Loreal X3 set includes the: *Eye cream - genius applicator - recommended to all. **Serum - my favourite product in this set, fits so well with the eye cream & day cream - highly recommended to all. ***Day Cream - devine, such a lush product to use, no SPF is the only negative for me - recommended to all. ****Night Cream - is thinner than the day cream, seems like the day should be the night cream and the night be the day. Felt that the night cream stands out as the odd one out, its texture is different than the other three, colour is white and unfortunately the cream rubs off - not recommended to anyone.
I have used all 4 products for the past 4 weeks with a remarkable result. I have noticed reduced intensitiy of fine lines, noticable reduction with the intensity of my frown lines inbetween eye brows, much smoother & even complexion, long lasting moisture and reduction of red cheeks. I don't have Rosacea or anything nasty, just red cheeks, very annoying to me and I am so stoked they have reduced dramatically. This was a unexpected result.
With the exception of the night cream I would certainly recommend the system. Eye cream and Serum being used morning & evening would be a minimum. Don't forget SPF when using the day cream.
All products have a subtle fragrance & are easily absorbed. I have seen myself take a little more time and care using the products, they require a delicate touch and with the busy life we all lead rushing face care can be easy.
If you can't invest in all 4x products in range at one time my advice is Serum 1st, Day Cream 2nd then eye cream 3rd giving the night cream a miss.
I am rating 4.5/5. I don't think not using the night cream would make too much of a difference. The magic must have is the serum, that stuff is devine and in my opinion its done most of the work.
Loreal & BR, thank you so very much for the great trial. It really does remind me that using products designed to be used together can create amazing results.
Review disclaimer: This was a BIG review and to be as fair as possible to the products, I shelved my regular routine and didn't add in any new products just so I could gauge the effectiveness of this line alone.
Serum Oh my gosh. My skin loved this. Two pumps, twice a day and my skin was just drinking it in. Doesn’t smell too bad, and does make my skin feel amazing straight after application. The texture of my skin did improve slightly, but I also starting breaking out.
Day Cream Not offensive and probably a bit heavier than I’d like from a day cream. No SPF which is disappointing as over the summer holidays, I gave my skin a break and didn’t wear any makeup. I would say that yes, my skin is firmer, but marginally so. A thick-ish cream too, so not my favourite as I like my creams to be super lightweight. Merely a personal preference kind of thing.
Night Cream For two weeks, when this cream went on, I wanted to claw my face off. Its not so much as a cream, but a moisture mask. I despise heavy moisturisers every night. The texture is kind of like a jelly/cream; smell not offensive, but its so thick and heavy. Every morning I woke up with the Exxon Oil Slick for a face. It is just too much moisture. It’ll have its place, like after an AHA peel where you want to get as much moisture in to settle the skin as possible, but every night, its a nope from me.
Eye Cream The bags under my eyes are Chanel. Or at least, I wish they were. This was the only product that gave me the most noticeable results. Whilst my wrinkles didn’t get zapped into history, they certainly were slightly less visible and my skin texture certainly improved. Even a wee dark spot beside one eye has started to go away as well. The applicator is bizarre and with my bad eyesight and a mirror far away, I got it in my eye once, so resorted to using my fingers for application.
