L'Oreal Skin Perfection Serum Review

As a moisturising serum, this was ok. But it didn't really live up to its claims of refining skin texture and evening out skintone. I used it over several months with no change in skintone, I now use it as a basic primer before light makeup. The packaging is also very cheap with the pink paint around the squirty part flaking off.

I got this serum after seeing Shaanxo's review of this product on YouTube. I find that this is a great serum in terms of hydrating but I don't think it's made too much of a difference in terms of my uneven skin tone, acne scars and redness.

I have found that my skin has become softer and plumper from using this serum. The texture of my skin is smoother and more even. It stops my skin from drying out during the day and makes my foundation less cakey. I have combination oily skin and I apply one pump for my whole face. If you have dry skin you will probably need two pumps. I apply this morning and night. In the morning I will follow with my day SPF moisturiser, followed by primer and foundation. At night I will use a night cream on top of the serum. It gives my skin good hydration but I wouldn't say it provides intense hydration, so I would definitely recommend following with a moisturiser, especially if you have dry skin.

The consistency of this serum is a little bit thinner than face moisturiser. It's fluid and easy to apply to your whole face. It takes a couple of minutes to soak into your skin but then dries so your face isn't left feeling wet or sticky. This serum has a pearly, satiny finish which illuminates your skin and leaves it with a slight glow.

The packing is a clear rectangle bottle with a pink and white design. It has a pump which is easy to use and makes t easy to dispense the product.

Overall I have really enjoyed use this serum and I would buy it again. I would definitely recommend this product.

Packaging is super cute, the product comes out in a pea size, which is all you need to cover your entire face. Leaves the skin feeling silky soft, and sinks straight into the skin. I didn't see a huge difference in minimizing pores, yet did make my skin feel hydrated and smooth. Will purchase again

Average product, I havent really used much of the Loreal line in terms of cleansing skin products, this product is about average, it didnt really do to well for my skin that others could do at the same price. It did feel nice whilst applying but after washing my face it dryed out really fast. Love the packaging though

I got told about this by a friend, she said that it worked wonders for her skin so I ofcourse had to test it out for myself. I wish I didn't! I used it for the first time and yeah I guess it felt nice on my skin but the next day...

OH MAN! I had 3 huge pimples on my chin and knew it was this product because my skin had been breakout free for months and this was the only new product I had tried. I waited 1 week for the breakouts to leave my skin then I gave it 1 more try because for $30nzd I wanted this to work! Woke up with another small cluster of pimples but instead of not using it again I kept at it for two weeks straight, in those two weeks I experienced the worst breakouts of my life and there were constant new ones appearing every day. That was it for me, might I mention how bad this product smells?! Stopped using it after a straight 2 weeks of constant use then 1 week later my skin was starting to look like it's normal self again. The 2 weeks I used this product I didn't notice anything positive on my skin which is a shame because this is an expensive product! Maybe this product just didn't agree with my extremely oily acne prone skin?

I am only 19 and it says on the bottle it is meant for women in their 20-30s so maybe that's a true fact!

I did like this product, I feel like it didn't last very long but perhaps I was using too much. It did seem to minimise my pores a tiny bit but not a huge difference however this was the only product from this range I was using at the time so perhaps if i used it with the other items then it would work better. I love the packaging that the item has. I did like that it wasn't too heavy on the skin and sunk in very well.

I knew it was a risk to buy this but I couldn't ignore the rave reviews and I've been on a mission to find a great moisturiser that's available in the supermarket (other than Cetaphil).

The glass packaging is impressive even if it is pink (ugh). It comes with a pump but I wonder how good that pump will be when you near the end of the product. I quite enjoyed how well it sat on my skin. It has quite a thin texture which was easily absorbed and didn't feel greasy however it was slightly sticky.

Unfortunately my sensitive skin didn't agree with this product which is why it was a risk. It took me 5 days to react - redness, rash and dryness which are the common signs of a reaction for me. I can't comment too much on whether it blurred my pores or if it helped to even out my skintone but I really didn't notice a difference during that time - is it suppose to be immediate or long term?

I can say that it most definitely made my skin feel soft but so do many other moisturisers out there. One thing I didn't like about this product was the scent. I don't mind moisturisers having a fragrance however I felt this one was way too strong for the face. It's like a floral fragrance gone off.

If I hadn't reacted I don't believe I would repurchased anyway. Needless to say my mission continues.

I got this serum, along with the Loreal Skin Perfection moisturiser and Colour Riche Extraordinaire lip colour, as part of my subscription to Bride and Groom magazine.

The sleek bottle is a beautiful bright pink. The silky textured serum is pumped out in pea size amounts and one to two pumps is all you need per use. The serum does leave a little bit of film over my skin but it is not greasy and feels really nourishing. I have used this serum for a week and half now and have loved the sweet floral scent and how soft and well hydrated my skin is after suing it. My skin really does look and feel like it reached it's perfection in the mornings after I've applied the serum the night before.

I will definitely be purchasing this serum once my free bottle is finished.

I was excited to try this skin perfection range as it stated it would clear inperfections and make skin looking "perfect". Firstly the bottle looks really nice and it does have a pump and pumps out a small amount at a time. The smell of this does smell nice but has a strong perfume smell to it. I used this for about 3 months every night and I found that it did not do that at all. I saw that my skin was exactly the same as it was when I first started using it. It did make my skin feel very moisturised and a small amount did go along way. Don't know if I would purchase this again though... maybe if it was on special as it is pricey.

I got given this as a present and I love the way it makes my skin feel. A little goes a long way and the consistency is great. I can't say that it worked miracles on my skin but it is great under make up and does the trick as a moisturiser.
