think that’s the difference that makes it remove makeup so efficiently. A quick slosh on a makeup pad and a couple of wipes and makeup is gone it’s that easy. When removing my mascara I did find that this micellar water went into my eyes really easily even with them closed and stung quite a bit.

My face felt soft and clean afterwards and didn’t dry it out at all. Plumping? I did not notice any such thing but perhaps with continued use this may have some noticeable effect. I have very normal skin and didn’t feel any leftover residue but after a few days I did notice quite a few bumps and pimples coming up like my skin was very congested.

I’d definitely recommend this for makeup removal - it can’t really be faulted with how well and quickly it removed foundation and sunscreen and left my skin looking perfectly clean. But I think I may still prefer a cleanser to clean my skin afterwards.

Fresh cucumber scented - it’s a very green fragrance similar to the Garnier Aloe mask and moisturiser, I’m not a fan of the scent but my daughter loved the smell so it’s a personal preference definitely.

Tips: Be careful around your eyes- it was a bit stingy.

Favourite make up remover!

Garnier micellar water is the best for removing make up!! Absolutely love it. Takes off all my make up easily, including mascara. Leaves my fave feeling fresh, clean and moisturised. I will repurchase this. I recommend this to everyone

Tips: I use cotton pads with this micellar water.

New addition to my skincare routine

I don't usually wear a lot of make up due to my job, but I do wear a little mascara, sunscreen and moisturiser every day. This has been great for removing these and the built-up grime of the day, but as I use it as my first cleanse, I haven't seen any of the benefits of the hyaluronic acid from this. However, its already made its way into my nightly skincare routine.

It removes my mascara quickly and gently with minimal lash loss, and it doesn't irritate or dry out my eyes, which has been great, and it leaves my skin looking clean, but I never feel that my skin is adequately clean unless I've used a gentle cleanser & warm water. Maybe thats just me being set in my ways. It doesn't leave a residue or any stickiness behind like some others I've tried, so it lives up to that claim very well.

Once I'm able to test this over a longer period, removing makeup and such, I'll be able to gauge the benefits of the hyaluronic acid a little better and experiment a little more. All in all its a great addition to my skincare routine and I'll continue using it.

Favourite miceller yet

I’d been using another of Garnier’s Micellar waters recently and sadly hadn’t been enjoying it - it was very heavily scented . However, I was curious to try a different type by them and I was very pleasantly surprised. The scent is very light and the formula is definitely their best yet. I notice compared to the other formula it takes less product (and less cotton pads) to remove my makeup which is the biggest benefit for me . It comes off really easily without scrubbing. I’m stoked! It doesn’t leave my skin feeling too stripped but definitely feels “clean”. I really like this formula and would purchase again for sure. The light scent is very non-offensive and the formula definitely seems like their best yet. Makes taking my makeup off a lot easier than it was! Definitely a win from garnier.
