I got a pottle of this in a beauty box I subscribe to, and I just love it. I like the smell, kind of methol like, and the tingly feeling when you put it on, lets you know its there and doing its repairing job. I have it beside my bed now, and every night without fail ,I put it on as part of my bedtime routine. When I went away for a weekend and left it at home, I really noticed how dry my lips felt. I now have two pottles, one in my bag, and one by my bed, for the price it is an awesome product and i'm so glad that I was introduced to it.

Tips: Have a pot in the car, in your bag or in your desk, its so handy to pop on so your lips don't dry out.
That sounds naughtier than I inteded, but about a month in to using this paticular balm, a slit appeared at the base. Now i'm not paticularly carefuly with my possessions, so is this my fault and not a design flaw, possibly, fortunately nothing has leaked out of it, and i'm not too fussed about the hygenic-ness of having a slightly open container. But some of you may be. So I am just warning what may happen. Otherwise - this is comparable to my Holy Grail Blistex. I really like the applicator on this type. I have the tub also, but the tube is definately preferred.
Tips: I'm unsure how easy it is going to be to get out when i get down to the scraps, I do like that you can tell in normal balms or tubs, this however you can't, so I just have to trust I am getting all the product out which bothers me a little.
Carmex turned my lips around in days. They were sore dry and flakey, nothing else fixed the problem except carmex. After just a couple applications I felt the difference. It has made my lips softer and smoother than ever before. My go to lip balm.
Tips: Just persevere with the initial tingling sensation after application. After using it for a couple days you know get the sensation. It is worth it
I absolutely adore using Carmex! It gives you a good tingly feel when first applied and it does a good job at moisturizing your lips. Normally I would use it 10 or so minutes before using lipstick or lip liner just so my lips don't feel too dry and when I get sick as the smell of methanol helps. Unfortunately I've run out but hopefully I will buy one soon.
Tips: Reapply liberally when needed.
I have the tube version of this and I am currently using it every night before I go to sleep. I have a large number of lip balms, all for different purposes, and this is one of the best to put on before you go to sleep.
The formula is quite thick, but rubs into your lips easily. It is not a waxy formualtion like some stick lip balms can be, and instead is more of a slippery texture on the lips.
I find it very hydrating, and often when I wake up I still have some residue on my lips - I do tend to apply generously however. I really enjoy the tingling sensation of this as well - it does not last long though. The real test of this lip balm will come in winter when my poor lips are chapped beyond recognition - but I have no doubts Carmex will be up to the task.
I received the little pottle version of this, rather than the tube, in one of the GoodieBox parcels last year. I'm so glad I did!
My first impression was 'oh my god, did they send me vicks???' but after a while, I got used to the warm tingling sensation and I use it religiously now. It sits on the side table next to the sofa just in arms reach, so I can apply whenever I like.
The little pottle is all white with a yellow lid, and inside the golden product. Using a finger, take the smallest amount possible. It's super easy to put on, so if you start with a small amount, once it warms, its actually more than you thought it was and you aren't left scraping product back into the little container.
As I said, slight tingling sensation, but once you are used to it, it is quite pleasant. It disappears (or you stop noticing) the feeling, though the menthol smell doesn't quite go away, and the taste is terrible, and best of all, it lasts for hours. I can apply it at 7 and still feel it as I'm about to head to bed.
This is best used after you've exfoliated your lips. I haven't had to exfoliate for a while though, as my lips have been perfect because of this balm!
I love the tingling sensation and the minty taste and scent. I think this product is very sticky so you shouldn't go overboard during application. I would suggest to only apply it on the bottom lip and smack your lips together. I like to use this as a base for my drier lipsticks. Would repurchase but it lasts so long that I don't know when I'd need to.
Tips: A little goes a long way.
I used to spend over $20 on a teeny little tube of Zervirax, No more this product is only around $8 and is every bit as good. Tingly and soothing eases the pain of coldsores as well as moisturising your lips. Apply as soon as you feel the first tingle so keep it on you at all times. I keep losing mine because my daughter and husband love to use it. Great value for money.
Tips: Keep a couple in the house and one in your bag. For coldsores apply as soon as you feel the first tingle then about 3 times per day it will reduce the time and size of the coldsore. Use it on the beach to protect your lips from drying in the sun.
Got one of these from Goodie Box and have to say they are quite good. It helps my chapped lips and I like the smell of it. It moisturises my lips well during winter time. Would recommend it
I apply this every night before I go to bed and I always wake up with soft luscious lips! When you first apply there is a slight tingle and it does have a strong menthol smell/taste to it but I like that. When I say it tingles it never stings and I have very sensitive skin. It has repaired my lips from almost every situation including sun and wind burn. In terms of consistency and durability it's a thin clear consistency but it last a long time when I wake up its still on my lips.
Tips: Exfoliate your lips before you got to bed (I use lush bubblegum lip scrub) then add this for soft kissable lips every day!
