Neon colour alright!

I have 'Pink shock' and 'Oh! orange' from this range. They are not very moisturising to the lips so I use these on top of EOS lip balm to give some colour to my lips. PINK SHOCK - A bright vibrant pink with blue undertones. I would have liked it more if it had a bit more orangey undertones to it. But hey.. I can't really complain. They delivered what they promised with this colour. OH! ORANGE - Colour payoff is very poor. These are usually in my car's glove box. So in my rush if I forgot to apply some colour to my lips I have these as backup. Most of the time I apply the orange one first and then the pink one. As a combination they give my lips a very pretty pink colour.

Sucker for bright colours

As a fan of the original baby lips, i was always tempted when i saw this range come out, and i had heard they had nice pigmentation for a lip balm, but i had so many lip balms so couldn't justify buying yet another one.

It wasn't till maybe a year after these were released that i picked on up at a big bucket sale, just because they were near the counter as i was leaving and i got sucked in. Damn marketing skills.

Any who, the packaging itself it actually quite bulky for a lip balm. I mean its not that much bigger than the normal lip balm, but it just feels bulkier for some reason. Its made of plastic, and feels quite sturdy with bright packaging which makes it a bit of fun.

The lipbalm gives my lips a nice subtle tint, which i really like, especially for those days when i just want a low maintenance look. I don't find it ultra hydrating or anything, and i don't find any long-term relief from using this lip product, but it doesn't dry out my lips or anything, and does provide short term hydration so that's nice.

Overall an okay lip-balm but no need to go rush out and by it because its nothing amazing.

Pop of colour

Used the last range of baby lips so I thought I would give this one a go. Very good as a lip tint as the colour pops but also good as a lip balm. I personally like the other range better but this one is still good too.

Pop shock

So I managed to give this a go whilst I was going through other maybelline products, I did enjoy the other Baby lips color balm they did have so I was looking forward to this azwell. I must say it was a shocker how pink the product came out on my lips, was definitely a summery night club maybe going out lippy, nothing natural just a really vibrant color, loved the scent and the packaging though

Pink Pop

I brought the exact colour that is above in the picture, it's a pink pop colour. This lip balm wasn't your normal basic lip balm that's for sure, it had more colour then others ive used which was nice. It defiantly didn't give me 8 hours of hydration like it said it would though which was a bit of a bummer. Would i buy this again ? probably not, there is better lip balms out there.

Popping

I picked this up from Cracker jacks along with my blush . I hardly reach for balms but I’ve been intrigued by them in the last couple of months. Within the last month or so my lips have been dry so I’ve been trying to get into using balms more often.

Packaging is bright coloured . Consistency is like a balm with a bright pink coloured shade very neon . It’s sort of patchy because my lips are naturally dark . I’d definitely need to use a primer underneath it . It last me an hour or so and it begins to fade out after a while with eating and drinking .

Price wise it’s extremely affordable. I enjoyed using it . You definitely need to top it up throughout the day . It’s not something I can see myself wearing often as I tend to use mattes and creamy lip products more. I’m glad I tried it out though.

Gets the job done but not the fastest in action

I picked up this recently as I was having trouble with my lips during a cold/flu/bug thing and my current balms and salves ran dry. In pink shock.

Designed I feel in the mind of attracting younger teens even though it sucked me in, the black casing is covered with a clear acrylic lid with the logo printed in pink down its body. Inside the twist up and down balm type lipstick sits in a very vivid pink shade, with a subtle taste and aroma of berries that left a soft pink tint to my lips when applied, but it didn't last more than 30 minutes which may be because I was constantly rubbing them together to relieve the cracked sensation from them being run down.

The promise of my hydrated lips wasn't entirely true and I felt that I was applying this quite often without getting a great deal of moisture retained in my lips, I did however see a slight improvement but nothing that would make me rush out and repurchase it. I did give it a few days and I have grown to like the soft tint it gives but I had to give in and purchase a more intensive treatment to bring my lips back to tip top health.

Definitely a good balm if your lips are in a good healthy state to begin with and would make an awesome light substitute to a lipstick during the summer months.

Fun but fake

Sooooo as I’ve mentioned before in a review for normal Baby Lips products, these are super fun and colourful! I love the subtle tints and shine that they give your lips, perfect to top off a makeup look. Easy to reapply for an entire day’s glam.

BUT no to “ 8HR Hydration”. That’s false advertising because I’ve never found any Baby Lips products to be effective against dry lips. In fact I’ve found that if applied to dry lips they end up getting worse. You need a proper moisturising lip product, whereas these are essentially just plastic coatings for your lips. They look wet and shiny but it’s all a ploy.

I’d still buy and use these products, but certainly not as a remedy for dry or chapped lips.

A little dry...

The thing is a absolutely love the colours in this range, my fav being pink shock (which smells like lollies may i add) and also the berry bomb one. Super bright and build able. But maybe it's just my dry skin causing to seem drying to me? I'd give it a go regardless though! I do love the baby lips range.

Tips: Mix this with another chapstick
