Not a fan

I don't like this lip balm at all it's extremely shiny which looks terrible on me having very full lips so there is just too much of it and the color is quite pale, it looks very wrong on me but might look okay on someone who has thinnner lips and pale skin tone. Also for me it doesn't provide enough moisture, it actually seemed to accentuate the dryness. The only good thing i can say about this product is cute packaging..

Not a nice colour

I used to wear this all the time when I was in my early teens, but I recently repurchased this the other day, hoping I would still love it.

Nope. Yuck. Honestly, what was I thinking? It is so frosty and shiny that it makes my lips look almost reflective. Plus, it's not moisturising at all. Pretty much every lip balm out there is better than this, to be honest..

Blandly colored shimmer stick

Unfortunately this is not a product I would buy again or recommend to anyone else, if it's not a pre-teen with very light coloured lips.

Usually I really like Nivea lip balms whether they are tinted or not. But this was a total disaster on me. I have somewhat dark pinkish/peachy lips with burgundy/ brownish color pigmented areas on my entire upper lip and around the bottom lip. You can see a photo of my lips colour in here. Left side picture is of my bare lips and the right side one is after moisturized with a regular lip balm. https://scontent-a-sjc.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/t1.0-9/205519_10150129380073221_2044487_n.jpg

Normally I'm not a person who go for this sort of colour even in my dreams. So are you wondering how I got to use this? Well...I received this as a gift from a friend with bunch of other cosmetics.

All in all this is a very light coloured lip balm with plenty of shimmer to light up a disco. It sure gives the shine they advertise about. And that's where it stops with what it does, that they said it would do. This doesn't moisturize enough and doesn't last long.

So in the end I ended up using this in the comfort of my home where no one else can see me sporting a scary looking ultra shimmer lips. Thankfully it didn't last long since I had to apply and reapply constantly to keep my lips moisturized.

Tips: My lip type : Dry Lip pigmentation level : Heavy

This is not a lip balm for very dry and pigmented lips girlies. If you have them stay far far away from this.

To much shine

I recently bought this product and it was super affordable, the packaging was superb and the formula was moisturising, long lasting and prevented dryness, but there was so much shine and shimmer it made my lips so reflective it was not natural at all!

Tips: once applied dab your fingers on your lips to try dim down the shimmer.

Smooth lips

I actually quite like the Nivea lip care pearl and shine. It has a pleasant smell, and once applied makes my lips feel velvety and smooth. I do agree that it may not last long, and does need reapplying. I like to use this daily as it has a nice pink shade, without looking like lipstick. The packaging is quite nice too, well priced, and can be purchased at the supermarket!

Somewhere in between

It is affordable & packaging is neat but it makes my lips so shiny and unnatural. It keeps my lips hydrated for the first couple of hours from applying it but that was it. you will always need to re-apply.

Not for me

It smells great, it lasts a fairly long time on your lips and the packaging is nice but that is about as far as it goes for me. There is so much light pearly shimmer in this product and it definately did not do me any favours. Did not match my skin tone and wearing this in public would have been slightly embarrassing.

Tips: If you don't like shimmery lips, go for the plain one as the formula is great and is long wearing.

NIVEA Lip Care Pearl And Shine

Really disliked this product and ended up throwing it out. I found it was not mosturising at all and the colour was a little 'tacky' on the lips - as in it makes you like like you are a blast from an 80's past! There are better quality balms out there so I would not buy again.
