I was gifted this product and felt I had to use it as the family member always asks how the presents were, but it’s just not nice. It felt like oil on my lips, I actually wondered if it had separated in the tube so I squeezed about a 20 cent piece sized amount onto a tissue until it came out consistently white. It doesn’t taste or smell like honey, in fact it didn’t smell like almonds either. It smelt oily and tasted horrible, I had to wipe it off every time I tried it and even then I could taste the oil. I’ve never used anything like it.

I recently received this lip balm in a goodie box. Its a lovely lip balm, but it almost feels as though it sits on the lips as opposed to soaking into them. Personally i prefer my blistex that i have used for years and years, however this is nice for a quick pick me up when your lips get dry - especially in those cold months. It doesn't smell of much - maybe a little like vaseline?
Tips: Good to use for a general lip conditioner unless your lips are really struggling - then it would be best to use something a little stronger.
I received the Linden Leaves lip balm as a Christmas gift and it is a lovely lip balm to keep beside my bed. With ingredients like manuka honey and almond oil, it has a slightly sweet, natural scent and a nourishing, thin yet rich texture. It is easy to apply with a slanted applicator - also making it a good option to keep in your handbag or take travelling, when you don't want to dip a dirty finger into a pot of lip balm.
If using this lip balm in the morning, I apply it at the start of my routine so that it has time on my lips before I apply lipstick. It is quite nourishing and almost oily, so I prefer to apply it in the evening when I can be more generous with my application. I am left with smooth, hydrated lips in the morning.
Overall pretty impressed with this lip balm, keeps my lips nourished and moisturised. I like that it has natural and organic ingredients such as Manuka honey , sweet almond oil and white tea. I have noticed a difference in how moisturiser my lips are since using this but still think carmex comes out on top. The flavour/ taste is subtle . I would highly recommend for people who want a natural lip balm alternative.
Tips: It says to use this to protect against the harsh effects of heat and cold so must be good to use in very hot/ cold temperatures when your lips are chapped.
This product is ok - I finished it, but I haven't repurchased. I'm happy that it's a natural product so when it is eaten off I'm not getting any nasties. I'm also pleased that this is a New Zealand brand, and they have a factory in Christchurch.
Downsides: But I just feel like it's straight up honey, rather than being a lip balm. I think the texture is just too thin for my tastes.
This lip balm honestly feels like Vaseline on the lips as in its very moisturising but very greasy. This comes in a handy plastic tube with a slanted tip which makes for easy application. It is a clear jelly type balm that is great over lipstick for a more glossy look. I paid $10 for this balm so do believe it’s good value for money as it did last for ages. There are other balms I prefer but wouldn’t rule out using this again as it’s great for in the handbag and does moisturise quite well.
